      Do it like Wilder vs Joshua 1st so we can unify the division. Joshua gets koed cold by Wilder. Fury rematch wilder with wilder having all titles and losing to Fury and Fury defend them against Joshua. Joshua would probably win and give Fury a rematch. The rematch would determine who's the greatest.

      @Zooce Pierce The scoring of a knockdown round is 10-8. Wilder knocked him down twice. People are saying Wilder only won the rounds the got a knockdown if that's true then the scorecards should be 116-110 for Fury. Now, let's be generous and say Wilder won 3 rounds it would be 115-111. The only way to score it a draw is 113-113 letting Wilder win 5 rounds. Do you really believe Wilder won 5 rounds?

    How the hell could that judge give the first five rounds to Wilder? That judge should be banned for life.

    • @davidbrandel1311
      @davidbrandel1311 4 роки тому +8

      Mixed Man The rounds need to be awarded on a majority basis. If one judge gives the first five rounds to Wilder but the other two judges only give Wilder two of those rounds while giving Fury the other three, then guess what? After five rounds Fury is up 3-2. Awarding rounds on a majority basis eliminates outliers and produces a single scoring set. Boxing should also make judges’ scorecards public information and rank judges on something called inter-rater reliability. Simply put, it is the percentage of time a judge votes with the majority. The judge that gave Wilder the first five rounds only voted in the majority 7 out of 12 opportunities. By contrast, one of the other judges voted in the majority all 12 rounds.
      The first judge would be said to have an inter-rater reliability rating of 58% while the second judge’s inter-rater reliability rating would be 100%. But only in my perfect world would any of these changes ever be implemented, even though they would go a long way to establishing some semblance of credibility to the sport of boxing. I’m not going to hold my breath.

Judge was invisible, but hold everything in his hands. I don’t even remember of his look. That means he was perfect. He has unbilivable feeling for box. Well done. Thank You judge. • @davidbrandel1311
      @davidbrandel1311 4 роки тому +1

      Andy Stewart If the referee was that unsure about Wilder he should have just stopped the fight. I timed the actual start of when they resumed hostilities in the eighth round from when the actual start of the eighth round should have been and it was EIGHTEEN seconds. That is an eternity to a fighter who is as well conditioned as Deontay Wilder. Greater physical conditioning generally equals faster recovery time, and in DW’s case it was way more than he probably needed. It may not have actually affected the outcome of the fight, but at the same time, it would be silly to argue that Wilder has ever been in more serious trouble at any point in his professional career than he was at what should have been the actual start of round 8. Although impossible to prove, it isn’t much of a stretch to picture Ortiz knocking Wilder out if round 8 had started when it should have.

    The draw means Wilder v Fury 2 will be next. But, the one guy made a good point about when Wilder fights AJ. Wilder has no technique and he fights very sloppy and wild. AJ like Fury can slip them punches and outbox Wilder. Now AJ doesn't box as well as Fury, in my opinion, but AJ definitely hits harder than Fury. So AJ v Wilder would be an interesting fight to me.

    give me a break..... a knockdown is NOT AUTOMATICALLY a 2 point round for Wilder
    If Wilder is getting his ass out boxed for 2 minutes and 30 seconds of a round....at that point it would be a 10-9 round for Fury.
    A lucky haymaker for Wilder does not magically erase Furys 10-9 round he had going and make it a 10-8 round for Wilder.
    That would be a THREE point swing and is absurd.
    At best it would turn it into a 1 point round for Wilder.
    but whatever....and listen to Max trying to justify it....he says the knockdowns were 2 point rounds for wilder so all he had to do is win 3 other rounds for a draw.....hell Wilder didnt win 3 rounds if you include the knockdown rounds ....much less 3 more on top of that lol

    Underestimating Fury’s punching power is foolish. While it’s not on the same level as Wilders, it’s still excellent. His game plan was to outbox Wilder. By Wilder’s own admission he was rushing his punches and trying to KO Fury. This is a mistake Fury did not make. Fury throws heavy bombs and clearly stunned Wilder. However Wilders punch speed is almost unheard of

If anything, that fight showed how much better of a boxer Fury was than Joshua. The year before, when Klitschko was just dazed by a 10/10 boxing performance from Fury? That was a perfect boxing fight. Fastforward a year later and Joshua is just eating punches from Klitschko in the 5th and 6th. Keep in mind the difference of 12 years inbetween the two.

      Ian Cohgneetoh : unfortunately it's the business aspect of it all... the heavy weight division is very small so what they have ask themselves is... how can we stretch this out and make more money.... by deciding a draw and having a rematch. Once the rematch is over, the big fight everyone really wants is the D Wilder vs Aj which you can almost guarantee a draw will be the outcome(saying it half jokingly). I can see why they do it but I don't agree with it because you loose boxing fans by turning them off from the division or the boxing sport all together, but the funny thing is its a catch a 22, they try to stretch out the fights for fans to pay and watch but end up loosing them same paying fans when they get turned of from the sport. The purity of the sport is long gone when big money got involved.
