Halloween got too corporate. Too many costumes from every series, where back in the day folks costumes were made from home . They had more personality.

Late 80s and 90s kid here. Halloween was so much fun!!!! knocking on your friends doors and going together trick or treating was the best!!

the 90s was the LAST of the full scale Trick or Treating across neighborhoods.
I'm not a Gen Xer but yeah fact is, nowadays things seem joyless, overly corporate, and too homogenized

To be fair, it was much more fun in the 70s and 80s. But everything was better then. I feel sorry for the kids today.
