- I begin by reflecting on the vanity of BMW riders (including myself) before going through the process of removing an old tank badge from a 2011 BMW R1200R Classic and installing a new one. Tools required:- hairdryer, fishing line, rubbing alcohol, rag, and plastic or rubber levering tool.

Thanks for sharing mate 👌👌👌
Nice job replacing the BMW tank logo. Thanks for taking the time to record & share this video.
Thank you for the video 🙌
Thanks for sharing. I just noticed my emblem had fallen off my 2011 r1200rt today.
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video! Gorgeous BMW by the way!
I'm going to buy a new one and your replacement could be a perfect idea.
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thank you! - same case here... Need to do the same. Btw, I have the same bike - 2013. Nice ride!

Thank you for this video! Just ordered a replacement roundel for my 2012 R1200 RT and this is exactly what I needed to see! I originally thought I was going to have to remove the fairing. Glad that I do not have to! One question though, the back of the roundel looks as if it has 2 pegs...does the fairing have holes are markers to line up those two pegs? Thanks!!
Thanks - glad it was of some help. No, the tank didn't have any holes for those pegs on my R1200R. Might be different on the fairing of your RT?
@@donaldomoto I just removed the old roundel (thanks to you) and yes, there are actually 2 holes in the fairing to line up the new badge with. New one is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. There is a lot of the adhesive left on the fairing that I need to clean off, but you are right....I don't believe there needs to be any additional glue added....it wasn't easy getting it off, even with a hair dryer and fishing line....but I got it done! :D. Thanks again!
