I wouldn't say that. Long jumping isn't usually important for defeating evil, sprinting isn't usually relevant either and when they are he usually has equipment to help him. Throwing he's extremely good at and he has fantastic stamina. Also Link's swordsmanship, archery, and raw strength are top notch and none of them are really represented in the Decathalon.
@Lysvsyl That’s not really always true. Ocarina of Time is literally the legendary hero spoken of in prophecy and was raised by a legendary guardian spirit among woodsprites and fairies. Skyward Sword Link was literally chosen by the Goddess herself to be the one. the funny thing is doing flips in long jump is prohibited because one guy did it once and was so much better than anyone else, when he without was shit, that either everyone would need to do it or they ban it. take that for what you want it to in this
Normally with something like this theyd let everyone do it, but if you tried to flip in long jump messing up means you land on your neck at top speed, so they had to ban it

As someone whos done the decathlon the sleep bonus is so real. You spend 10 hours on a track as you slowly complete 5 events a day and you're sore and chaffed by the end of the first day. You're only rest bit is a good nights sleep.
12:53 not sure if anyone mentioned it at the time, but Tak and the Power of JuJu features pole vaulting. Only thing you’re missing is turning around and letting go of the pole, but it’s close enough.
If I am not mistaken, Pole Vaulting used to be used as a technique to traverse swampy areas. That's why it kind of makes sense that villager uses a pole to get past short rivers. Edit: Spelling Errors Edit: I was wrong. It was originally used to traverse obstacles like walls and stuff during wartime, as the comment below says. I was messing it up with how farmers used them. Farmers used them to cross rivers and streams, so for them, it was more of a distance thing rather than a height thing, which is kind of neat

Coney would definitely win a few of the events and then come home to stream and tell everyone about how he cheated by wearing spring shoes or something.

Athletes in the Olympics: Link you run like a sloth your pole vaulting was horrible. Link: what is the point of running fast and pole vaulting, against Ganon and his minions, can you guys even double jump? Athletes: Um Well?
I feel because I am 3 inches taller, I might h be able to beat coney in a couple of Olympic events, however i think he would win in the running ones, even though he is older than me. Overall we both lose to the guy from Korea.
Every time I see a tears of the kingdom video it makes me want to try the game, but then reviews all say it’s worse than botw and I’m just so confused about what people enjoy in games anymore.
I love how Coney is reacting to something that’s very Britishcore with an American mindset. London 2012 Olympics for the Xbox 360 was a huge video game in the UK at the time for obvious reasons and the fact that this is basically a tribute video to that game but in Zelda with editing to match the old game went completely over Coneys head
thank you for watching coney :D
Very good movie 👍
Do I know you from somewhere?
Your “relaxing video games” video is super underrated.
I agree with Coney, nothing in the Olympic rules says double jumping is illegal.
However, it does say flipping is illegal, and Link's double jump is a flip. Alucard would have had this no problem, though.
