Fully agree. A lot of levers that vermeer and Ditch witch both consolidate to a toggle controls.

Had anyone ever heard of Vermeer or Ditch Witch?? They’re light years ahead of these guys! Watch their videos and take a couple pointers man. Chain drive? For real? I only watched the whole video because it was amusing.

I guess the purpose of this machine is to run a pipe Under something that is too big or expensive
to move or go around, otherwise a couple of guys with a shovel would do just fine.....
Yeah say you have a highway or even a small river or creek you can just go under it saving time and money without having to shut down anything! It's genius!

Why is the reamer an eggbeater instead of a bell? I can tell you that's not a good thing in rocky soils. Sometimes a sleeve between the reamer and pull head are needed.

Wire/cablng conduit or natural gas pipe installation where you don't want to trench it in. Ie under a roadway
@@TruckDrivingFool cabling ... things with E on the end ... lose the E with the ING ending... driving... talking racing... yes pull the pipe thru on back reaming . run big pipe so later if they want to run something else under the road the pipe is already there so run other cables... plumbing... cable in cable pipe... plumbing in plumbing pipe so dont get the cables hurt by HD pipe being slid alongside the cables

It is called Directional Underground Boring. For putting services in areas where it's not practical to dig up a concrete slab... hiway..rail line. Somehow they control the drilling direction from operator seat.

How they get the pipe to go up
Look at the angled "shovel" tip of the drill. If the drill is spinning when it's pushed forward, it goes straight. If they stop it at a certain angle and push the drill forward, it will go in that direction.

Горизонтальное бурение, чтоб прокладывать коммуникации под землёй, не нарушая поверхность))))
У нас в городе таким способом убрали провода светофоров, раньше воздушка была а сейчас под землёй и дороги не портили

Прокол под дорогой для прокладки трубы или кабеля без разрушения окрытия
Мне водопровод проводили такой машиной, от основного водовода по улице бурили и всем желающим подводили по частным домам, бур контролировался каким то чемоданчиком, подвели точно куда показал пальцем.

Судя по ощущениям мне такой же хреновиной гастероскопию делали в поликлинике( в желудок провод с камерой сували, кто делал тот знает эти ощущения)
Вот интересно он всякий грунт берет или только мягкий песчаный и глиненые грунты берет

@@haynillesen You walk above ground on top of it with locater and it shows depth of bore and location in distance from machine . +/- 3/10's generally . From a pre determined survey of depth and distance it will give a mean for fail/pass completion . Unless it gets lost in a rock face 🤣 , which does occur . So yes , not physically though , you can 'see' the cutter head . Just not in hole camera vision as some high dollar rigs can .
А как при бурении сначала в грунт зашёл под углом, и через несколько метров вышел на поверхность? По идее он же может только углубляться... 🤔
Бур идёт на нужной глубине , спец прибором буром можно управлять : глубже - выше , вправо - влево.
Пластина на конце наклонная. Когда толкают без вращения - уводит конец в нужную сторону. В какую - определяют по передатчику (видно в начале бурения, как именно его вкладывают в черный сегмент )
У меня сосед пьяный скважину бурил под таким углом
