      Thanks so much Jacqueline, give it a go and see what you can do, but don't stress over it, just relax, enjoy the process and don't be self critical of what you achieve, especially if you're not used to working with clay 🙂

    Oh I am so in love with these little fairy cup and saucer creations! The cane variations opens up so many possibilities. These are truly inspired, thank you once again Fiona for sharing your amazing creativity and talents with us, it is greatly appreciated by all of us with that inner little girl who still believes in fairies. 🧚❤💜

    I love the cups and the mould for shaping the cups, one way of ensuring they are all the same size. When I was making a dinner set at a Barbie doll size I bought a handful of different sized washers from the hardware store, this enabled me to make plates with the shallow depression as well as other sized plates. I used what is called a coach bolt for making different sized bowls.
    I love looking at shapes all the time to see what can be used for something totally different.
    I bought a aluminium domed painting tray, for making hollow beads a few years back, but I like the idea of the measuring spoons.

      Yes, I am just the same, always seeing what I can use in a different way for polymer clay - love your ideas for the plates. Thanks so much 🙂

    I've been working on a fairy garden scene that is viewed via 8 × 10 magnified sheet from dollar tree then repeat that scene on a smaller scale so u can look through the scaled down magnified sheet to see the same thing sort of like the infinity mirror effect but the real version not an optical illusion then repeat until I just can't if I had one of those artist microscopes I'd even push the boundaries to include that

    Why not just cut the circles out of the molding compound? Why make the mold?

    • @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals
      @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals  Рік тому

      Using a mould gave me a better and flatter finish than I would get by cutting the moulding compound, and less waste of the moulding compound. But absolutely do it as you suggest, there is no 'right' way to do most things, and we all have different approaches. All I do is show how I do it, that doesn't mean it is necessarily the best way 😉🙂

    Does anyone else experience total hold like giddiness when 9t comes to miniature items rather it b creating them or viewing them . I swear I become an over elated 6 yr old when ever 8 come across a new cool mini item especially like the doll house for the doll house's doll house..... yeah I know I'm feeling it right now

    • @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals
      @FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals  Рік тому +1

      I know exactly what you mean - experienced it the first time I went to a miniature show. I think my mouth was open in an 😲 the whole time I was there 😉🙂
