    Your video just popped up on my feed I found it very entertaining! I was late to take my motorcycle test too so I can relate but I can honestly say it was one of the best things I've ever done.. Bigger bikes are so much easier to ride than 125's. Better brakes, acceleration to get you out of trouble, more stable on bad roads and you don't get bullied by other traffic whereas you do on a 125. You've got yourself a new subscriber and I can't wait to see your future adventures!

    I know you've ordered your new 1st big bike, but wait till you ride your first big big (900-1300cc)... even if it's just a test ride or borrowing a mates. They're addictive for a reason.
    After that a bike trip through southeast asia or south america is the bucket list cherry on top.
    Stay safe and keep rubber side down

    Ahh a fond Farewell to a lovely little bike, I didn’t want to part with mine…
    Proper cliff hanger though about the new bike and what you have chosen
    Really like the 360 and drone footage too

    Loved this. I used to live in N Yorks, so I know that area somewhat. You didn’t say (as far as I heard it) but the cove used to be a waterfall, which is how it got its shape -by the water cutting back into the limestone. The river now goes into the limestone and runs behind the cove to reappear at the bottom. Great to see the Dales again, thank you. Les

    Well Mr Midlife crisis, I'm an Aussie, living in Melbourne. I did a 2 year stint in North Yorkshire, (working holiday) - lived/worked in Scarborough. Am now 77 yo and 10 wks ago I bought same motorcycle. CB125F - So my midlife Crisis is more severe.
    May I ask, where abouts in Yorkshire did you film this ? I have fond memories of my time in Yorkshire. 😊😊 I am a new subscriber to yr channel. ❤

    Just got back from a 78 mile ride on mine, did the lanes up to masham and the road over to lofthouse then back through pateley/bewerly and otley. nice to get semi decent weather for a ride !!. let us know when u get the new bike, and i'd be interested in what you get money wise for a trade in or private sale on the 125, as prices still seem really buoyant. btw i always love to see familiar roads on vids. I wanted to do a separate video about my new bike choice, but too much was happening and I'm still learning to edit videos so it takes me ages. The big reveal is in my last video "Homeless". And you're right, I stuck with Honda.

    Well done mate for taking to the whole bike thing as much as you have👍🏻 I’ve been riding for nearly 40 years now and still enjoy throwing a leg over every day. Northerner my self as well( Bolton) so know all the great roads and sights that you put up. Keep it up. P. S Limestone pavement like the one above Malham, they’re called clints and grikes.been there a couple of times. Spectacular place.

    Did you sell the bike used, or trade in? Did you loose much?

    • @projectmidlifecrisis
      @projectmidlifecrisis  Рік тому +1

      Hi, trade in is terrible because they need to profit on it. Best to sell it privately. However, I have actually decided to keep it 😁

    Please tell me you got the new 750 Hornet, it's been getting GREAT reviews everywhere. I bet you're feeling like you have totally missed out taking this long to get into bikes, there's nothing like motorcycling. Take it steady on the new steed, whatever she is.

      @@projectmidlifecrisis first bike Royal Enfield 700cc Constellation. past test first time I was 16 at the time 19 motor bikes later, now packing it in as the roads down here in the south are so crowded lots say they can drive most are a nightmare. and at 85 I will retire from biking. only the other day a older lady shot out from a side road, she was of small stature looking through the steering wheel looked like the steering wheel had a wig on. many are on phones, chomping food steering with there knees. and also if my 1300cc fell over in a layby would be a job to pick it up. so bless all you bikers stay safe never ever take your eyes off the road. Briddy UK.

      19 bikes later. That's just amazing. I'm so jealous.
      Yes, I don't like riding in the city at all. It feels like I'm risking my health/life and no fun. I'll be sticking to the quiet roads/tracks as much as possible.

    I used to cycle from Preston over Malham Rakes then onto Arncliffe, Halton Gill and then Langcliffe and back. The scenery round there is brilliant, just perfect for cycling and motorbiking. I can't cycle at the moment due to illness so I bought a scooter to go to work on. I now have the bug and I'm thinking of swapping the scoot for a CB125F. I just need a lesson or two on a geared bike and then I'll be off.

    • @projectmidlifecrisis

    • @Bob-ts2tu
      @Bob-ts2tu Рік тому +1

      i did the Arncliffe-Malham road last week as a change from doing arncliffe-halton gill-settle, both are 2 of my fav routes. btw i've got a cb125f, i cant recommend them enough if you just want to take in the scenery, like i also used to do when i pedalled it back in the day. if you are a tad worried about getting used to the gears on a motorbike, what i would suggest is to do your CBT on an automatic, get the certificate, and then spend an hour or two in a car park practicing the gear changing, you will pick it up in no time. GL

    • @Jabular1
      @Jabular1 Рік тому +2

      @@Bob-ts2tu I wish I'd have gone for the geared bike on my CBT looking back but I just needed easy transport for work. I asked at the Training Centre when I did my CBT if they did lessons from auto to geared and they said yes. They probably let you mess around in the test centre for a bit then take you out on the road, just got to find out how much it costs.

    • @Bob-ts2tu
      @Bob-ts2tu Рік тому +3

      @@Jabular1 i know where you are coming from, but I'd honestly not pay £20-£30ph for geared bike lessons, watch some you tube vids and take a geared bike out early one morning when there's nothing on the road and just go for it, you will be amazed how quick you get the hang of it, as the fact of the matter is it's just practice. The first time i rode my bike on the road i set off at 5.30am sat morning when it was quiet, heading to a supermarket car park, but as i got there id already changed gear many times without too much issue, wasn't exactly limping it, so rode straight past and did about 60 miles on some quiet lanes. while i was still no way perfect, (and still aint) i was reasonably confident when i got home, and now it's like changing gears in the car, you dont think about it. the honda has a light clutch & a pretty positive gearbox, it's about as easy as it's going to get. one thing i did have initial trouble with was hill starts, but again it's just practice, the important thing is road sense.
