- In this 82nd installment, Jimmy builds a couple of inexpensive guitar racks for the studio.
The Rok-It RI-GTR-Rack5 guitar racks are available on Amazon with a lot of different “mixed” reviews.
Are they any good? Will they hold 5 guitars per rack as advertised? Will they hold offsets?
Let’s have a look, shall we?
Thanks for the video, it helped me get it together!
Glad it helped! Truly appreciate your stopping into the channel! 🎸👍
Thank you Jimmy. 2 videos in 2 days, awesome. I've had this exact stand in my wish list for a couple of months. Not many people review things like this. I appreciate the review. Now I know that I can finally purchase it. Looking forward to your Grote shoot-out video!
Thanks Tim! I took a chance too as the reviews I read were all over the place. You just need to put it together carefully, and put the right bolts in the right places. It will do the job just fine! Appreciate your stopping in as always! 👍🎸
Thanks Jimmy! I am closing on the new pad at the end of the month and will have a new music room and was considering this same rack to consolidate the guitars in a straight line! I really appreciate the video and I will be ordering a couple of these soon.
Wow!! New digs!! Happy for ya bro…..new music room is also sweet!!
Good luck with the move, and hope all works out well for ya!!
OUTSTANDING! 👍🎸
A local wood worker sells his 5 guitar stands for $60 CAD. Light and padded, i've loved using it for my 4 clones. A 5th 335 type is on the way. It will fill the rack out nicely! Those racks look very good if you are patient and put them together properly.
Nice! I was looking at building a couple, but the cost of lumber and the time was too prohibitive at this point. Perhaps a future project. These were fine for my current use, and yes…being careful in build and use is required. Bringing guitars in and out of the rack carefully is required! 😎
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 👍🎸
Looking great 👌
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Appreciate your stopping in….👍🎸
I now have the faintest of scratches on the back of one of my guitars after it scraped across the knob of the guitar behind it as I was pulling it out to play.
These things are extremely convenient, but that wobble factor can come back and nibble you in the rump.
Yep….one of the reasons I hesitated so long in doing this, but really wanted to regain the real estate in the studio. Just like taking your guitars down from wall racks, you do need to be careful and use caution with multi guitar racks. I am usually very careful, but yes…accidents can happen! Thanks for watching and commenting Chance….appreciate it! 👍🎸
Those are great and well priced.
Yep! I agree….perfect for what I need to use them for and easy enough to put together once you figure out the “bolt configuration” 😎
Certainly appreciate your stopping in to the channel! Much thanks…👍🎸
Did it have the size of the screws. Mine were missing.
Hi insunhardymon…As I recall, yes it did, but it was quite awhile ago now. If yours were missing, you could probably contact them and let them know. I would think they would send them to you!
Haha...same thing, no hardware. What a gongshow.

Hmm…weird…mine were there! Contact them and let them know!
just a heads up. Gator recommends that these stands not be used for long term display, as the padding can interact with certain finishes. . . ..
Thanks so much for watching and commenting ChillyRock&Roll…
Appreciate your stopping in and sharing your thoughts! I think I rotate them enough, but appreciate the heads up! 👍🎸
How many P-90 rigs do you have? I'm looking...
I would have to count….I would say around half my electrics are P90 equipped (my fav pup) so I would guess around 20 or so?
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Much appreciated! 👍🎸
12 guitars hanging.
Well now I don't feel so bad having the amount of guitars I have now.
🤣🤣
That’s just hanging….another 30 or so in their cases…😎
@@JimmyStewart1 Oh wow!!!
