We're gonna analyze her kit to find out if Geo might finally be a competitive unit after being completely irrelevant for so long.

I feel like hoyo gonna give Neuvillette rerun archon treatment before wrio if they do that then cryo will be dead.
The difference between Geo and Cryo are really interesting to me. Geo characters are made incredibly powerful to make up for their lack of reactions, Navia, Zhongli, Chiori, and for a good while Albedo all have had their high performance moments getting basically nothing from their elements, meanwhile Cryo characters were made largely around their reactions. So now that we are in a current meta where cryo reactions, especially freeze aren't good, you can make a solid argument that while Geo as an element is worse than cryo, the Cryo roster is struggling the most because they rely on the reactions more heavily and are let down harder.
Chiori and Albedo are anything but incredibly powerfull, even on his release Albedo was never well seen, we just lacked good options in a lot of teams. But yeah I agree the good geo characters are given a lot of power to make up for their weak element.

Honestly people really underestimate crystalize , yeah it shields is not that strong but geo characters produces so much of it and it prevents your characters from getting staggered , navia is so easy to play cause of this

I know the whole "zhongli doesnt know what damage is" thing is a meme and all but i got Zhongli as my first limited character right when i started and i actually didnt get any notifications about what being afflicted with elements did (except for cryo and hydro) until halfway through sumeru.

how many even Gorou skill generate Particle ? iirc the one who Good being battery for Geo is Geo MC and Yunjin being 3 particle per 6 Sec. Xillonenndo 4 particle with 7 sec so..... if gorou able do 5-7 particle with his E then your argument is Valid 😂
@@Kindi001 im pretty sure gorou generates 6 geo particles. its also the fact that gorou can use his e and quickly switch into itto so he can catch them. Xilonen needs to do 2 normals, and by that time she herself would've caught the particles.

If I understand correctly, she doesn’t *need* C2, her Geo sampler is always active regardless, so she is always providing the unconditional shred

@@victorford5047 It actually means Itto is finally passing Noelle. Because Noelle heals, she was better on Furina teams than Itto and between her and Gorou they could max her stacks, but Itto could never.
Now that he has an actual healer, she can make him a lot better than he ever was.

If all this wasn't enough, Xilonen is up there for the best exploration unit in the game even outside Natlan. Her dash is goes further than Yelans and can scale walls, but the cooldown is only 6 seconds compared to Yelan's 10 seconds. I was worried that she wouldn't feel good outside of Natlan, and I was dead wrong.
I thought her movespeed was slow but she is really fast in her skill and her wall jumps are goated

I remember hearing about Xilonen being terrible from all sorts of people that I guess look at leaks, and I got worried that she would be another Deyha, but upon looking into it, it turned out, she’s been cracked from the start, but people were so scared that she’d be nerfed into the ground that people started criticizing her kit in order to “trick” mihoyo into not nerfing her
I have never heard of Xilonen being bad. And Hoyo doesn't care about leakers say.
They warned about Dehya being underwhelming and she still stayed the way she currently is
Xilonen being bad was an early impression of the fact that she is geo and they thought it was such a waste because people like her design. Hoyo did nerf her a few times.
In week one, people were still assessing her kit. By week two, everyone knew she would be great and started doing the bit about her being bad so she wouldn't get any major nerfs. By week three, it had gotten really old and most people were over it, though a lot of people were still doing it. It led to confusion for a lot of people who didn't frequent the leaks channel or sift through the comments for context.
Xilonen was never bad. People all knew she was good. It was more that she fulfilled all the conditions of a character that may get nerfed into the ground. So they ritually doomposted about her to keep the bad nerfs away. It was just a joke, really.

The biggest issue was Kazuha came out way too early to power creep him any time soon or risk speeding up the level of power creep to levels many people would give up on the game over because it would be seen as pay to win. He was a strong buffer, but more so, he was a strong buffer with the best support element. He has a 40% damage bonus at 1000 EM, but it took until Furina's 69% at level 9 Q fully charged to power creep him. Why? VV. She isn't going to kill Kazuha or even fully power creep him, but she's close and can be so close because of her element. Same with Navia having such high numbers. They can't vape or melt so it's fine.

- grouping
- higher actual buff numbers with good (but obtainable) builds
- higher individual damage
- easier to trigger full buffs for multiple elements (both VV and his passive rely on swirls and he can double swirl fairly consistently in many teams)
- (does not)buffs anemo (I was under the assumtion that VV shreds both anemo and the other element in the reaction. This is apparently not the case like it is with Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City)
- isn't restricted to needing at least 2 PECH characters on a team
Xilonen
- longer buff uptime
- doesn't need to be refreshed per wave
- has healing
- crystalize has a shield
- easier to trigger if you only care about one other element (besides geo)
- buffs geo
I think her being restricted to needing 2 crystallizable elements on her team to trigger her buffs is going to hold her back the most. I wanted a Navia/Furina team for her with Xianyun, but she can't use Navia and Xianyun, so you'd have to use Charlotte or replace Navia with a PECH plunger.
Edit: I still think she's overall better than he is, but I don't think it's to the point where people need to rush to build her to replace him.
In MY OPINION, the top 5 supports are probably:
Furina (duh, she gives a ton of bonus damage and also deals damage like a sub dps on her own at the cost of needing a healer in the team)
Nahida (here for how many teams she enables that others can't or don't reach even close to her level on)
Xilonen (overall a better Kazuha)
Kazuha (the og op support)
Bennett (I just don't value raw attack that much. I know it's a lot, but it's too conditional for me to rate higher. Circle gaming. Plus if you knock back enemies, they can get pushed out easily)
I didn't include things (not that they'd be higher) like Nilou or Xiangling because Nilou just creates her own team she's not necessarily a support in that team, and XL is more of a sub dps than a support and her only supportive quality is high pyro app.
wdym by Kazuha buffing Anemo??? Besides a battery, no one ever use Kazuha to buff Anemo. And it's hard to double swirl especially on Single/Boss enemies, and not a lot team can do that ie the one without off-field.

@@dinocharlie1 Because VV even till today still BiS for Anemo. i have decent Crit rate on Kazuha even with 999 EM, and in Aggrovate team Kazuha dmg is suprisingly good for character kits works center around CC and buffing by swirl. And Nathlan Artefact really crazy good for Nathlan native, 40% elemental dmg for both element when doing reaction and at 28 sec to the bot? holywobaboo
Also you really favor crystilize shield but not Kazuha Grouping huh? bennet yes has Circle impact but if the enemies groupable then its not that difficult for kazuha do grouping, and if the stage multi wave you can use Sac Sword to have that pessudo Double E grouping. by playing IT and abyss you know how good and quick to clear stage with good grouping no?

Kazuha still way better then xiolonen. Double swirl is hard but possible while the natlan set only buffs one Element and geo in this case. Kazuha deals good dmg for a Buffer while xiolonen has qiqi level of dmg. Xiolonen has close to no application making her not that good in Navia teams. Aside of Neuvilette Team where you swap Zhongli out for her I don't See where she would be an upgrate over Kazuha but i'm open to hear you out

Chiori's outfit is kinda mid for someone who's supposed to be a designer, kinda expected her to have a fully experimental outfit
The bit about healing
We did have gorou who has a constellation that does enable some amount of healing, even if not a lot it was usually enough to keep up with corrosion on your main dps on field vs the rift hounds
My C6 Zhongli is also a healer. Most people probably won't see that kind of play though.

Honestly, Geo has always been my most reliable element beginning with Noelle. Geo works on all enemies with the exception of Geo Slimes and Specters, but since a lot of them are claymore users it's not much of an issue.
Neuvilette finally collected all the Infinity Stones. Now all Treasure Hoarders "won't feel so good". Got her after 10 pulls and I have one unused Cinnibar Spindle lying around, so I think I'll have her built up in no time.
I'm a Xilonen believer, her exploration capabilites are insane. Her quality of life features are no joke, daliies took a couple of minutes today.
3:41 The one nice thing about power creep is that it means I never have to go "well, I guess I'm keeping this" on a Maiden's Beloved piece with Crit Rate, Crit Dmg and ER ever again
Xilonen is the first character since Itto, I got to C2 on release and even got her weapon, pouring all my recources into her banner.
I kind of a geo lover. When i play geo characters most of the time i didnt want to think about setting things for reaction. Just unga bunga everything. With the ping i got setting up for reactions is hard.
OK, you convinced me to use that random guarantee I got from Furina's banner on Xilonen.
I seriously want to see Hyper Raiden with a c2 Xilonen. just the fastest most bonkers burst rotation. Raiden e, Xil e atkatk Q if needed, benny qe, Sara eq > Raiden burst, repeat at 14 second intervals due to Sara's cd. but with Raiden/Xil energy refund everybody should be immediately up with zero downtime. 7 second setup 7 seconds go time. c6 Raiden might actually make the rotation to fast to physically execute.
im going c0 and r1 if im lucky on pulls, but will save and consider cons for her rerun. c2r1 maviuka is also a goal. then one yet to be determined natlan dps that ill weapon and con out sometime. likely only mav gets fully done on first banner, but rerun Xil and 2 rounds of whatever dps i choose will cover me for natlan.
with c2 45% hp my tartaglia is about to evolve into a tanktaglia

I pulled her but I am going to pray that I'll be able to get Nahida after. I've got 60 pulls so far after doing the archon quest but I still have a lot of exploration in Natlan and a bit in Sumeru left so I'd say I'll at least be able to get a guarantee 5 star when her banner comes around. I hope Furina isn't rerunning after, I really don't think I'll be lucky enough to get her.
C2 is a fun constellation. 6 second Keqing ults in aggravate is ridiculous lmao. She literally becomes immune to damage

I feell like if gorou was made in 4-5.0 his skill would be more like xilonen’s c2 or wanderer’s skill absorption effect and he’d have more healing from c4 bc of furina
Traveling with her feels so satisfying. It'd need testing of course but I'm pretty sure she's the fastest character / has the fastest movement in the game.
This is probably the best set of banners I've ever seen. Xilonen (as Vars noted, broken af) with a weapon banner that has 1 fate point and an amazing DPS weapon as fallback, along with a couple new weapons.
I'm definitely getting C0R1 and I hope I lose the weapon's 50/50. I will strongly consider C2.

I'm done, i'm pulling her, here goes my mavuiks saving
Also her C2 is Cyno's angel.
It's regenerating 1/3 of his ult while decreasing the cd.
She buffs his DMG and shred electro for 15s which can keep up with his long ass ult + by recharging his ult she eliminated his recharge problem.
So by herself she removes his 2 major weakness which is no shred and buffs that can keep up and his expensive yet necessary ult. And with a 7s cd you can get out of his ult, activate her C2, do your rotation, back to her and activate her C2 again, so effectively you have FREAKING 50 energy for Cyno hungry ass.
And since she can buff multiple elements she can also buff Yelan/xingqiu to help their personal damage as well, and by being a healer with interruption res at C1 you can also drop baizhu and add nahida to buff Cyno even further with her giant EM buff.
Her C2 is literally like an flying angel for Cyno XD
Xilonen also has top tier Exploration abilities which is like 95% of this game. She’s also super hot…. She has a super cute tail and ears. She’ll probably have a great personality in the story….lookin to be stacked in all aspects.
I pulled for her C2 and weapon cuz I love her, I'm a Brazilian (and we claimed her as Brazilian, so I had to have her) and I wanted to boost my Itto.
.... She gives SO MUCH, so freaking much, I had to change my geo goblet for a def% on Itto simply because his own geo goblet was being bonus DMG overkill, mind you my Itto is C6, but just by kicking albedo out and putting her, his slashes went from 75k to 130k.
She's THAT insane with C2 and weapon, and don't even get me started on her ult dealing 400k aoe damage.
I don't know what to tell you, I mever saw anyone being apprehensive about Xilonen being a geo, if anything Navia mains were excited for a new support.
I’m pretty sure Xilonen is one of the only characters to afflict debuffs without artifacts besides lisa

you forgot about the fact that she can not only be used as a hypercarry on mono geo, but that it out damages itto by roughly 20% in similar conditions
Xilonen does actually have a niche use in Dendro teams- Burgeon. Specifically, in a Burgeon team with a strong on-field Hydro unit, like Childe or Neuvillette. As a Geo character, she helps reduce the chance of Burning while also not interfering with Burgeon itself, and her healing helps mitigate Burgeon's self-damage, allowing Thoma to be built for full EM as opposed to shield strength.
This makes think of something triple fav Burgeon with Thoma either Ayato or Yelan Idk about childe because Thoma's duration is pretty long.

Alright you convinced me. I lost my 50/50 on Raiden so originally I was going to save it for Mavuika, Furina or Neuvillette (whichever came first) but I have to get Xilonen now. Also if thats just c2 I cant imagine how busted the rest of her cons are.
I also appreciate Hoyo making a lot of the newer characters as "revivals" for reactions or mechanics that are pretty much dead. Chevy for Overload, Xianyun for plunging, Navia's a geo dps that can work well with other elements, Emilie and Kinich for Burgeon and even Freminet was made in mind for freeze/shatter teams. Hopefully Snezhnaya can save cryo
The are still geo characters that need buffing, new characters wont change much. Best way to save geo is geo x anemo, geo x dendro with normal geo reactions get rework like geo x electro does shock damage to the closes enemy by 3 meters etc it will help old characters

hold up the c2 is not specifying geo dmg bonus, just saying a geo sample gives 50% DMG bonus, correct me if I'm understanding this wrong because that's even more insane

If Xilonen is literally nahida/furina archon level there's no way mavuika is supposed to live
i think you forgot to mention that kazuha onl buffs 4 out of 7 while navia can buff 5 out of 7 which includes geo, while kazuha could be slotted in every team except anemo dendero and geo xilonen can be put into those teams, meaning that geo finally has a good dedicated support that could decrease res aside from gorou(which is for mono geo) and navia also has a good buffer too.
if only Mavuika’s banner was atleast 3 versions away I would’ve pulled for C2 Xilonen because the way she increases the potential of many teams just by existing wow

Just extra info: You still need to trigger a reaction for the Cinder set (and her weapon) - it can still be cumbersome to melt/vape teams. Still a little better than Kazuha though, since all of his buffs are tied to swirls, as compared to Xilonen's 2/3. All of this doesn't matter if you play mono elements so there's also that.
Going into this episode i expect to hear the same thing as navia “shes a character that is geo she is not a character made based on geo”
What i like is that she's the first character with 2 kits instead of one, we have split scaling but that's a failure, we have multiple builds as in artis and weapon variations but this is the first character that has two versions of her kit, one support when there 2 or more element samples and one that's dps-ish when there's 1 or none.
Is it a huge difference? Yeah kinda but is it a useful one? Nah is still better to stick with support BUT this gives me hopes for future characters that have more "kits" and their kits get changed based on how you play them how hers changes from healer support to more dmg instances and more dmg but no heals. Again is it a good change? Ehh support ability is better but this opens up possibilities for future characters to have the same type of multiple "kits" depending on different conditions, i love this idea.
Don't get me wrong.. I am extremely tempted to pull for Xilonen, but I won't... her Banner is simply *Horrendous!*
I am not about to spend all my diligently saved up wishes to get a bunch of these 4*stars...
Besides, the Pyro Archon is coming, and by virtue of being an Archon, I'm sure she will be very strong and useful.
Not getting Xilonen right now may be difficult, but I'm sure it will be worth it if that can allow me to get more Constellations on the Archon + Weapon.
I can always get Xilonen when she reruns later (hopefully on a better banner).
Will her healing keep up with Furina teams? The reason we used Jean in Furina teams was the party wide burst healing she gave.

@@Efgand0894 unfortunately the cons mentioned nothing on her healing capability afaik, if any only her C5 that increases Burst lvl can amp up the heal amount, but still only single target
Her c6 gives healing when her skill is used, among other things, but it still only heals the active character. I don’t think she’s the best fit for Furina teams, although she’s still great.
Yes, she does keep up even if the healing isn't party wide.
She heals a lot, and she does it pretty quickly too, so even if Furina isn't at C2, you can gain a good amount of fanfare stacks while the team uses their bursts.
she heals like half the HP of your on field per tick so thats a lot but not team wide

Hmm i understand the situation you are in. Archon rerun 4 patches after their initial release. Wriotesly had'nt has his rerun since release in 5.1. I would rather secure one copy of the character and pull for cons later, then miss it completly. If clearing spiral abyss is no problem for you i would suggest going for C0 first. Hope this will help in your decission.
13:33 cryo does have top tier representatives in shenhe she just has no one to back her up (besides anemo and geo) all other elements has atleast 1 dps
C0 Shenhe isn't good enough for today's standards. 5(or 7 if hold) quills is lackluster, especially in AoE.
And we're not even talking about C6 making her Do team whide heals maximizing Furina Fanfare with JUST HER

Pulling for her looks and her kit. Hate her animations and what Ive seen of her personality, still the only dmg% buffer I dont consider an eyesore so I'm biting the bullet.
Having her C0R1 i can already feel how disgustingly broken she feels, I kinda want C2 to buff the one rainbow team I plan on using her in but it's hard to justify for myself. I don't expect to use her outside of abyss because she feels too strong for my taste which makes me think I'll regret pulling her down the road until someone powercreeps her and I can justify using her

Resisting a meta pull wasnt this hard since.... furina? Yeah furina should have been the last great support&off-field damage unit.
But furina should also be fine for husbando collectors, she does have boyish vibes (and i have often seen her fashion be compared with a boy from that demon buttler anime)
