I agree. You have to learn to accept who you are as much as you can before being with someone so you're not desperate for their validation.
The heady bit when first meeting someone is called limerence. It's not always love. It can feel obsessive. You need to go through some time and some rough bits first to really feel true love

​@@Jasminiumusicaw guess I worded that wrong. I should say it helps a lot to accept yourself but you're right..we can't always accept ourselves all the time or love ourselves. Actually sometimes having a partner can be really healing!

It's funny that you're uploading a video like this right after I've been dumped 🥲 everytime something like this happens, I feel like I don't wanna open up to anyone ever again, because it just hurts so bad to lose them when the time comes. And it really, really does, wow. At the same time, being with the right person, someone who's truly good and healthy for you, is the best thing in the world. So we still go out and make ourselves vulnerable, but I think it's worth it.
