Is this the praxis that would best correlate to the texes 391 (ec-6)? If not can you guide me to which one might be closer?
I know the content wouldn’t align exactly. But I love the way you present your material and would really like to utilize some of your guides!
These 2 exams are close to your exam. This will definitely help. However, your exam has a fine arts, health, and physical education section. These two elementary ed exams do not. Aloha, I can take either the 5001 or 5006, would you recommend one over the other? I'm leaning towards the 5006, as it seems to have less questions, but I'm wondering if the 5006 is more difficult? Appreciate your content so much! Mahalo!
Hi! They are similar in content, but the biggest difference is the 5006 has a lot of teaching scenarios for the math. The math is easier than the 5001 math in terms of process, but the scenarios can be tough. I would look over the specs of each by googling the test names and the words study companion. That will bring you to the ETS document that outlines everything on the exams. Hope that helps! Don’t forget to check out my Test Strategy playlist. That will help you 😊
Are you doing a praxis 5017 video soon? Or is the 7811 similar?
The 7811 is very similar. I hope to have 5017 eventually, but the 7811 is a very similar test. The specs are almost the same.
What’s the difference between 5001 and 5006? I have both coming up and they look almost the same
Great question. Are you sure you have to take both? That is super annoying because one will do.
The 5001 and 5006 Reading and Language arts sections are pretty much the same.
The math is a little different. The 5001 math, which is the 5003 subtest, is just straight math without any teaching scenarios. The 5006 math, which is the 5008 subtest, is more teaching scenarios. So you have to know the math and apply it to students' processes.

The ELA and Reading, math, social studies, and science are all different subtests - 5002, 5003, 5004, 5005

The Reading and Language arts and social studies are one subtest - 5007
The math and science are one subtest--the 5008.
The science and social science of the 5006 will have some teaching scenario questions as well. The best way to distinguish between the two tests is to look over the specs of the two exams and compare them. Just google "Praxis 5006 Study Companion" and "Praxis 500 Study Companion" and they will come up.

whats the difference between 7000 and the 5000 versions?! I have to retake math but i’m debating which one to retake. Also tips on studying for science i take 7814?
The main differences between the Praxis 7000 and 5000 series exams lie in their specific focus and structure. Also, to prepare for the Praxis 7814 exam, familiarize yourself with the test format and subjects (life, physical, and earth/space sciences), review content areas using study guides, take practice tests, join study groups, use online resources, and stay organized with a study schedule to improve your understanding and performance. Do you know the difference between 5001 and 7811? I’m trying to figure out which one to take
They are very similar exams. However, the 7811 has a lot more teaching scenario questions. For example, the math on the 7813 requires you to do math, but it also requires you to identify student mistakes and prescribe interventions. The 5003 math is just straight math. The 5002 and 7812 are pretty much the same exam. We have programs for both. We have free webinars and online courses as well as study guides.
