How is she "underrated"? She's regarded as a legend, and starred in three mega-hit TV shows. She doesn't work so much now, out of choice, not because people don't want her.
My sister, when she wasn’t giving tennis lessons for the New Canaan Recreation Dept, worked summers as a bartender at the Westport (CT) Playhouse, which Paul and Joann owned. She got to meet Jane and thought she was incredibly friendly and approachable. Turns out she met Jane again at a party years later through Denny Dillon who went to Syracuse with my sister and (briefly) joined the cast of SNL after Jane had moved on. We lived close enough to NYC that Karen would manage to get audience tickets at least a couple times each season. I was too young to accompany her, damnit
Love Jane. Especially glad she mentioned How to Beat the High Cost of Living! One of my childhood favorites, and still enjoy watching it today. And, of course, always loved Kate & Allie.
As an actress who’s only just now beginning in her journey, I have been living for these career conversations. But I do find it extremely disheartening to find a lack of conversations with women who’s careers that I’d found aggressively inspiring during my coming-of-age into the actress I am now.. specifically, actresses who look like me. Underutilized actresses of color like Vivicka A Fox or Kimberly Elise. Penelope Cruz, Michelle Rodriguez, America Ferrara, Zoe Saldana, Constance Wu, Kerry Washington, Lucy Lui... etc.. Perhaps I haven’t looked hard enough for their interviews, I just noticed that these women weren’t readily available for me to see interviews of them describing their careers and was SO disappointed. As a child, I’d recite Kimberly Elise and Michelle Rodriguez’s most epic scenes from “Girl Fight” or “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” alone in my room into the mirror! It would mean a lot to women like me to see them talk about their journeys, even if they aren’t conventional journeys, they matter too.... just putting it out there lol. Thank you!
She is so sweet, humble and talented woman,I am huge fan of Jane Curtin, she is so underrated actress.

Wish she had more views. She deserves it. Funny ...just so funny
She was a pillar of the show. Her and Ackroyd were excellent in those first 5 years.
She is such a wonderful actress. Loved everything she's done!
I keep listening to this interview as I'm doing things around the house I really like her I think she is truly talented and awesome!! ❤
I always enjoyed watching her on SNL in the late '70s. She was an excellent straight person to the other actors on that show.

I love Jane! Grew up watching everything she did!
I painted one of her bathrooms in her CT home in the early 1980s. Very nice lady.

You are not alone . There are others who would like to hear the voices of these women, in interviews like this
I always thought she would have cast well in Mel Brooks movies
