Remember that fish keeping is truly a fluid situation and what works for one set-up might not work for another. Do plenty of research gathering information from several reliable sources before making any changes in your aquarium.

YOU ROCK! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
My Mom and Pop fish store has told me You may go thru a thousand deaths before you become a Master in this hobby. I've tried hard to prove them wrong! If we learn from each episode, I see their point. It's the mysteries that break my heart! PS I LOVE SALLY!!
That's why it's so important to monitor your tanks and watch your fish during feeding times to check on how they are doing, if a heater or filter is getting too old in service best to replace them after 5 years or so for safety
Sorry of your loss
Everyone is looking fantastic. I know I'm biased, but the red terror is putting on some seriously amazing colors. The one I kept has grown more since going into the upgraded sized tank buy he isn't nearly as handsome as the one you have.
No takebacks ! 🤣🤣🤣
@@BenOchart LOL 😆
I love the albino heckelli, but I think the male festae is your best-looking fish! Definitely deserves a nice-looking female! It would be a shame not to pass on those genetics to another generation.
I agree!
Mr. Ben Ive been speaking to some fishy people they said aquarium co-op stop making those heaters because of issues.
Looks like Mrs O may be innocent.
lol 😂
Like a pardon from the governor 🤣
@@BenOchart lol
Ben,
Great video and update sir. The fish are looking amazing and healthy as always sir. The most frustrating thing is having die off and not sure why or how there was a die off. I had some fish recently die and for no reason I can’t pin point why or what happened. Maybe they got spooked and hit their head on the lid is what I am thinking. Weird I will see marks on the fish like where did that come from lol. Then maybe few days later or so dead. Confusing hobby we are in. We try to provide the best life possible for our wet pets and sometimes some fish don’t make it. Appreciate the honestly and transparency that we all go through set backs in this hobby.
Hey Ben, just picked up a 5 inch mesoheros festae myself. Beautiful fish! But man she can dig up substrate!
Like a front loader!
Setbacks are inevitable. Just like in martial arts, black belts are just white belts who stuck with it. Same goes for fishkeepers. We were all beginners at some point.
I just had a powerhead short out on me enough for it gave me a shock it didn't seem to affect my fish
Great video everyone is looking good. I would keep a close eye on the saum with the scrape on his head. Thanks for sharing
I recently lost a Flagfish which I believe was due to improper feeding on my part. I offered the tank carnivore pellets for the sake of variety and I believe she got a few too many and bloated out. Every time I’ve lost a Flagfish it seems the same, precipitated by a bloat and hovering on the bottom beforehand.
that's the same thing that happened to me I lost a lot of fish it was because of a heater it was all very small fry first time I was raising fry and I fried them I felt bad but the heater went bad on me .
The hawk is such a great fish. How is the rhodesii going and how big is he?
Hawks are very cool looking fish with very interesting hunting behaviors. The rhodesii is rocking. Mellowed out (was a bit aggressive in the beginning) and close to 10”.
You say that about the sand but that's all they need no gravel what so ever gravel hurts there gill be a good fish keeper and give them a suitable home
Did you lose some of the fish from the large African Cichlid tank? Looks somewhat less populated than last time I looed at it. You have some nice tetras and Cental and South American cichlids
Over the last 3 years several have died. Recently I lost my old sand diver.
@@BenOchart One thing I enjoy about central and south american cichlids is they seem to live at least twice as long as Africans.
Are you gonna get another 55 to replace the other one?
GlassCages here in Nashville is making one for me.
@@BenOchart Yes! Lol Let's go! Haha
