Demon Slayer reference. I love Yellowstone. I was sad I didn't go this year, but I plan on going next year. I try to go in the July. Yes I brave the crowd but it is what it is.
My niece actually got me into Demon Slayer, such a great Anime! I’m sure it’s fun in the summer, fall happens to work best for our schedule. Hope you get to go next summer!
Have a great time! you can rent bear spray at the Yurt near old-faithful inn, but I own some and had brought a can (bought mine from Costco a while back for trail runs/hiking trips).

Yellowstone is mainly in Wyoming but we stayed in Idaho and then spent some of day two at the north entrance which is in Montana!
