The answer is also a little bit complicated. 1) God is a person. 2) God is a three part person. 3) God created man in his own image. 4) The three parts of God are the: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So here we go. Jesus (the Son of God) is the physical embodiment of man. The Holy Spirit is our soul, which is dead when we are born. Our Father is our intellect and he allows us to make choses. Because we are human we have to acknowledge that Jesus made Himself vulnerable to man. Jesus is God and He allowed his creation to kill Him. Having said that God is a forgiving God. If you want salvation the only thing you can do is to enliven the Holy Spirit within you. The only way to do that is with a sinners prayer. God made you; he wants all three parts of you to be at one with Him. You need to want to be a child of God by your own choosing and make the Spirit of God alive within you. A sinners prayer: Dear Father in heaven, Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I want to receive Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.
