I run a windscreen. I cut it down with a Dremel tool 5 inches so I can see over, but it will change your experience. At 70, 80-90 mph everything is much BETTER.
Maybe one day I’ll want for one , but so far I just love no screen , I’ve never had one .. and don’t mind wind up to 100 mph . I think because I have back rest it’s not an issue. Only time it was , was in extreme heat … like the hot wind melting my eyes .
Hi run a screen on a Africa twin which as been now been stolen but always favored my Harley street bob clean air no buffering sorry you can tell I've niver liked screens niver have but each his own ride safe stay free
Some great advice, we have the start & the end of our trip next year booked with hotels, in the middle we know where we are going but what roads we are taking is going to be on the day . Your last point is good MONEY. Everyone at work thinks biking is a cheap holiday if only they knew the true cost
Travelling in France, Post office cash cards or HSBC global card, don't use them to pay for fuel or tolls. They take 200 quid out each transaction, then 3 days later the money minus the fuel cost back in your bank.
Bloody hell I didn’t know that ! Great advice that for anyone using those cards , that could really cause problems. Thank you for posting that ! Cheers Mate
Bike set up for you...best advice ever, its the main reason i restored mine. Spent a couple of years getting it set up for a wore out construction worker. What a class act you two are, entertaining and great advice with mad talent for both. Thanks again.
Downloading maps is a great call but something else I would put in the top ten as your mbl phone is an integral and important part of the trip is make sure your mbl phone service provider covers you in all the counties you visit (especially outside the EU) and you either have enough data allowance or it's easy to add extra data. It can get expensive and be a pain in the arse if you have the wrong deal.
Yeah so true and that’s a really good point. I think we could have done 25-30 good points but videos get too long . My Son-in-law very tech guru and clued us up what ones to use. Most of the providers now charge you after you use X amount . We ended up buying a virtual sim via an app to get more . But at least downloading maps saves you using data for that.
Another thing to be aware of is that many cities in Europe are implementing the equivalent of low emission zones. Most sensible people will be avoiding cities, but sometimes it's not feasible. Pre-2000 bikes, for instance, won't be eligible for the lowest level of Crit'air sticker in France. Also the fines are non-trivial.
Concerning spare key. What if u have a key fob. If u stash it somewhere on the bike. Yeah. Someone can start up and steal ur bike. What is ur advice for that my friend?
@@danielcarroccia1042 haha yeah definitely not to stash a key fob on bike , That’s making it bit easy for them . I’ve only got one fob , I take spare key … On trips but if I lose fob I’ll have to do the type code in drama , My spare key I have hidden on my person . I must buy a spare fob though . Because thought of doing the code with indicators for 2-3 weeks would be testing !

The vignettes for Switzerland (and Austria and Slovenia) are available from petrol stations near the borders.
Thanks for watching & for taking time to comment. Yeah that's good to know, appreciate that info. Happy travels
Personally I stay off the Swiss motorways, there are so many good roads there I wouldn't want to sit on the motorway.

Another option is not to be prepared at all ;) but it can be a bit hardcore, depends where you go ;)
Done that plenty of time solo , but don’t ever do it with your wife haha
@@LeanIntoTheWind I wouldn't even think about it :D
