- Just some good ole Q&A with Mike..
Also, as I am being informed that the 15L Cummins is day and night different in the Vers, disregard my comments of the Engines. 🙂 Thanks
Stay awesome you guys!
www.patreon.co...
How much of a degenerate am I??? Im in the tractor going back and forth watching someone else in a tractor going back and forth...thanks for helping pass the time..
Hey, we all have issues.. Atleast we can all admit them 😂😂😂
Same man lol
Hey Mike, you have so much energy, ..... mount some pedals in your "Johnny popper", maybe it gives you just enough power to go uphill. ............... 🤣 😆.
I couldn’t see any speed limits being broken lol
Mike, enjoyed the show😊. Was watching while seeding chicks from our 525 Big Bud. You can thank us for slowing down the western "breeze" before it gets to you. Oh this is our last seeding day 👍
Haha thats awesome! 🙂 It must feel nice to be done!
Yeah, thanks for not having the click bait titles lol
How many acres do u farm mike
100% I approve of the non click bait titles and the decidedly non influencers style commentary.
Conor Mcgeary Mike, his two brothers & dad and crew farm approximately 40,000 acres in SW Saskatchewan.
In case, see in the description
Haha that description is either loved or hated 😂 you guys are awesome! And thank you 🙂
I'm just wondering what will happen to mad Mike when he will drink let me say 4 Red Bull 0,5l ???? Will the RX lift up or will Mike explod ?? 😂😂
It would give me wings 😂
In your case man...jetpacks 😂👌
@@mikemitchell2554 Hummimgbird no doubt
We have a versatile 550dt in east central Ontario only time its ever not had enough power was deep ripping about 2 feet deep and hit a rock about the size of a small car and stalled it right out 😂
To funny Mike. I was just going to ask you if the farm has tried any type of Versatile equipment. Then you go off about Cummins engines and up and down the field we go. I sure hope a dealer in your area drops one off for you to test out. Hello Mr. Versatile Dealer, are you out there listening????
Like Tony Beets says "make it happen".
Does anyone know what generation Mike's farm is? My guess is around 4th generation? When did Mike take over from his dad??
I live in Assiniboia Saskatchewan (south sask.) and I can vouche for everything Mike said! Awesome seeing some GOOD UA-camrs in Canada!
Question from a non-farmer ... the cost of these tractors is mind boggling! How many seasons would you expect them to last on the farm?
Depending on how much you use them.. We try for 5yrs.. That's should be easy, but they don't make stuff like they used - only because the software can give issues.. But it can last 15yrs. The older equipment can last 20+ years!
@@mikemitchell2554 Appreciate it. Stay safe!
@@adrian69644 if your looking dor power the t9 is not the answer... They are identical to the case 620... They are literally built in the same factory
@@adrian69644 isnt he on Fendt ? he went the most expensive :))
We run three versatiles and three qaudtracs, would take a qaudtrac any day, versatiles are all under 1500 hours and have been nothing but problems - ac gone at 400 idler fell off a couple of days ago - blown turbo - oil leak - diesel leak - ad blue problems. The list goes on! They do pull a bit better than quads but there isn’t really enough in it to male them a better tractor. Can see why the boss buys them though - they are 70k cheaper than qaudtrac 620s in the U.K.!
Did I miss something, in one of the last videos (or was it your 9620rx review), nothing runs like a JD. But why are you tired of that cummins then? Fuel consumption?
I like your videos and titles! It nice to watch videos that don’t have preposterous titles and editing for a change.
My 9 year old daughter just left the room laughing 😂 at the comment “jump into my neighbours swimming pool naked “
That's as racey as it gets in my videos! 😂 🤷♂️ I try to keep them clean
@@mikemitchell2554 It is called the Mike effect; Tear off cloths and jump in pool. Next I am going to put a cab on a gator.
That’s no problem one liners are always the best 🤣🤣🤣
That rock pile is baby stuff compared to ours over here in Ontario
Up and back etc. BP going up . Set back , think of the MONEY you're making.
Mike one more question have you ever thought of the articulated Challengers from AGCO
"Make sure you do not hit a power pole down." The type of stuff a hard working farmer is getting excited about on a long day of drilling lots and lots of acres.
Mike, I really love your content. Always be yourself. You have a great attitude and your honest about equipment. Color doesn't matter. You use what is the best for your operation. Was wondering though, what do you do about soil compaction or do you do nothing? Love the vids. Have a good day.
The tire on your drill are.pretty worn out. Are they gonna make it till the end of the seeding?
Oh there's lots of tread left, prb still 70%
@@mikemitchell2554 is it because of the friction pulling the drill, the profile wears more on the outside of the main tires? I can imagine the drill flexing and putting more strain on the outside of the tires. Im a technician with a farmers hart btw 😅
*Lawn chair falls* "One day we'll rebuild" lol wtf..
Hey Mike, how did fiancée end up working on farm? Did you know her before or first time you met her was when she started working for your farm?
Hey Mike I wondered if you could get Bourgault to lend you the new 100 ft. 3420 Paralink Hoe Drill with 7950 air cart just for testing? Since you like testing tractors I figure that setup will definitely test your equipment and possibly your mind and soul.
I would love it! Why stop at the 950? Just throw the 1340 on and let's go ! 😂
Its funny you should say that you hate click baiting, i also hate it, and thats what put me off brians channel🤷♂️ i have nothing against brian he does a great job.
I also agree with your comments on the cummins, over here in new zealand we dont have alot of cummins engines but the ones i have used have been under powered and fuel hungry.
I see that deere have put out a new 13.6 liter engine thats good for 684hp, i would say that will be in the new 9rs
There is also a new 18 litre coming out thats good for 870hp nut not until 2022
Yeah, that 870hp has my interest!
I love the Johnny popper nickname over here in Ayrshire Scotland some friends call them John dungers, but I guess there the jealous ones with blue tractors 🙈😂
Well you Ken the old saying, Nothing runs like a deere!....
With a case up its rear!
That was a great video mike, really funny, the size of that field is just insane for us in the UK it’s almost unbelievable
Mike
I really enjoy your channel. And thanks for not getting caught up in all the social media junk. Keep it real. Be safe and be happy. Oh on a side note. I think your certifiably a notch off dead center. Been accused of that my self. Take care.
Haha thanks Tim!
Speed goat. Now that’s funny! Thanks for the entertainment.
I am not a farmer, I just dig all the absolute units you farm with. I try to make you at least 😤 with joking comments. You're able to just say what you are thinking and don't skirt around issues which is appreciated.
A Case 620 has a peak of 692hp where a 9620RX has 670hp with a peak torque similar to a Case 580. This may explain some of your power issues.
You should get a bumper sticker
Putting the sexy back in farming 😂😂
Mike, most of us viewers are sitting in the cab bored off our butt going crazy. Believe me, you "taking up our time" is a blessing lol
Best farming channel on UA-cam for me thanks for the videos Mike!
Try the Versatile. You won't regret it. Ours runs at 1650 RPM all day long.
Loved your last album Fear Inoculum. Seriously you look just like the lead singer of Tool! Great channel also
Can you send the fendt to AVE for a tool review? I know you said you dont watch youtube but you need to give him a look see.
Mike get your new glasses from Zenni I bet they are opened.
I love this stuff.
Thanks for letting me ride along
A podcast with you, Ashtyn, Brian & his wife could be an ICE BREAKER and would be HILARIOUS 🤣😂🤣😂
Mike you need to try a MTS tractor 65000 lbs cat powershift and C18 cat engine based on a versatile delta track. Happy seeding
I must admit i am really enjoying your video's.
Althoug i do have some questions:
1. what was it you did every day again? dint quite get it 🤪
2. are you goinging crazy in that cab or are there more people in there whit you? cus i heard some guy talking to you. and no it wasnt somebody on the radio i belief.
3. what do you put in your coffee cus dame you can talk fast. I want some of that stuf as well. ill be done whit my work in a day 🤪😂
On that note ill wish you a good weekend and a wonderfull continu of your day and planting season. looking forward to the next video.
Get Mike Less to line up a Versatile 610 Delta Track Demo for you
Actually they are probably Montana mosquitos, in Harem and Havre, in the valley is known as the mosquito capital of the world. I know I lived there.
Love ur videos Mike ur hilarious I'm ur neighbor over from Sand lake Colony but I also think u should try the delta track ur dealing with full line ag anyways we love ours .ur looking for pulling power there u go i run it myself it will solve ur problems
Great Video you sure have a great sense of humour keep up the great content 👏👏👌🏻👍😂
Thanks Chris!
That tractor has the same value as my house, and my house is a pretty good house.
Speed goat😂😂
Please to meet you Mike Mitchell I'm from markle Indiana 20 miles south of fort Wayne indiana I had a real good friend who past away 4 yrs ago and his name Mike k Mitchell
Hi from the U.K. could you tell me how many acres you farm and how big is your farm having recently found your Chanel I’m loving it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Mike, Q from a Danish farmer, worked in Des Moines and Down under....and all over the world lobbying for danish pork production and lots of others. Anyway; 1: how big is your operation in area, and diff crops in appx %? 2: are guys like yourself and family expanding the farm size or have increased farm size structure “leveled out”?
Mike
How many acres do you crop anually
Around 40k
14:02 LOL - it must be hell having to rebuild every time an earth quake knocks your lawn chair over.
Mike how about the new holland T9? Looks like its got good power and weight?!
I think Mike is marrying Ashtyn becuase he needed another employee and marriage was a small price to pay for a good employee! ;-) This is so funny, I'm glad I listened. The talking about 'up and back, side to side' about farming was hilarious. I had to check my video speed and surprised it was on normal =D Very funny about the animals, but informative yet again.
I have to agree with you on that corn star weirdly! And thank God you don't have Facebook or Instagram cause I hate those things and almost every youtuber has them and puts them in their videos, it's so annoying.
Great idea for a video and well executed! The low speed high capacity is certainly different than the trend in the mid West of high speed planting and tillage , but there are no rock piles like that in our neck of the woods for sure !! The equipment mfgs . have answered your request for bigger and higher tech and lower maintenance but I'm sure they find it kind of entertaining that the tractor mfgs. are struggling to keep pace but face it the demand for your size and quantity of machines is a fairly small group in the big picture ! Most Midwest farms don't really have a demand for that kind of power or investment ! I think an autonomous follow power box with a lead brain box tractor with big power would be interesting one driver but one smart machine and one slave !! First tractor is pretty conventional but second is cheaper and can be parked off season , railroad does it all the time , bigger train throw on another engine !!
Speed goat😂😂👍👍
Versatile doesn't put out enough horsepower, the best tractor only puts out about 550 60 horse.
610 Delta Track is 605 hp,650 peak hp.
Mate we’ve got both quadtracs and versatiles (we have also demoed 9rxs) versatile has the biggest engine and pulls a lot better than its competitors, if you want shear grunt you buy a versatile, would still rather have a qaudtrac though.
Not hating on John Deere ...but ... Got nothin against Cummins... however.... I own lots of Fendt ...but this ones pulling like shit ....Lmao but at least you wear a coat of many colors ! Keep it up awesome channel
Y is Mike mad funny funny Mike Ha😋like to know where your farm is u call it funny Farming 🤩👍
Rocky Paddocks look just like the Murray Mallee in South Australia but we have more sand
My grandparents farmed around Indian head and wolsely Saskatchewan like your channel live in Alberta
Ummm... so what do you do when you have to poop?
🤔... You combine over a hill...
Thanks for tutorial we in central Illinois do things quite a bit different. I find watching these videos eye opening, even though we both raise food about only thing that’s the same is its pulled by a tractor
Mike it seems you have only gone slightly crazy.
Up and back
Up and back
Up and back
Up and back
Up and back
Up and back
if you haven't already go to his videos from last year seeding, he explains why he goes crazy every spring
the JD horn is so pathetic in there tractors you cant even here it in the cab
If you ever planning on making your merch, one tshirt HAS TO HAVE "You guys get the idea" ,cos i feel like you are saying this multiple times in each video.
Yes! I agree!
The actual Quote is: Anyway, you guys get the idea!
But then there also need to be a T-Shirt with his face on it that says: ''Border Shenanigans!''
Mike needs a shirt that relates to when he was filling the plane with fungicide. 😂 " Don't you just want to run into that? I know I do! " 😂😂
Hey Mike I'm henry form Southern Alberta I im a farmer from down here I wanna come visit your farm 1day
I am in agreeance with why changing to Deere. We also have the support issues. Deere always stand by their products
12:00 And that's what 16 hrs a day in a cab sounds like🤣
How many acres can you do before filling up??
200ac on durum
Mike Mitchell thanks!
The best thing about you, and your videos is, that you dont show some made up shit maybe a lot of people would watch - you show 100% the real deal. Thats what i really love the most about you and your videos :)
btw, how many hectares are you farming? For a european/german guy, basically EVERYTHING looks so unrealistic big in CA :D
Haha thanks Michael! Around 40k
20 C, sunny, and a lovely ocean scented breeze here on the seacoast of New Hampshire... Hope your Saturday is equally as nice.. Thank you for the ride along Mike ❤️
Thanks Hope! It's beautiful here as well! 🙂
These antelopes are so sweet that I can eat them.
Have you ever tried a mule. They should pull quite good. I‘ve heard.🤷🏻♂️😂
That's on the list
what do u think he”s using in this video...?😂
FWIW Ashton (spelling?) has nothing to worry about, nice to see her working alongside you. really enjoying your style. I watch a few logging channels and you remind me of loggerwade, you just seem to have fun with the camera. and that makes it all interesting.
Haha close, Ashtyn.. And that's cool
Brilliant video, just a quick question, how do you decide what crop gets planted where?
Just a thought, what if the grain cart manufacturer had hydraulic driven carts so they pushed and helped out the tractor. Turning them from dead weight into another set of driving wheels.imagine the possibilities
Right?
That’s today’s thought for you. Just put my name with yours on the patent
Hayden Cowan it’s called ground speed PTO’s, used in some muckspreaders and trailers as well as forestry, hydraulic spools don’t offer enough flow for it to work hence the pto is used. In reality it’s very complicated and needs a lot of power to work plus you can’t use it with a fendt, I believe Valtra’s offer the only cvt that works with powered trailers. But it’s a nice thought!
You should watch millennial farmer too he's got awesome videos ( love your videos a lot)
I think the xerion and fendt are more ideal for custom workers in smaller regions. EG in front of a slurry tanker
Hello from Kansas in the middle of the USA
Hey Mike, would you like to try a Claas Xerion 5000?
I subbed about three weeks ago Mike, your videos are awesome and I never knew they made planters so big they could qualify for their congressman!!.
I watch you, Millennial Farmer, Cole the Cornstar, Welker Farms, 10th Generation Dairyman, Saskdutch Kid, Rice Farming TV, and Sonne Farms.
Wow.. That's alot of watching
yeah youtube notifactions are all messed up
Oh yeah if you let those 9620rxs lug down you will kill it
I mean you could try to run duals (not tires but tractors 🤣) to go up the hills.
Great video Mike Can’t wait to see what you have at the end of the field
We have a saying here in uk U don't have to b mad to work here but it dos help Think that fit right in at your place
Mn millennial farmer is a good channel Zachary is pretty funny and always entertaining and the welkers are a pretty good channel aswell
цікаво скільки ви сієте гектар за день при такій швидкості .
Thank you for replying back I am just use to sorghum soybeans corn wheat and some oats here in the us

Is it just me or should they have put the rock piles in the wet spots???
Would you ever try a new holland t9
Ryan Reynolds looks just like you hehe.
I get that all the time
I know you live in a beautiful country, because I live there in 1992 for one whole year in Manitoba working for dairy farm, close to st Claude, 60 minutes drive from Winnipeg.😃
Why don't you remove the rock piles or put a few into one?
The justin Timberlake reference killed me😂😂
