As a naturally curly/wavy gal, the irony that you said you don't like curly hair on yourself and then proceeded to curl your hair is not lost on me XD. As for your hair being able to hold the curl - try using products which contain protein (or adding silk protein drops to your hair mask), that helped me a lot. xx
@@CandyMakeupGirl for the best results, I would recommend sitting with the protein hair mask/conditioner on your hair for at least 30 min or so. Best of luck xx
You know what loses on me? People who think they know it all and school anyone else even on their opinions on THEIR hair. Curl with curl can have huge difference.
To be fair for almost £400 cheaper a bit of extra time is definitely worth it, I bought the same one from the TikTok shop and the only downside was the temperature it gets but I just have a glove that you normally use with a curler or a towel to grab the attachments! 1000000% worth it especially comparing to the price of a dyson!
I think the dupe side definitely isn't as smooth and sleek as the Dyson side, i think you can actually tell that Dyson spent more time perfecting their product, I suppose that's what you're paying for, the superior technology etc, it's just a Shame it's so expensive! 🤦🏻♀️
Dyson airwrap curling techniques only lasts if you do it on slightly damp hair. I see so many videos of people curling their hair with airwrap and starting with dry hair then wondering why it drops out. It needs to be dried into style to keep the curls. So glad you sprayed it with water first. :)
Aveda is LIFE! I wear my natural curls in the summer, and straight or manually curled during the winter. THANK YOU for specifically saying “no I don’t want to try curly whatever method”. People tell me that shit ALL the time and I’m not freaking interested. My natural curls look amazing to me without it and I WILL NOT give up aveda products because people claim they aren’t curly girl method friendly. I’ll pass. But I don’t understand why people that do it are so damn pushy about it. We good.

I am watching the video now for the first time cause I am contemplating the thought of the Airwrap, and I think that in a lot of ways the Airwrap is the best choice, but the problem when you also have to think about your oily hair (mine) I think that the Airwrap side looks great and styled and the other side doesn’t look freshly washed and clean it kinda looks heavy and like it isn’t clean of that makes sense! I really think that the Airwrap has technology behind the attachments as well and that plays a part too!! The Airwrap side looks so fantastic!!
I honestly don’t know what I’d do without my airwrap now. Got it for the barrels but I use the brushes more. Hope you enjoyed Iceland. Been wanting to go for years now so hopefully I’ll get there soon 💕

If you're just looking for like the round brush hair dryer only, I love the InfinitiPro/The Knot Dr! (By Conair) My mom wanted one that wasn't too crazy expensive and we went with that one for her and she loves it! I tried it once and had to get one for myself too. For reference, I have pretty thick wavy/curly hair naturally that takes forever to dry normally but I can be ready to go/barely damp with a blowout in like 15-20 mins (from soaking wet hair).
you can definitely see the difference at the end, the Dyson one looks so smooth and soft whereas the dupe one looks a lil freezier but having in mind that the dupe one is £350 more aprox (can't remember the exact price akdjsk) it does make sense that is not the same anyhow, I hope you are having a very nice week, always love your content; lots of love from Uruguay

Have you tried a humidity shield on your hair? It was a game changer for curling my hair! Some hairsprays, like Sebastian Re-Shaper have a humidity shield in them, but you can get it as a separate spray as well.
Your natural waves are gorgeous!! But I get that getting curls back takes forever and is such a process. For that price I feel like the dyson shouldn’t break/fall off on you! (The round brush).

I find that using anti-humidity products really make the airwrap styles last. I normally use the colorwow dream coat every 2-3 washes, which is like a mini gloss that humidity proofs. Following up with my normal heat protection etc. And finish the style with Fudge Aqua Shine Serum which again has humidity proofing properties. There are loads of similar products like that, but seriously I think humidity blockers are key I can get days out of my style that way

So I have the same hair (maybe a bit thicker) and I do exactly the same 😅 I used to iron my hair and curl them, now I use the Revlon brush, but something I have noticed is if you curl the hair without really straightening them before, the curls last much better. I think that's the case on the fake side, it was not as dry and straighten, so curls are much more curlier :D

Nothing compares to the Airwrap. It is a financial effort for most of us but ,for me,it’s worth the money. I don’t see the point of getting one if you dont care about the hair damage and if you know how to use all the other styling tools ( I never managed to use a curler properly). I’ve had my Dyson for 6 months and it’s a game changer. Never going back 😬

I use mine every time I get out the shower and my curls fully hold for like 3-4 days and my hair is down to my waist and is thick and heavy. The texture of your hair is a big factor on how it turns out

i would recommend using a mousse on damp hair before styling it ! It works really well at holding the curls, even better than hairspray

To combat frizz, I recommend colour wow dream coat. Works so well with the air wrap and lasts a few washes. Well worth the investment!

Sometimes having a thin hair that air dries in an hour is a blessing, and getting a perm with bigger curls really is the best decision I've ever made.

My curls used to not last long with the dyson as well. Now I put in mousse for curls and blow dry spray and it really lasts a lot longer.
