@@Calikov762 I don’t know about that because General Motors has been going downhill and they still don’t have solid axles in their trucks and now they’re putting four-cylinder engines in their full-size trucks!
Pretty snazzy. It's too bad you only got to Eagle Lakes, those are just easy and moderate trails. I'd be impressed if you went the whole way. Also you have a wonderful Australian shepherd. I'm looking at doing the same swap but not sure if the D44 is up to it. I'd like to do the whole trail.
I’m not sure how impressive crushed rocker panels and doors are… I don’t have rock sliders, and I would probably need a locker and 40+ inch tires to make it over the winch hills. If you use a Dana 44 high pinion off of an F250 you will have the strongest Dana 44 but it still has small shafts and ring gear, I’d trust it on 35’s all day.
This is the way the trucks should’ve always been built, good thing Ford didn’t give up on the solid front axle!
Yup! But ford gave up pushrods… luckily GM never gave up hahaha
@@Calikov762 Now they’ve gone back to them!

I love this truck. Almost looks stock, not some crazy high lift

Great video. Did you ever diagnose that brake noise? That was strange
No I never heard it again! Maybe the drum brakes were dirty or it was something else. Weird noises happen when you twist your frame hahah
Hi what Ford axle is in the truck
I’m pretty sure he’s is a 06 Dana 60, I did the same thing in my 1500 and went with a Dana 70 king pin. Great setup highly recommended it!
It’s a 36.5” spring pad width kingpin out of 80’s to early 90s ford one ton axle. It’s not a 06 axle they have Radius arms and ball joints.
