So here's what I think:
This song is in the perspective of/or about the perspective of an abuse victim. This person is in an abusive relationship which is due to the partner's drinking habits. At night seems to be when he drinks and becomes hostile. And in the mornings is when he promises to quit. To become sober. Which is the only reason she's staying with him. Because she believes these promises and loves him that much. Which is why she'll "stay forever" when the morning comes. "Admit to me that you aren't changing so I have the courage to leave. Stop giving me false hope." Again-- this is just what I think this song is about. I think the editing is done this way to demonstrate physically what he is emotionally. A monster.
Another possibility is that the video portrays the victim only through the lyrics and physical representation of KROY while you watch the abuser disassociate themselves into the "monster" she describes. I don't know. The more I watch, the more intrigued I am by this. It may simple and not actually this deep, maybe far deeper, maybe more obvious-- but I love this video AND song!

I enjoy the juxtaposition of the gentleness of her voice, the fluttering eyelashes and typical representation of prettiness with the angry, twisted movements. There's a darkness to it that's pretty cool.

I think it's to prove her to be the monster or at least look it hence the name of the song monstrosity. If you pause the song at certain parts you can see how strange her face looks or as it seems she's trying to stop herself from fully transforming i think 🤷🏿‍♀️

The videoclip is not the best in terms of creativity but she has an amazing talent for non verbal expression, a very good base for acting....you should defeinitely...,love the song...but it's an old one :) can't wait for new stuff. Love my local scene :)
