The comic book dress was iconic. I wanted it so bad. Harper’s more elaborate outfits were insane and camp but I love them. Edit: I remember really liking the marker and rubber duck dress.
I still remembered the comic book dress and the rubber ducky/car/sharpie dress even before looking up the outfits and refreshing my memory - they are just THAT iconic ahha

Harper was a fashion icon ahead of her time. And I absolutely love this little quirky subversion of "fashionista best friend".
Usually she is that main character's best friend who are extremely outgoing and fashion nuts, wear very extravagant and feminine clothings and are depicted as that friend who always give passive agressive comments on other people's outfits and fashion advices for the main character (and that's basically their main punchline).
Harper on other hand, she in fact is really into fashion, but extra subversive fashion, completely unusual stuff instead that she herself crafted. And the best part, she loved making them, she really enjoyed crafting them and making them as unusual, conceptual and funny as she could, and she was proud of her creations.
I absolutely adore her.

The producers definitely gave Harper's bad fitting clothes, in order for her not to outshine Alex ....cause Harper looks are creative and everything else

That handfoot was so distracting in that one picture lol. Alex constantly looks like she brought one cute article of clothing and had to fix it to get past dress code. Which is realistic lol.

Honestly the show was good, my mom would watch it with me when I was a kid. I liked the character growth of the siblings, the plots were interesting as well as the world of magic the writers developed. Honestly the best part were when they fell in love and it seemed really honest as a kid, the fashion was meh in that Disney Channel way but as a kid you obsess about it, but in retrospect Harper is king.

Waverly was my favorite Disney show, i laughed so so much, had so great memories of watching at home, Alex is still this day my personality lkkkkk and i remembered loving almost all her outfits and Harper need more recognition of good of a character she was and how iconic her outfits were.

Ugh, I'm going to be real, I honestly still love the outfit at 16:17, although it does SCREAM 2010. Not really the patterns so much, but the cut and style of each piece together. I definitely wore a few outfits in that sort of style in the early 2010s, they were some of the outfits I remember feeling my most confident in. It was also perfect for my scene/emo self at the time lmao.

Can we talk about the accessories. I loved most of Alex’s outfits because of her accessories. All those rings and necklaces and the scarves. Those are what made the outfits pop even more for me imo
Selena was also my favorite Disney girl. She is definitely the best actor of all the Disney kids, with just such effortless charisma and wit! I hope she does more acting in the future because she is so good at it.
I love harpers outfits! People with good personal style always take risks and have plenty of misses. Better to shoot for the moon and land among the stars when you miss than to dress like all the other Disney girls. I loved the costume designers for her whole wardrobe. I used to dress pretty much as ridiculous as her as a kid and I always related to her
I remember vividly the show was raffling Alex's outfits and my country could win the leather jacket with blue and yellow frills top from season 3 where she fights with Harper and kicks the door and I WANTED THAT (tbh one of the most normal outfits whoever got it was lucky)

One of the cool things I noticed as i binged WWP is the repeat of some pieces for Alex. There is a Green pendang necklace that she wears the most. I love when shows do this because it makes it real. People wear the same outfits and shirts over and over so to see it done on shows and like they actually have a wardrobe and not a stylist backstage giving them new outfits every "show" day.

Mediocrity is more disappointing than someone who tried and potentially failed. Personally, I was always more interested in what Harper was wearing, not because I'm uninterested in what Alex was wearing but because the pop art aesthetic was always interesting to look at. 🙂🤷🏼♀️

Oh my God, if something screams 2000s Disney is a skirt on a Jean HAHA or a guy using a random hat, one more time layers over layers, I will never forget when I tried to copy the style with my own clothes and got stuck HAHA my mom was yelling and laughing so hard, she gotta keep an eye out for selener
Looking back these outfits look...interesting xD But I remember that I would copy a lot of Alex' looks as a teen: I wore layers, especially with wests and cardigans, I wore a ton of necklaces all at once, the long dress-like shirts, the arm warmers - it was everything to me. But I never looked as good as Selena for sure haha.

I loved some of Alex's 3rd and 4th season outfits. I could only think to describe it as boho chic. I loved the outfits like 14:21 and 14:32. Idk what you call the outer layer it's not a cardigan material its like a really soft knit tshirt fabric cardigan/vest. The "vest," tank top underneath, a belt over the cardigan/vest, layers of jewelry, skinny jeans and then strappy wedge heel. Absolutely gorgeous.
I had one I wore all the time. I also wanted a tuxedo vest/waistcoat so badly as a child. I finally thrifted one! Also I wanted a necklace like 18:34. An acrylic crystal type bib statement necklace (I wore one for my 8th grade dance!). The tunic tops! The boots! The butterfly sleeve tops! Omg I loved the "tent" tank tops! I have a couple from Selena's Kmart clothing line "Dream Out loud."
I want to recreate basically all of the hairstyles she wears in Wizards of Waverly Place! I wish I could find more hair tutorials that explain it. I don't have any experience lol so it seems like rocket science to me. Plus I want to try to do it heatless so I'm even more lost! There are so many different way she wore curls and they are all so pretty!
