Industrial Rock, Rock with electronic elements, however you choose to describe it, there’s no question that the songs here always contain a strong sense of melody, as rousing as they are deep.

What I liked about Rammstein is that they do not force themselves to create a new album. They take a break and do whatever they like. They even collaborate and support each others' solo project, and after their break, their new materials were as crazy as before. Having a break really revitalize people.

I think this was from the first Emigrate album sessions. Even shots of Richard with black hair date back to 2007. It's why he looks 15 years younger lol.
This guy deserves so many more views. Richard Kruspe is a genius. There's something about the mysteriousness of his characters that really resonate with me. Such good music! 🤘
Define 'genius' as a guitar player.. composer, etc. EVH was a true genius. Kruspe is a good guitarist, writer & composer; not a 'genius'. That title needs to be earned not just thrown out there to those we like. Just an opinion.
@@JohnMartini-RichardDoyen I understand your point. However, when entering the world of music its purely subjective and we could talk all day about who's a genius and who's not. Being a genius doesn't just mean having a high IQ. It also means someone who can be artistically creative/powerful. On that basis I dont think everyone would agree who's creative and who's not. But to me Richard is extremely creative, not only with his own music but what he writes for Rammstein as well 🤘
@@CamAsh I'm with you on this. There's so much more to music than just writing and performing the music, because if that were the case, everyone out there who has ever touched an instrument would be just as successful. But Kruspe, went from self taught to a jazz studies to relearning it all after school to being in multiple bands, then convincing everyone to form and join Rammstein, and even on the side running Emigrate just for the sheer need to create music. He is commercially successful and creating music in a way that is not just what the big corporations in the US want, but he is creating in a way to express and fulfill his needs as well, in addition to being part of a band he created that has not had a personnel change in almost 30 years now. Any one of those things would be a challenge, let alone all of them together.

Absolutely love him! He makes music that he wants to make and doesn’t cater to the current trend just to sell a couple of albums. He stays true to his music and his style!

@@peeteri95 That is what I can appreciate about the music of Richard, he disclosed his own upbringing in an interview years ago, and yes had some dark times, but has continually pushed on. @@AlexandrZaycev2000 песня была написана ещё во времена первого альбома, тогда же были и сняты кадры для предполагаемого клипа. Но песня 15 лет назад так и не увидела свет, как и клип. Уже осовременив, песня с клипом были выпущены в последнем альбоме, где мы видимо молодого Ричарда (из старых снятых фрагментов) и пожилого (с гримом старика)

What a striking representation of depression, paranoia, dread and anxiety.
Older Richard in the wig is some kind of demonic judge, I think... It's like he's always falling short of his own expectations. Essentially, he's punishing himself.
I like the more subtle things in the video, too, like the all black Rubik's cube - for me, it represents life and how hard it is to navigate and get right when you're just consumed by misery. No matter which way you turn, everything is swallowed by the darkness, despite seeking something else. But of course, in the blackness you think you've solved life's puzzle, that it all lines up, because depression makes you believe you see everything so clearly - everything is bleak - and that it's those who still see colours who are deluding themselves.

Kruspe and Lindemann are the driving creative forces behind Rammstein's catalogue and I hope both of them will still continue to make music after the sad day Rammstein eventually disband.
I've always had the idea that Flake is also more into the composing than one might believe. Just an idea, though...

I remember an interview with Rammstein back in the day where Kruspe said he’d like to venture out and do his own thing and lo and behold he has for a decade now and it’s excellent.

I really like the general take. It's so full of energy like that dreading feeling that comes with the lyrics. It kinda captures this moment when you just lie there kicking your legs in a last ditch effort bc you are indeed still alive fighting your demons. Great work Richard. Funny I stumbled on this comment. I was on the floor next to my girlfriend, literally kicking my feet near death, in a last ditch effort to overcome the oppression, and bondage I was enduring from demonic attack, not knowing if I was going to wake u, so I started praying for deliverance from all attachment,and demonic bondage, and then I started to doze off, and then felt a powerful cleansing in the middle of my sleep, and that's when I knew everything was gonna be more than ok. Have to give credit where credit is due. Richard is very much an accomplished guitar player and has proven he is quite a singer as well. I love Rammstein don’t get me wrong, but there is something special about emigrate that proves that Richard can branch out on his own to make straight ahead full on beautiful rock music. This Has to be one of the absolute catchiest songs he has written but it also has an in your face kind of feel to it, especially during the pre-chorus and chorus itself. Such an underrated band that deserves to be as popular as the counterpart he comes from.
Seeing Richard young again makes me feel weird but in a good way, a lot of memories come to my mind.
How I wish time never passed...
