Check out the all new Red Magic Gaming Tablet! bit.ly/4ezyzqm **NOTES & CORRECTIONS** - In acts 3&4 the Lord of the Night says that PO created the elements from Phlogiston so they could counter the abyss which is a bit of a paradoxical statement with the way it's phrased. This does change some aspects of the early parts of the video (although fundamentally I still think this works well) that I don't think are easy to explain in a footnote, so I'll be making a follow-up video JUST on this topic. I'll link it here when it's complete. - Forgot to mention this: There are three hypostases that are NOT named after letters, but they are named after an incantation from the Black Pullet Grimoire that lets you summon power that kinda controls the world, so I think the comparison still works.
@Ashikai I think you're on to something, but I don't believe they were able to defeat the dragons with the abyss. After all, if they control the abys, why would they have had to drop those nails? How could the abyss order even exist? I believe they understood the processes of manipulating the world far better than the dragons, and they used that to their advantage to weaken the dragons and strengthen themselves. That's just my opinion though, just thought I'd share it with you. And as always, it was a great video!
It's actually amazing how they are able to weave together so many concepts, philosophies and myths from various cultures around the world to create really compelling lore and backstory to their "Hoyoverse".
@@kyoken8691 Oh, I absolutely agree! I just think it's kind of bizarre how knowledge, myths, and creation tear at Teyvat from every angle. It's like the encyclopedic knowledge of Hoyoverse is the literal source of Teyvat's problems. It's just a slightly concerning vibe, ya know?
@Zoh-ria interesting. I paid for a sub, I was so done with ads. If they start adding unskipable ads to subscriptions as well, I'll be done with UA-cam. But I bet they try in the near future!
On the topic of Paimon actually literally being an assigned guide, I was speedrunning Story Quests for a different account recently when I noticed how many of them (and events and world quests) happened because she randomly had a thing she wanted to do or place she wanted to go. Like her seeing a mushroom (just a normal mushroom, pretty common to see in all the nations) and then suddenly she wants to go back to Sumeru at the exact time they needed to be there so that the Traveler can witness Hermanubis' power becoming whole again and having the Temple of Silence start an alliance with the Akademiya. She triggers so many things that the Traveler wouldn't have been involved in otherwise, it's crazy. (Maybe I should start doing a tally of how much we get to see specifically because of Paimon's "random" whims)
@@Nyaahahaha actually that's a good point... it's like paimon telling us, now it's not the time yet to explore this area.. the destined to explore a certain area is not there yet
Ever since Alhaithem's teaser said that the study of the origin of language was forbidden I've been waiting for this video. I am glad someone finally figured out what that was meant.
back in inazuma, i was a little more invested in genshin lore and cant remember how but i came to a conclusion that celestial nails were oddly similar to the quill of a writing plume, and it was absorbing the abyssal corruption as it was ink. happy to see i was not lost in my thoughts
Always felt like zhongli trying to become a descender *had* to have been the case considering he was holding a yearly rite of *descension*. It's my belief that he was doing it each year to harvest the populace's resolve but when the traveller showed up, switched tactics to staging a death to test their will and see if the job could be handed over to someone on a faster track to his own goals.
This ties in well with the Teyvat-is-a-dream-bubble theory. If the native humans are but dreams or recreations (e.g. of a destroyed planet ) then they would need the absolute order to survive, like the fixed routes the Goddess of Fate gave in Simulanka to protect the inhabitants there. The Teyvatians cannot deal with Forbidden knowledge, because it is too open-ended. That is why the primordial one created Irminsul and maybe even tied the Night kingdom into it to prevent anyone from tampering with Fate.
Just sayin. I'm willing to see a two-hour video of you theorizing about Rex Lapis, because the more you talked about him, the more I get confused as to what he is, and what his intentions or role or fate he will become
"paimon unknowingly is dictating the travelers fate" considering how she basically makes all story decision for us and is basically our voice, that makes a lot of sense. Dialogue options don't matter, paimon always ends up making every decision for us.
this got me thinking when you said "The word of god is order" It made me realize only the Traveler names out their burst/skill every other character i know or at least remember has a war cry (atk voicelines) that links to their ambition
@@alexprus7953 this is interesting because Sucrose is utilizing a failed alchemical experiment as a weapon. She's not simply using elemental energy with her attacks like most of the other characters, she's literally doing combat alchemy.
@@kyoken8691 now that you mentioned it That would mean her anemo powers are weaker than the other anemo users we've seen, she only uses her anemo on normal and charged attack her skill and burst are her alchemical products
@@neonnyagic8803 cant really call her weaker when say xiangling and yaoyao's skills are separate entities entirely. Also her E skill basically has her making an alchemical transmutation on the spot. It results in a failed creation that explodes. This is intentional as she realized that the explosion was useful for combat purposes. It's her Q whete she throws a bottle of pre-prepared materials. Hence why the alchemical lifeform lives longer.
Zhongli's in game kit is fun to look at in terms of his lore implications too: Skill is a stone pillar that creates a shield and resonates with other pillars/constructs. I liken it to teleport waypoints that are formed along the leylines that and connect all throughout teyvat. The leylines are a sort of defense force against the abyss in that they are what maintain order in the world. Burst is a meteor that hits hard and petrifies the enemies in its AOE - much like a celestial nail hitting down into Teyvat, petrifying the land in order to create resonance between the leylines. Zhongli is just... mystery incarnate.
I see you've noticed how Kaveh's design is mimicking the alchemic transumation (or genshin's version where rubedo and citrinnas are swapped) due to you showing him everytime you mention alchemy. It keeps me up at night
@bookswithike3256 it might be reading too much into it, of course. But I'm a believer that Kaveh is sus as all hell Another notion (very much a stretch haha) i entertained is that his clips, X I X I is probably referring to the descenders X meaning who lost their power/authority/role (idk the terms sorry) in descenderhood canonically, the first one lost the war and the third one is dead. we don't know the fate of the second one and then theres traveller But i have nothing for this haha
I am referring to a very small detail in this whole video which is even irrelevant to the main thing - but I have to agree with Paimon subconsciously dictating some flow of information around the Traveler. Now I am not sure if this information is a fate as a whole or some sort of "stop this" urge coded into her when something useful is going to come to light. In the very beginning of the game, the Traveler seems to know why they get elemental powers from the statue, but Paimon literally cuts them off like "haha it must be because you're not from this world, now let's go". Maybe that's why she usually takes things very superficially and convinces the Traveler to act on that superficial knowledge even though the Traveler very obviously knows something is up. Maybe her naivete is a byproduct of some sort of knowledge flow control, and that's her way of being the Traveler's "seelie". But which way does she protect this flow, actually? Because it seems she is stopping things the Traveler knows from being uttered to the world, not the other way around. And the Traveler, naturally secretive and the most mysterious character in the game, doesn't fight it, because they don't seem very eager to even correct people's wrong ideas about themself, no matter how insubsequential it is (like their age). I wonder if it's just a lazy way of keeping the audience in suspense, or something very significant in the story. Edit: Sometimes Paimon also gives out information the Traveler does not want to give out, and she's naive and can be a little stupid, but technically, it is also controlling this information flow.
Exactly. How much of it is her being a guide and how much is her acting like a sieve, filtering out information to and fro the Traveler and Teyvat. There have been many instances where she cuts off important information being revealed or discussed further and quickly changing the subject. Or when her naive read on a situation gets them in trouble, the Traveler going along despite being sceptical. Honestly I think this is just the writers finding an easy excuse for plot to happen and bait lore hints.
It's really funny to me that whilst he wasn't the main focus of the video, the longer this game goes on the more everyone finds themselves asking "What's the deal with Zhongli?"
uuh, when you talked about Paimon and that she is something like a seelie to the traveler and dictates his fate, I immediately had the words in my mind from SPOILER Archonstory 5.1 SPOILER the "Pilgrim's Chronicle". It says: "The star that transcends destiny and the greatest companion. "
That's possible! We know zhongli has a dragon form but it's very unlikely he's an "actual dragon" from teyvat. He also linked to celestia and the shades in a lot of interesting ways. We have zero clues on his origin. So many theories are swirling through my brain rn 😭
this video gave me chills, the Abyss being a kind of "force of nature" instead of the source of all evil just fits and explains a lot of stuff to me.... just perfect!
And now follows the question.. what should happen if a human were to fall into this 'force of nature'? If the abyss is the chaotic state of all things, what should be the conclusion to one taking this inside of themselves? I saw another video that talked about the Kabbalah and the Fatui resembling the respective order and meaning. The video also spoke about a hidden 11nth Element which stands for 'forbidden knowledge'. And we know somebody who fell into the abyss, crawled back out and seems to be just as mysterious as the one he's most commonly paired with by fans.
Maybe this is what Lumine means when she says that Aether will understand why she fights for the Abyss once his journey ends? Interesting theory and perspective, honestly.
me, looking at the thumbnail and the title: well okay then time to hear another one of those brilliant but sometimes kinda crazy theories. can't wait to think "omg that actually makes so much sense!!" in like 15 minutes
You are the first and only Genshin CC I came across that have an extensive knowledge of real-life esoteric arts, and you connect those themes to the in-game lore so perfectly well. When most people say "genshin has a good story/lore", I doubt they understand the deeper meaning thats hidden behind knowledge not many know of (for good reason). You earned my sub.

Ashi CLUTCHING this maintenence with some genshin theories for us. This should be a thing. More genshin creators should put out stuff during maintenence to keep their audiences (who are likely players) entertained while ALSO benefitting from the influx of views from said captive audience.
Tying back to Hoyo’s other games, is part 2 of HI3rd which introduces a thing called source data, which is extracted from sea of data, which when first introduced is akin to the sea of quanta, which can be extracted to create anything from food, tech etc. Paralleling this source data is the power of shadows which using the power of fear can also be transmuted into food and stuff from essentially nothing. This shadow is also the main bad guy of part 2 as while the foodstuffs produced using the power of shadow through fear is the only way for the populace to survive, it also produces monsters which are a malevolent force plaguing said populace and threatens to destroy Mars where the story of Part 2 takes place. Now major spoilers to part 2, the entirety of part 2 takes place in a simulation, a sorta simulated universe. But they also reuse the idea of samsara, because like part 1 and GGZ, the entirety of part 2 is revealed to be the world being reset again and again as your play through is only 1 of many repeating cycles of the same story with the same cast members until the cycle is broken.
Speaking of words... reminds me of how Zhongli's echoing trail leaves "words'' behind him, I was pretty sure it wasn't just because he's a professional yapper 🤣🤣 Edit: thanks for the likes guys, I therefore highly encourage you to check Cristal Marie's Analysis, she has great points. She brought up a great point between "contracts" and "binding" and "Geo" that always was eery given what happener in the combat with Otto Apocalypse when he was using the void Archives, the power he emulated with VA was very, very reminicent of how Zhongli's power manifests. Just had to put that here.
Actually the more diverse materials you use for transmutation in genshin the more diverse is the outcome. So.. we can have a percentage of control over it!
I LITERALLY JUST COME FROM [MY NAME FOR NOW] CHANNEL AND THE TOPIC CORELATION IS INSANE. GOOD JOB AS ALWAYS ASHIKAI. . for those who are curious the title have "Caftsman" word on it the title is a bit long.
Yes.... I was also reminded of one of My Name For Now's videos when she likened the elements to the abyss. He's done something very similar using the same logic of order vs chaos. Can't remember which video it was exactly tho
35:07 SUDDEN THOUGHT: what if the traveler twins are both lucifer but the abyss twin represents the fallen angel version of lucifer while the traveler represents the normal angel version of lucifer?
Interesting you mention this because Lumine and Lucifer share name meanings (light) while Aether's name means the "sky behind the clouds", which you could argue to be the void or the abyss. They are themselves Pneuma and Ousia in name.

I just recently listened to neuvillette archon voicelines and out of all the archons he hates zhongli the most well I think it's because if you listen to the voiclines about other archons for venti he says he was given the anemo authority, for ei he says inherited, nahida he doesn't because of our irrmensul tampering but only for zhongli he says "won the geo authority" which could imply that every other archon didn't willingly take the elemental authority rather given by celestia except zhongli meaning he willingly fought for the geo authroity that's why I think he hates him. Btw I love watching your theory videos they bring an interesting and unique take to everything teyvat.
I like your video a lot! It's always fun to look at the theories and to think about the different ideas of the game. When it comes to the abyss, ever since your video on Irminsul and comparing it to a server, I got the idea that abyss was "untreated data". What is interesting is that this untreated data seems to behave like emptiness : When Caribert tries to take his mask off, his face should show up but we know that Hilichurls "don't have a face". That means that when his face should "begin to exist" (and should be treated by Irminsul) there isn't any information to process so this void of information need to be filled with something, that something is abyssal energy. This "untreated data" theory also explain the corruption of abyssal energy : Let's say you try to pick a cube, if Irminsul "knows" (or rather it has processed yours and the cube's data and you are both inside of it) you and the cube, when you try to pick it up the action can be processed with no problems. However, if the cube is made from abyssal energy, then it's not registered in Irminsul. And when you try to pick up the cube, Irminsul can't know what happens to you you since it doesn't know what you are picking up. This mean that you also become unknown to Irminsul and you become abyssal energy. And so you get corrupted. Finally this concept also ties in well with the idea of extracting elemental energy from abyssal energy : because this "untreated data" is pretty much the same idea from the book of Genesis.
During the sponsorship segment, you (presumably) had a really cool shirt! It had cat scara on it and I’m wondering where you got it. I don’t like wearing Genshin merch but that was really subtle.
Your connections between the Norns, the Seelies, the moon sisters, the Hexenzirkle, music, all of that was so brilliant and it felt like a way more thought out version of my personal theory linking the elf race (Klee, presumably Alice, Layla, anyone with pointed ears) to the Seelies and by extension the Moon Sisters, but I couldn’t figure out a good through line to connect my red conspiracy board strings to, so I laid it all out in a messy way that couldn’t draw any serious conclusions. I can’t bring myself to do the amount of research you seem to do for these theories, I rely on theorist UA-cam channels so much, you do amazing work!
your videos are always amazing to listen to in the background cuz it never fails to blow my mind. aka i stop doing whatever dafuq i'm doing cuz i had to pay attention to the video. guess who stopped doing work lmao
This probably wont be seen but I have a theory from the 5.1 Archon quest (Spoilers) Capitano who was from Khaenri'ah but was currently in Natlan. The abyss invaded on a massive scale starting all out war. The traveller who is collecting the elements, only needing Pyro and Cryo now. And the greatest secret being shown; the fake sky being broken and revealed what if Celestia notices everything, or at least the abyss and the broken sky which was hidden by The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles and just, drops a nail on Natlan. There does seem to be only one per region though. Mondstat/Dragon spine, Liyue/The Chasm, Inazuma/Tsurumi island, Sumeru/Mt. Damavand/Eternal Oasis (not sure if there's one in Fontaine) and Natlan/The Night Kingdom. I highly doubt the unknown god would sit by if the sky was broken *and* having a mass invasion with Natlan barely surviving until Xilonen got her ancient name. Plus the Leylines are in disarray still with Mavuika and Traveller going into The Night Kingdom, it might work if they leave and come back to see a nail destroying an area of Natlan, though that may not happen or happen later in the game
Hi I finished the new archon quest about an hour ago and i gotta say DAAAAMMMMN YOU ARE GOOD!🎉 you are the best when it comes to theories and a lot of what you say either comes true or is pretty close🤩 Thank you aloooot . Keep up the good work. I can't wait for your next video❤

OMG Irmin being a role instead of someone's name theory makes so much sense now. If Irmin is just someone that can learn the origin of words to create worlds, that makes an Irmin an origin god. AND GENSHIN in Chinese means Original God!!! Genshin == Irmin! The answer was in the title the whole time!
Ngl, I think I might need a fanfic where either the Traveler, or Ashikai herself or just someone who plays the game and watches big lore theory videos like this one who would have been brought to Teyvat, would explain all these truth bombs to the Archons, Neuvilette, and other important people (Kaeya, Albedo, Alice if they do get a grasp of her somehow) so that they can know better and accelerate the preparations to go full war against Celestia. Though the explanation would have to be in the perspective of what can be understood in the video game (which is a concept that I think wouldn't be forbidden knowledge as the technology could at some point reach it with enough time, seeing how Fontaine, Natlan and Sumeru are advanced in their own way regarding technology) so that it doesn't get treated as forbidden knowledge (like how Wanderer's story as been saved by an indirect mean) Also, I think that this is for now the video of Ashikai with the biggest list of lore points and topics, and I can't not applaud on that👏, but somehow I'm not that surprised. I mean, with each new lore and region drops in-game, sure, there's always more to build upon, but we could always think that sometimes, there would be some moment when what would be put to light would be something on the levels that were already achieved, but nope! The lore is always progressing 2 steps ahead.
Crazy theory , what if all the nails where originally supposed to be glowing gold but with phanes being offline, they all are on stand by mode? And in the end the only way to fix natlan’s problem with the abyss , is that traveler has to take phanes place and assume ownership of the natlan celestial nail, powering it with his own will so that natlan will be protected from the abyss as long as traveler remains alive, because his will would be linked to the nail
Your channel helps me understand a lot of things in Genshin and I’m only halfway (ish) through the video but I just have to comment that every time-no matter what I see something like this in-that I see anything referred to as a “sea of wells” or in the case of Celtic Mythology and the Sí/Sidhe hills being different portals to different realms all I picture is the scene from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew where the two main characters stand in a forest of pools that lead to different worlds in various stages of creation and/or destruction.
I just realised that Liyue has the least connections to Celestia and the Abyss on the surface yet seems to have the most connections. I wonder what's Grandpa's hiding....... Monstadt: Venti and Istaroth, Durin and Rhinedottir, the Hexenzirkel, the Celestia nail on dragonspine, etc Inazuma: Makoto, the tree and Istaroth, Enkanomiya and Orobashi etc Sumeru: Rukkhadevata and Irminsul (The World Tree), King Deshret, Malibu Kaka and the Forbidden Knowledge, etc Fontaine: The prophecy by Celestia, Elynas, the Primodial Sea, etc Natlan: The literal abyss, the Shade of Death, etc While Liyue, the oldest country that still exists: a second generation dragon and the Chasm with the Abyss and a Celestial nail only? Damn I was expecting more..........
I think besides that its the nation that doesn't have celestial creatures that came to it or have any significant lore that said they helped or smth... what I mean is like the shade of time being present in both Monstadt and Inazuma lore, basically helping them, Fontaine having the Shade of Life create the first archon, and now Natlan with the Shade of Death creating the Ode of Resurrection, Sumeru is tricky since the closest I can think of is Nabu who is a seelie or that one time where they wanted to hand Deshret the gnosis but he refused... yet I don't think Liyue has any interference from Celestia besides the nail which is in every nation...(Unless I'm missing something)... Also, another thing is the word "Tian" like all over Liyue (NanTIANmen, Mt. TIANheng, even the Qixing titles, etc.), which means Heaven or Sky in translations... even the Heavenly Principles in CN is called Tianli... then there's Perinheri calling out that Deus Auri defeated TIANwang... Sidenote: like srly it meant Heavenly King... they could've just given it a random title that involved the sea considering Liyue's main foe are sea gods... yet they went for Heavenly King...
@@deannerodriguez2208 Agreed. Don't forget that unlike in EN, CN's Zhongli's Burst voicelines include (Forgive my translations): 天动万象 (Heaven changes(?) ten thousand/everything sights/shapes(?)),此乃天道 (this is the Heaven Dao) and 天理长驱 (Heavenly Principles/Heaven's Order will guide you(???)). This just shows Zhongli's strong connections with the Heavenly Principles (could be reverence, could be fear, or even belittling Celestia(idk why that thought came to my head)), which doesn't make sense why there isn't any sign of shades or Celestia traces. Also, although the Heavenly King or 天王 Tian Wang in Perinheri's story might just be a normal demon god, whose name was crowned by Perinheri's people, that was defeated by Morax during the archon war because during the Archon War, other than the main enemies from the ocean, Liyue also had many demon gods in land from Qingxu Pool to current Qingce village, Yilong Wharf (the demon god that Fujin and other Chenyu Vale adepti were under) to Luhua Pool. Also just a side side theory, from what I've gathered, I think my original theory that Natlan had the most demon gods and battles during the Archon War, but after 5.0 and 5.1, Natlan can't have much demon gods especially when there's not a lot of leylines and abyssal influence since the times of the dragons, therefore, the worst battles during the archon war with the most demon gods would have been Liyue because theoretically speaking, Mondstadt based on lore had the least, Inazuma might as much as Liyue but they could have mostly been oceanic gods in search of larger territory and preferred the vast lands of Liyue so they COULD (there definitely were many left else ei would still at least have a friend left even if the Khaenri'ah disaster was terrible) have went to Liyue to battle for land instead of the Inazuma islands. Sumeru had three main gods ruling so it might not be as bad, and Fontaine......seriously how is any demon god there able to defeat a being created by the shade of life from the Primodial Sea? Feel free to point out any issues because I'm still learning more about the genshin world and exploring (There's more story to theorise than WuWa (I play wuwa for the gameplay while I play Genshin for LOREEEE)), because in the end, THAT'S JUST A THEORY A GA----GENSHIN THEORY!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@acelim6259 Gods I missed MatPat even though I'm not a fan of his first two genshin theories (Cuz of some misconceptions he may thought was true at the time)...But yeah, Zhongli's CN skill texts has a lot hidden within in the CN... tbh it would've been better if they kept it in english... I do think it can connect to why no shade came to Liyue cuz Zhongli (if he is a Celestial being) is already there to look after it... why become an archon tho? Not so sure... For the Tianwang part, true that maybe it is just another god but with all of this odd connection to Celestia that Zhongli has, who knows if its another piece... with all of this odd details to Zhongli (Only archon statue holding a cube, cube visions, cube oculi. Only archon to use a rock than flower ascention material so far. One of two playable characters' cons name to not match their SQ titles, etc. etc.) its hard to say, like hell that Sun relation theory just keeps getting stronger... a god that is sharing the same name as the Heavenly Principles may not be so far fetch. Srly... Zhongli is a bag full of mystery and I love it! Also, I am speculating here but i think Liyue has the most gods during the Archon War, mainly cuz of the 5 Yakshas suffering from karmic debt... I get Liyue is probably the only nation that has some cleaning crew (as I see it) but its an indication of how bad it is... and we've seen what god remains can do yet even without a cleaning crew in other nations there doesn't seem to be god remains anywhere else (Active god remains, Orobashi's remains are there yet we don't see it having any influence on the surrounding area besides Ei's own powers...) just speculations tho... don't take my word for it... Btw does Egeria ever given any feats? So far from what I've read she apparently died due to the abyss in Sumeru... I'm not very familiar in that lore tho, haven't seen it in a while... besides that I don't think they've named a god she defeated... from what i can remember anyways... most are Neuvi's defeated gods...
@@deannerodriguez2208 I agree with everything you said, (even about MatPat’s genshin videos cuz I think it was quite early so many things were unclear). Oh and there I was wondering why other nations never really had to deal with the karma/leftover hatred of demon gods (魔神怨念/残渣) and after taking a look at the topography of Liyue mountains, it kinda looks like there was so much conflicts that some areas that might have been mountainous seemed to be flattened or created suddenly most likely by Zhongli. But, It is also possible that there are actually way more demon gods sealed by Zhongli other than Osial or at least what’s left of them (I theorised that Cuijue Slope and the nine pillars not only MIGHT have a connection to Celestia (just a small possibility)), but most importantly possibly seemed to be where a lot of demon gods were sealed, maybe not physically, but their collective presence and negative emotions are so strong that they affected the surrounding atmosphere (making them one of the few places that change from the normal weather). Now that I think about it, with such a large amount of demon gods sealed and also definitely a lot of dead demon gods, the total amount of karma and influence on the land would definitely be catastrophic. No wonder the yakshas’ karmic debt were so deadly. Even with the adepti and two demon gods and a second generation dragon, I can see why even if they were the strongest force on land in Teyvat in that time, so many of them still lost their lives.(cut to pun_rii’s comic with Zhongli shouting )😭😭GUIZHONG!!!😭😭 Still shows Zhongli’s strength being (pretty much (too many types of op ability users in Teyvat)) unrivalled under Celestia Also, there aren’t really any writings on her during the Archon War therefore there’s still a lot not known about Egeria so we’ll just have to wait. Or it might end up unanswered…….
The angel of the night kingdom was talking in dialogue with the traveler and mentions some by the title The almighty then she sighs and corrects herself saying the heavenly principles all the lore we get in 5.1 is crazy 😮
cooked again I like that this gives better context to why Piamon looks similar to the Sustainer of Heavinly Principles. She being the only active Seele left in Teyvat and awoken from stasis waiting for a "Decender".
The primordial one has long shaved off shards of himself and descended to the mortal realm, and the throne of heaven is left empty. What is left of him is known as zhongli. This is lore from the future. Great video ashikai

@@shirlette8935 An "Adeptus'' is already a BIG word because they are supposed to understand the real rules of the world to be able to cultivate and ascend to immortality, and Zhongli is literally the Forebearer of this faction, immortals, it's just that the ENG localization and lack of cultural nuance waters it down.
40:47 In my recent studies I have also researched about the world egg, through this concept the author Herman Hesse says the following "The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God." This quote is really similar to the role of the Irmin, who wants to reshape and reaweave the fate of the world. As you said in your video, "the one who controls fate controls the world" and in the book "Demian" by Hesse its main protgonist Sinclair, after attaining true control over his self or his fate, gets to finally shape the world around him. This is the same as the Irmin, but one key factor that shapes Sinclair in the book is his determination for his cause, which could be also interpreted as his will, just as how he needed to have the will to control the world so do the Irmin to reweave fate. I know I kinda rambled a lot here but I found it really interesting how this gme ties up to so many cultural references and philosophical concepts. I could also relate how "the bird flies to god" which could represent hwo the Irmin try to achieve a sort of god-like status, but im not to sure about that.
Relating this video to another lore/theory video by Genshin Bane about the Genshin storyline being predicted by the Gasparov vs Blue chess games, he mentions that all the archons are the 'Kings' on their own boards. The fact that you have mentioned Irmin in context to Zhongli, makes me thing that all the archons are given the 'King' Position in their own boards (let's not think about the fact that Zhongli is the Rook piece). But oh my gods I absolutely love your videos and consume all the lore that I can. Joined genshin just for that lol. Thankyou so much for compiling so so so much data in a coherent form (that makes my head spin all the damn time)
Despite already knowing the Khaenri'ahs are Nordic inspired, this video made it clicked for me on why Natlan is becoming a heavy Khaenri'ah's plot line given the historical relationship the Nordic's had with the indigenous people of so called America's. Genshin has it faults, but the depth of research that went into connecting the fantasy world to actual cultural events is impressive especially for information coming from Closed Cultures (a.k.a. 'forbidden knowledge' :p). The storyline is shaping out to be the classic theme of old gods vs the new gnostic god.
45:15 every time I see this statue I remember of a YoRHa "black box" from Nier Automata and think if he want to explode it via Black Box annihilation... he just need to have one 2B unit around...
Watching this vid after doing 5.1 archon quest makes me feel a lil bad after ashikai cause she released a 45 min video just for 5.1 to give her like a week worth of homework😅
Linguistics major here. One of my professors lived with indigenous tribes in Central America, which I believe greatly shaped her world view and class curriculums. One thing she would always emphasize is that words “carve out pieces of reality.” Seems to tie in nicely with some of the things you said
When I first saw the tree symbol referred to as the world formula I had a theory that each of the archons plus a few major figures can be placed into spots on the symbol, let's start from the top and go down. I'm also going to tie the sovereigns into places where they likely originally went since they'ed likely have been similar albeit the 8 dragon kings we have leaves 2 gaps(3 with da'at (which convinently fits our 3 moons) Keter, Crown, I believe this belongs to non other then the heavenly principles/whoever's in charge of celestia (I'm currently a believer of the 2nd Descender betrayed the 1st(phanes) and took the throne In the heavens/genesis pearl), Dragon king nibelung Chokhmah, wisdom, as that single word description makes it quite obvious Irminsul/Nahida/Erased holds this position in the formula, the dendro dragon as the most likely originally position holder Binah, Understanding, originally I believed Zhongli to hold this position but i now believe Venti To most likely hold this possession whilst Zhongli represents the sphere of Yesod (Foundation) especially with the chess pieces. Aneno sovereign(though i could see pyro actually being here due to phlogiston being the original form of the 7 teyvat elements) Chesed, Mercy, whilst the Hebrew god name tied to this sphere is Ei I don't believe the electro archon to hold this position instead I believe the Cryo archon to represent this even if her love has long turned cold, Cryo Sovereign Da'at, not traditionally counted as a sphere and usually seen as the abyss between the lower parts of the tree and the top parts along with supposedly allowing one to access all the other spheres at the same time, as the name suggests I believe that the primary candidate for this sphere is the abyss itself/the sinner, but the secondary candidate I have for this Sphere is Actually the Shade of Death (originally I didn't include the shades in my assignments), and the third candidate is the abyss sibling, Abyss Moon Gevurah severity and judgment, hydro archon and dragon without question Tiferet, beauty, whilst I originally belived the Cryo archon to be here I now believe the shade of life to be here, and in the original world on of the 3 moons. Netzach, Victory, pyro archon and dragon most likely (Victory by defeating the abyss or by intermingling with humans for each holder) Hod, Glory, whilst I could tie Raiden to this I actually believe this position belongs to the shade of space(Sustainer of Heavenly Principles) but pyro could just as easily fit here, and for the time of Dragons I believe the 3rd moon maiden to fit Here. Yesod, foundation, Zhongli And Geo Sovereign. Malkuth, Meaning Kingdom, becomes the keters will for lower levels of the divine plan, I believe this is the level of mortals but more specifically Us And as a final note I will admit that the version on the mysterious page is different to the real life symbol with 12 visible spheres and 13 potential spears instead of 10+1 hidden sphere but that just means theirs more Spheres then in the real world (though I do believe their positions are definitely different From the originals Specifically with the version we see in game i belive the distribution to likely be something like 7 elements and 1 Crown for 8+ 4 shades for the current world and for the old world 8 dragons 3 moon sisters and one Abyss
Yes!! Finally the reference of the Egg!! It has always intrigued me so much ever since I learned about the Gnostic myths- Neuvillette also mentioned this "Egg" reference in his teapot chat at Friendship lvl.10 that *He(Neuvillette) will be there to help Traveller when he finally breaks the egg shell* does that means.. traveller is actually the next reincarnation of nibeulung? Or the next ruler of the Heavens? (The one dragon's wanted) Also so finally put the end to the "Incomplete God" who used borrowed powers of dragons and shades rather than his own- which is erily similar to Demiurge, like everyone theorized to be! (Im not the only one lol) And about Zhongli? He could literally being trying to be the one who wanted ro become like the Heavenly Principles himself- And Like you said! *Zhongli and Guizhong's* relationship is eerily similar to *Deshrest and Nabu Malikata* ! Could the later be former's next avatar in the nexr Samsara Cycle? Considering Zhongli is very old and all, plus it looks like as if he deleted his history of being called as *Dues Ari* the God Of Gold and bacame *Rex Lapis, The God Of Contracts* (That's just a crack theory Tho!) Maybe thats why Zhongli was imposed with "Erosion" by the Heavenly principles.. why? Is it because he had managed to gain influence and power that even the Heavenly Principle got their boots shaking? - perhaps? After all that person is derived adfer Demiurge, so its no surprising!- even Gods cannot or should not surpass them. Its very interesting all the same!! **NOTES & CORRECTIONS**
- In acts 3&4 the Lord of the Night says that PO created the elements from Phlogiston so they could counter the abyss which is a bit of a paradoxical statement with the way it's phrased.

She also decides where to go - Paimon is what stops us from leaving the map.

Big brain moment
The God King Video really helps with this confusion. It's one of, if not my favorite Ashikai video. So much lore and symbolism that makes sense.

"paimon unknowingly is dictating the travelers fate" considering how she basically makes all story decision for us and is basically our voice, that makes a lot of sense. Dialogue options don't matter, paimon always ends up making every decision for us.
She also decides where to go - Paimon is what stops us from leaving the map.
If you haven't noticed. Each dialogue choice is one giant sentence. Each answer is a continuation of the sentence. Not a choice.

this got me thinking
when you said "The word of god is order"
It made me realize only the Traveler names out their burst/skill
every other character i know or at least remember has a war cry (atk voicelines) that links to their ambition
Sucrose names her skill & burst too, "anemo test 6308", or "enhanced anemo module 75"
@@alexprus7953 ohhyeeeee
But what I mean is traveler does a command specifically to manifest their powers
@@alexprus7953 this is interesting because Sucrose is utilizing a failed alchemical experiment as a weapon. She's not simply using elemental energy with her attacks like most of the other characters, she's literally doing combat alchemy.
@@kyoken8691 now that you mentioned it
That would mean her anemo powers are weaker than the other anemo users we've seen, she only uses her anemo on normal and charged attack her skill and burst are her alchemical products
Zhongli's in game kit is fun to look at in terms of his lore implications too:
Skill is a stone pillar that creates a shield and resonates with other pillars/constructs.
Wow, yes
His Pillar wiill resonate with Any Geo Construct. Enemy Enemy Constructs as well. 😊
That's a big stretch tbh
@@pre-violetmelain2984 i mean it iiiiis a theory~ the whole point is a stretch. you're free to have your own opinion :)
Both Zhongli and Venti
I see you've noticed how Kaveh's design is mimicking the alchemic transumation (or genshin's version where rubedo and citrinnas are swapped) due to you showing him everytime you mention alchemy. It keeps me up at night
If I'm understanding this, you mean how his design goes:
Blond hair
^
Red cape
^
White shirt
^
Black trousers?
That's really interesting. Huh.
@bookswithike3256 it might be reading too much into it, of course. But I'm a believer that Kaveh is sus as all hell
Another notion (very much a stretch haha) i entertained is that his clips, X I X I is probably referring to the descenders X meaning who lost their power/authority/role (idk the terms sorry) in descenderhood
canonically, the first one lost the war and the third one is dead. we don't know the fate of the second one and then theres traveller
But i have nothing for this haha
She also decides where to go - Paimon is what stops us from leaving the map.
It's really funny to me that whilst he wasn't the main focus of the video, the longer this game goes on the more everyone finds themselves asking "What's the deal with Zhongli?"
uuh, when you talked about Paimon and that she is something like a seelie to the traveler and dictates his fate, I immediately had the words in my mind from
SPOILER Archonstory 5.1 SPOILER
the "Pilgrim's Chronicle". It says:
"The star that transcends destiny and the greatest companion. "
you know what would be crazy. Zhongli being a creation from the union of a Shining Shade and a Dragon Sovereign
Which would be the only logical way to explain how he always finds himself in the intersection between these two opposing factions.
Seeing how much connection to norse mythology here, I won't be surprised if Genshin's end would be a Ragnarok of some kind

That explains why Paimon talks over the Traveller all the time and is bossing them around! She's their little fate! 😮
Then the name 'Abyss Order' having deeper meaning. Which likely to give order or commanding abyss element.

What is interesting is that this untreated data seems to behave like emptiness :
When Caribert tries to take his mask off, his face should show up but we know that Hilichurls "don't have a face".

Capitano who was from Khaenri'ah but was currently in Natlan. The abyss invaded on a massive scale starting all out war. The traveller who is collecting the elements, only needing Pyro and Cryo now. And the greatest secret being shown; the fake sky being broken and revealed
what if Celestia notices everything, or at least the abyss and the broken sky which was hidden by The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles and just, drops a nail on Natlan.

Though the explanation would have to be in the perspective of what can be understood in the video game (which is a concept that I think wouldn't be forbidden knowledge as the technology could at some point reach it with enough time, seeing how Fontaine, Natlan and Sumeru are advanced in their own way regarding technology) so that it doesn't get treated as forbidden knowledge (like how Wanderer's story as been saved by an indirect mean)
Also, I think that this is for now the video of Ashikai with the biggest list of lore points and topics, and I can't not applaud on that👏, but somehow I'm not that surprised.
And in the end the only way to fix natlan’s problem with the abyss , is that traveler has to take phanes place and assume ownership of the natlan celestial nail, powering it with his own will so that natlan will be protected from the abyss as long as traveler remains alive, because his will would be linked to the nail
i love when genshin happens and the characters nose be like : dbdbdbdbdbdb
i am dying for a video on the new natlan 5.1 archon quest theres so much lore its breaking my brain
"wanna see a magic trick?" gets hit with an ad right when said. 😭
I CANNOT WAIT for your video about 5.1 cause oooooohhhhhh boiiiiiiii, we've got some LORE
I have never been invested more to an ad section than the actual video cuz DEM DOGGOS ARE SOOO FRWKING CUTEE
i really wanna see what your Genshin notes look like 😂 must be a whole library at this point
I just realised that Liyue has the least connections to Celestia and the Abyss on the surface yet seems to have the most connections. I wonder what's Grandpa's hiding.......
Monstadt: Venti and Istaroth, Durin and Rhinedottir, the Hexenzirkel, the Celestia nail on dragonspine, etc
Inazuma: Makoto, the tree and Istaroth, Enkanomiya and Orobashi etc
Sumeru: Rukkhadevata and Irminsul (The World Tree), King Deshret, Malibu Kaka and the Forbidden Knowledge, etc
Fontaine: The prophecy by Celestia, Elynas, the Primodial Sea, etc
Natlan: The literal abyss, the Shade of Death, etc
While Liyue, the oldest country that still exists: a second generation dragon and the Chasm with the Abyss and a Celestial nail only?
Even with the adepti and two demon gods and a second generation dragon, I can see why even if they were the strongest force on land in Teyvat in that time, so many of them still lost their lives.(cut to pun_rii’s comic with Zhongli shouting )😭😭GUIZHONG!!!😭😭
Still shows Zhongli’s strength being (pretty much (too many types of op ability users in Teyvat)) unrivalled under Celestia
Also, there aren’t really any writings on her during the Archon War therefore there’s still a lot not known about Egeria so we’ll just have to wait. Or it might end up unanswered…….
@@acelim6259 Azhdaha isn't a second gen dragon. He's older than Teyvat
haven't even started the Natlan archon quest, but watching this video seems like a good idea
The angel of the night kingdom was talking in dialogue with the traveler and mentions some by the title The almighty then she sighs and corrects herself saying the heavenly principles all the lore we get in 5.1 is crazy 😮
Dw she's just in the Inazuma arc and was about to say "The all mighty raiden shogun and the musou no hitotachi"
I finished the Archon Quest and I can’t wait for Ashikai to finish the Archon Quest too 😭 The lore bombs are insane
cooked again I like that this gives better context to why Piamon looks similar to the Sustainer of Heavinly Principles. She being the only active Seele left in Teyvat and awoken from stasis waiting for a "Decender".
Ashikai's back with the tea! Love this! ❤
Your dogs are so pretty! It's made the sponsoring bit 10 times more interesting
The primordial one has long shaved off shards of himself and descended to the mortal realm, and the throne of heaven is left empty.
What is left of him is known as zhongli. This is lore from the future.
Great video ashikai
I don’t think Zhongli is part of the primordial one. I think he is some how part of the OGs dragons
He would do more than being a human tho
@@pre-violetmelain2984 Zhongli is called the god of mankind in CN. He may be related to The PO
Thanks for the lore wake up call ❤ it's always a good day to wake up to your theories
FINALLY SOMEONE COMMENTING ON THE WAYOBS SHAPES AS SOON AS I SAW ONE IN GAME I WAS LIKE UMMMMMMM NAIL????? I SMELL A NAIL???? ARE THE WAYOBS SECRETLY CELESITA NAILS??? the answer is no but the connection is there and i cant wait to find the celestial nail in natlan. my bet is still its in the night kingdom
Zhongli....the very first alchimist ? ( He makes gold)
well technically should be since he's the "First" Adeptus.
And Mora makes alchemy possible since it has magical properties.
@@citoyenneteavanttout7273
Hmmm ... I think He's more than an adeptus...😏
@@citoyenneteavanttout7273
Oh ok ! Thank you very much for these détails ( that I have totally forgotten)!😃👍
You are such a fantastic orator. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
This is very well written and well done!
My brain becomes primordial soup after these videos
37:24 Eternal Sleep? Eternel Slumber? DESHRET MENTIONED
Thankyou so much for compiling so so so much data in a coherent form (that makes my head spin all the damn time)
Now, I can't wait for your theory vids for 5.1
Yanfei fits you so well it just feels right seeing her as you go off about things i dont understand 😂
I LOVE that you're dropping this during downtime, perfect thing to watch while waiting for the new patch!
I love this. I'm subscribing, and the best part is the voice is nice too
5:16 Mihoyo is good at four shadowing
34:50 this is actually adorable
Watching this vid after doing 5.1 archon quest makes me feel a lil bad after ashikai cause she released a 45 min video just for 5.1 to give her like a week worth of homework😅
I can’t wait for you to talk about the recent quest heheeheheheheheh
I'm learning.
I'm also going to tie the sovereigns into places where they likely originally went since they'ed likely have been similar albeit the 8 dragon kings we have leaves 2 gaps(3 with da'at (which convinently fits our 3 moons)
Keter, Crown, I believe this belongs to non other then the heavenly principles/whoever's in charge of celestia (I'm currently a believer of the 2nd Descender betrayed the 1st(phanes) and took the throne In the heavens/genesis pearl), Dragon king nibelung
Chokhmah, wisdom, as that single word description makes it quite obvious Irminsul/Nahida/Erased holds this position in the formula, the dendro dragon as the most likely originally position holder
Binah, Understanding, originally I believed Zhongli to hold this position but i now believe Venti To most likely hold this possession whilst Zhongli represents the sphere of Yesod (Foundation) especially with the chess pieces.
Aneno sovereign(though i could see pyro actually being here due to phlogiston being the original form of the 7 teyvat elements)
Chesed, Mercy, whilst the Hebrew god name tied to this sphere is Ei I don't believe the electro archon to hold this position instead I believe the Cryo archon to represent this even if her love has long turned cold, Cryo Sovereign
Da'at, not traditionally counted as a sphere and usually seen as the abyss between the lower parts of the tree and the top parts along with supposedly allowing one to access all the other spheres at the same time, as the name suggests I believe that the primary candidate for this sphere is the abyss itself/the sinner, but the secondary candidate I have for this Sphere is Actually the Shade of Death (originally I didn't include the shades in my assignments), and the third candidate is the abyss sibling, Abyss Moon
Gevurah severity and judgment, hydro archon and dragon without question
Tiferet, beauty, whilst I originally belived the Cryo archon to be here I now believe the shade of life to be here, and in the original world on of the 3 moons.
Netzach, Victory, pyro archon and dragon most likely (Victory by defeating the abyss or by intermingling with humans for each holder)
Hod, Glory, whilst I could tie Raiden to this I actually believe this position belongs to the shade of space(Sustainer of Heavenly Principles) but pyro could just as easily fit here, and for the time of Dragons I believe the 3rd moon maiden to fit Here.
Yesod, foundation, Zhongli And Geo Sovereign.
Malkuth, Meaning Kingdom, becomes the keters will for lower levels of the divine plan, I believe this is the level of mortals but more specifically Us
And as a final note I will admit that the version on the mysterious page is different to the real life symbol with 12 visible spheres and 13 potential spears instead of 10+1 hidden sphere but that just means theirs more Spheres then in the real world (though I do believe their positions are definitely different From the originals
Specifically with the version we see in game i belive the distribution to likely be something like 7 elements and 1 Crown for 8+ 4 shades for the current world and for the old world 8 dragons 3 moon sisters and one Abyss
Ashikai is my glorious theory chef
The way the abyss is primordial chaos is scary
I zoned out somewhere in the middle and was brought back by ashikai dropping bombs after bombs of lore like she was klee
Yes!! Finally the reference of the Egg!! It has always intrigued me so much ever since I learned about the Gnostic myths-
Neuvillette also mentioned this "Egg" reference in his teapot chat at Friendship lvl.10 that *He(Neuvillette) will be there to help Traveller when he finally breaks the egg shell* does that means.. traveller is actually the next reincarnation of nibeulung? Or the next ruler of the Heavens? (The one dragon's wanted) Also so finally put the end to the "Incomplete God" who used borrowed powers of dragons and shades rather than his own- which is erily similar to Demiurge, like everyone theorized to be! (Im not the only one lol)
And about Zhongli? He could literally being trying to be the one who wanted ro become like the Heavenly Principles himself-
And Like you said! *Zhongli and Guizhong's* relationship is eerily similar to *Deshrest and Nabu Malikata* ! Could the later be former's next avatar in the nexr Samsara Cycle? Considering Zhongli is very old and all, plus it looks like as if he deleted his history of being called as *Dues Ari* the God Of Gold and bacame *Rex Lapis, The God Of Contracts*
(That's just a crack theory Tho!)
Maybe thats why Zhongli was imposed with "Erosion" by the Heavenly principles.. why? Is it because he had managed to gain influence and power that even the Heavenly Principle got their boots shaking? - perhaps? After all that person is derived adfer Demiurge, so its no surprising!- even Gods cannot or should not surpass them.
Its very interesting all the same!! Im EXTREMELY CURIOUS ABOUT YOU NEXT UPCOMING VIDEO ONCE YOU COMPLETED THE AQ5.1 THE LORE BOMB RHAT DROPED WAS INSANE!!!!! AHHHH! CANT WAIT FOR YOUR VIDEO ASHIKAI!! IM GONNA DIE BEFORE THAT....😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
THE NEW ARCHON QUEST WAS AMAZING
Since we're talking about hypostases, do you think Kinich's projectile which looks kinda like a mini hypostasis has any special meaning?
