Blue sky, comfortable temp and the sound of Redwing blackbirds in the background. Great treat on this stormy, wet day. Thanks Tom and I hope you have a great Xmas.
I bet those PNW wet winters are pretty brutal. For some reason, we're getting RAIN here too, instead of the usual snow. Although the rain is freezing when it hits the ground.
I really enjoyed the camera rod today. It really gives you good idea of what exactly is going on down there. That little lake has a lot of catfish. Really nice water color & good clarity. 🙂👍
Used to have good water. It got floooded a week after this video was shot, now the water is brown unfortunately. Maybe in a few years it will clear up. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks.
Now I am on the right video. Very interesting how different fish reacted to the bait. Underwater pictures were as clear as can be. Nice day of carp and cats. Keep the underwater pictures coming. Thanks for another interesting video.
@@OutsidewithTom Hey Tom I must be getting old, don't know how that happened I haven't even seen your video yet, going to watch it this morning. That comment was for Dieter Melhorn 81 lb. Blue Catfish his PB. How did I get that wrong
Great video, I enjoy seeing the underwater footage. I get little taps on my rigs and would be cool to see whats going on. Fishing has been slower this year, but I used your oatmeal/cream corn pack bait and caught a 29lber, thanks!
Their mouths are definitely fragile compared to most other freshwater species. Unlike Bass or Catfish, hanging a carp from the mouth will likely rip and damage the mouth. This why you see people using slings, or weighing the fish in a net like I do. They don't have a mouth that can be used as a handle like other fish, so laying them on the ground is needed, hence the ground mats. I think letting ANY fish flop around on the bare ground or sticking fingers in gills is poor fish care (with a couple exceptions). Great question, glad you enjoyed the video, thanks!

Another awesome video Tom!
Thanks again!
Watching the video while the PNWet Coast is getting nailed again.

Hopefully I can get some more underwater footage like that next summer, thanks David.
Great editing! I’m watching now on the bank at 9:52am in hopes to land a lake record. Hate to gloat but it’s 70 here in North Texas. 😅
Geez that must be nice! Its 30*F here in PA this morning.
That's awesome, I'm jealous!
All I can say is what a GREAT fish and I am very happy for you
Thanks!

Glad the packbait worked!
Definitely need to try that hack with my camera! So far, I haven't gotten a carp to show on mine, but have been photobombed by sunfish 😂
You'll get that carp on film someday!
Good video
Camera very cool fascinating really. Thank you for the effort. Question...observing the difference in fish handling between species. Are carp fragile?

is that a gallon zip lock or a 2 gal you use to mix the pack bait in?
@@charmynboone3605 1 gallon

Sewer bass!!!

👌♥️
Does the hot sauce tiger nuts keep the turtles from eating your hook bait. I have a real problem with them eating my nuts
I doubt it, but it's worth a try. I don't think there is any natural bait a turtle won't eat. Let me know how it goes, good luck.
Are you going gym?
