3 yrs late but wow, I love these. I love the green/ gold the band the green/gold ring and the blue speckled fading into lavender with the hint of clear gorgeous 😊❤
These turned out so similar which is good thing in my opinion. They look like a real set. Pushing that to it out to the edges did help. Good job!
I have enjoyed watching all the different attempts. Thank you for sharing!
I think both are gorgeous but I think I like the one with more gold around it better. I love your tenacity. I love that you do not go e up till you reach your goal. Keep doing what you are doing. 😊💕🤗♥ 🇺🇸
They are absolutely gorgeous! So glad you tried again💙🦚💜🦚💚🦚
So beautiful!! They're gorgeous! Love them! Prefer one over the other? No! Love them all - love the colors, love the effects! And, not tired of the peacock colors, either! If you did it again, exactly as you did here, they would turn out differently! Resin is going to so what it wants! Thank you, Julie, so much, for sharing with us! Take care and stay safe!
Omgoodness yes this is gorgeous. Julie I like all but this one is a hit!!!! Trying tomorrow
You should choose yourself a full colour scheme, then for the 2nd coaster exclude the white. Then 3rd, keep white but exclude clear. Etc etc. so you can see what happens without certain layers. That would be great to see!
Great idea x
Yes i like this batch you have made. Love your work.
They look fabulous,it was 4C here this morning my heater went on at 6am got up at 8.30Am room just right for getting dressed man I hate winter.
I like all of them. I love the colors.
White tends to be a blender for artists. Outside of fabric or yarn, you don't really notice the white, as it blends the colors together.
Pretty! I like the gold and copper ones!
I like them and they look more of a set ,I would use both sides to
Those are my most favorite! Love them
They’re all beautiful.
i prefer the more blended look, but they are all lovely x
So beautiful, I love them. Other colours would be great
These would look so good in your geo coasters 😍
I don't think anyone is getting sick of watching you do this. I would like to see you play around with this technique using interference pigments.
Great idea! Black and interference alternated!
Very pretty colors and design ♥️
I'm pretty new to watching your videos but I have very much enjoyed watching your repeated dragon scale pours... I've watched them disappoint you as you comment on your wishes for better understanding and more of the colors and less of the gold showing through. You keep questioning, 'where is my color (blue for instance) going'.
This simple answer is a color mixing scale... On the scale yellow/gold and blue/purple basically create your green. That is where all of your color is going. By mixing the gold and purple or gold and blue you're going to have the green effect because the colors are mixing with each other even though they're not being blended together. Every time you pour in another color it forces the colors to entwine and then at the end after your last transparent color, because you're [pushing] with clear it doesn't have to fight to win that space because it's basically available space for the last color you pour, that's why you get that pop, the little bit of washed out but otherwise intact color in the middle.
Happy Pouring, Ms. Lady!!
I am absolutely NOT bored with the dragon scale look! It's wonderful.
Very nice! I like these the best😍 Good job Julie 😃
I love them! There so much better
I really like your creative art
I love these the best, then the copper ones. I feel the white is useful in changing some of the colors, and the same with the gold, I don't feel you lose it I think it blends in to give you better color. I think the white dilutes the color in the middle but I understand why you use it, I don't know if you can do without the clear. Love you and love your videos!
Julie, these are perfect. I love peacock colors so I'll never get tired of seeing you using them. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I've got to get some coaster molds. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the inspiration and for everything else you do.
Wowzers, I've just binge watched your Dragon Scale Coasters journey. I love all of them, but this green/gold/blue is lush. Thank you so much for explaining it in detail. I've had a bugger of a time trying to get the effect, not realising that heavier mica powder and lighter liquid pigment would create the magic. I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow
These are so pretty!
I DID IT! It took 6 tries and finally when I said it was my last try it clicked. Everything I did wrong made sense. My resin was too liquid. Doing the test and adding much more alcohol did it. This was the most expensive resin coaster I ever plan on owning!
Reds sounds great
Beautiful art 👍
love them all
Can't wait for the reds!
Those are awesome!
Love these the best
Yes, I think you should try them W/O the white. Sometimes less is more.
Beautiful 😍
I have enjoyed seeing what happens with different ways of doing it. So can’t choose a favorite as love them all.
I like the green that shows up more in this attempt. At least you have a huge set of coasters that are all in the same color family and of similar design.
Beautiful!! To me it's so amazing how different the sides look. I'm so glad that you love them also.
These are amazing x
i love these hun xx
I love these colors together. Can't wait to see what other color combinations you come up with. 😊❤
I love them.. the purple is getting absorbed by the blue. Perhaps u may mix a small amount of green with the purple to get a stronger base.
But he purple will be there!they are looking gorgeous! IM with you until it works!
Gorgeous! I like this final attempt best.
So glad you've continued with these. Fascinating! It seems to me that the metallics have a lot to do with the crackle look. Very nice! Maybe try red, black and gold?
Really like these and the gradual change of color. Very pretty!
amazing!
Purple is blue based so will be over run by the blue. I think you should do purple and Finish with the blue middle but mainly purple throughout
Very nice
I think you should keep going. After the clear put in a little purple
They’re gorgeous. I love them!
Pretty
Just ordered a set of 4 of your Druzy moulds and can’t wait for them to arrive.
Thank you for your videos.
Beautiful as always .How about greens to lime with silver,ot reds to orange ,but that’s more with a gold..I am just ahoy to watch 🥰
These are the best you’ve done. Love them very much.
Breathtaking! I like the copper ones best, then this last batch!
These are my favorite 💕
I like these best yet I had just saw the 15 run and suggested purple michah clearly the type of color add-in used, is big effect factor on the final result
Gorgeous : );
Love ❤️
I love the symmetrical circles around the coasters. If it would have stayed gold it would have matched peacock, but it's still gorgeous the color it became. Sorry you didn't get the ideal peacock in the end, but I really hope one day you will! I look forward to other color possibilities you'll do! 🥰❤️
Love them Julie, just wish we knew where the colors disappeared to!! lol
I have a couple of questions Ma'am. What can be used in place of transparent tints? Can alcohol inks be used instead and still get the crackle effect? What chemical reaction between which type inks or colors creates the crackle effect? Also, Can you pour cabochons and still get that crackle effect? Your coasters came out absolutely beautiful! That's what I'm looking for.
these are beautiful. I am on my 4th attempt just to try and get the dragon scales & veining. Not sure what I am doing wrong although it does seem I am getting closer with each coaster LOL
Have you tried not putting clear in the center? It seems to push your purple out of the way and you loose it.
Gorgeous again! I would prefer not to have the cloudy area at the centre, I’m thinking it’s probably because of the clear. Any suggestions how to achieve this mosaic look without a clear centre?
agree! Amazing work, without the clear zone...better.
Wouldn’t adding the clear dilute the purple? What if you didn’t add clear at the end?
North Qld? Though I am now Victorian, my childhood was in Cairns. 4 degrees up that way is just like well into the minus numbers down here....lol.
What would happen if you eliminate the clear?
Mrs. Julie I do love these. You sound a little disappointed. I love the colors totally gorgeous.
What if you made your own purple with magenta and blue or something .
Beautiful even without much purple 💜 'm still not getting the crackle effect. I just got a low viscosity resin and ordered some opaque pigments. Do you think the key to this effect has to do with the opaque pigments?
How much time does the resin give you to work from the moment you mix it?
Each brand is different
Do I wait after mixing the resin before adding the pigment?
Really love those. Tried it by myself many times but never got this effect on the bottom of the coasters and I don't understand why. I always get white or golden glimmer particles all over the coasters which covers everything. Maybe someone can help me?
How come I don’t get notifications when your doing a video?
Still would like to see one done in silver instead of gold. I like this set better.
The white i think killed off the purple in the center
Maybe the last white took it away
I agree.....enough with the coasters!!!
Love what you do...but enough with these coasters.
