    I love my Moto guzzi’s but even I’d be the first to tell everyone MV Agustas are by far the sexiest and incredible looking motorcycles out there. The style and designs are seriously drop dead amazing

      They really are works of art. I wish the support from the manufacturer was better. Hopefully KTM makes a bit of difference there.

      @@alex_theviking I’ve heard something about KTM and MV, is it a recent occurrence?

      KTM acquired a sizeable chunk of MV back in October of 2022 I believe. And more recently acquired even more. So they have majority stake in MV now

      Thanks! It's been wild. I had it back for about a month, took it back to the shop for the 600 mile oil change and a couple odds and ends. Turns out the quick shifter wouldn't work due to the Rivale transmission rotating the opposite direction as the F3. So they had to order a Rivale QS for it... which is still not it... so it's still in the shop. Wanna buy it? lol

    I feel your pain. I purchased a 2018 F3 800 in April this year. I rode the bike home on the Saturday that I bought it and parked it in my garage. Took the bike to fill up with gas on Monday. A friend with a Yamaha R6 called and wanted to go out for a ride that Monday afternoon. About 20 minutes into the ride, I lost power, and it started smoking. Turns out the valves broke, and engine destroyed. Talked to MV to see about a replacement as there were prior reported issues and warranty claims, however they wanted to charge me $10,000 for a new engine. A shop that has worked with MV agreed to fix the bike at a better rate, however I am still without it to this day. Beautiful bike but having a bit of buyer's remorse. Hopefully that will change when I get it back.

      Sheesh man, that's insane. My local MV shop said a new engine from the factory wasn't even an option. So it was either repair for 12k or swap in a Brutale or Rivale engine. I opted for the less expensive option since I was already over invested. There is a guy on the forum trying to collect information for a class action. Lmk if you've seen his post. If not I'll try and dig it up and link it for you.

      @@alex_theviking I haven't seen his post. If you do get a chance, let me know. When I first inquired about the warranty claim, the feedback that I received was that my VIN was not in the production batch for the known issue and the bike was up to date on all issued service bulletins. Obviously, there was something going on more than what has been reported.

    After all that, it's primed for what the bike was designed for: a Trackday! Don't worry she'll be fine, go out and have a blast with it. The F3 on track will blow your mind.

    i bought a mv dragster rr scs euro 5 for 2 years, done 3000 kms, about 2 weeks ago it suddenly showed up "gas position" issue, cant get any power, then later the "phase error" came up, no time to send it the dealership yet. its a beauty from the look, then born sick to live as a nightmare! ...just to share my sad story.
    but, i would like to convince you to keep this special F3 if you satisfy with the rivale engine, this could be a better situation, as i know many F3 got engine problem, in the other hand the rivale engine seemed great in history, of course less hi rpm power.
    i maybe use your idea of swaping engine in case my dragster got engine problem in the future.

    Isn't it common knowledge that the silver motor mv agustas are bombs

    • @alex_theviking
      @alex_theviking  Рік тому

      I wouldn't say common knowledge. I did a massive amount of digging after I figured out what was wrong and sort of uncovered it. Most of the info seems to point to the F3 motors being the primary culprits with the rivale and brutale varieties being safe(r). MV is also still completely unwilling to admit it's a thing.
