I had a similar, if not so extreme, experience. My family and I were bringing my grandma to a shop. My father looks up the place in Google Maps. We walk towards it, 200 meters or so before the address the map said, we find the store's door. My father proceeded to refuse to accept that it was the correct store and while the rest of us got tired of his shenanigans and went in, he decided to walk to where the phone said so he could prove us wrong, likely to return all smug. A few minutes later, he returned with a very annoyed expression and barely said a thing all day.
People actually dove in and out themselves in danger to help those people. God bless them, I hope the stranded people were as appreciative as they deserved!

It’s not luck. Try driving in a 3rd world country with no traffic lights on intersections. People just instinctively dodge each other at the crossroad and somehow traffic moves along.
Back when I worked in a pizza place a dad let his kid carry out his personal pizza . The kid dropped it as soon as they got out the door. The dad came in to buy a new pizza and was not raging at the kid. I threw away the asphalt pizza and didn't charge him for the replacement.

I had a similar, if not so extreme, experience.
My family and I were bringing my grandma to a shop. My father looks up the place in Google Maps. We walk towards it, 200 meters or so before the address the map said, we find the store's door. My father proceeded to refuse to accept that it was the correct store and while the rest of us got tired of his shenanigans and went in, he decided to walk to where the phone said so he could prove us wrong, likely to return all smug.
A few minutes later, he returned with a very annoyed expression and barely said a thing all day.
