I’d love to hear him in a full conversation like an interview instead of fragments. When he’s giving us these fragments his pronunciation is great but I wonder if his prosody changes when he has to react to others speaking German.
Usually when people move away from a country at a young age they develop an accent. But he didn’t. Gotta give it to him, his German is better than mine and I speak it all day, every day😂
I find it interesting that his voice sounds slightly different when he speaks German. I'm German but I love to listen and write in English more. It's easier. In German, you have to look out for so many things for example gender (I mean in context with jobs, etc.), article (der, die, das = the), etc. I don't know how my speaking in English is since I don't talk much in English. But it should still be good that I could have an everyday conversation. Maybe when the other person is talking slowly or at least clearly. :D
Afrikaans derrives mostly from early Dutch settlers so that's not surprising. German and Dutch are both West Germanic languages, so lots of similarities there.
I would love to hear more of it 😂 well, I mean he’s a native speaker 🙈 Greetings from Frankfurt 🥰
In the North, we say Moin day or night. It's does not mean good morning... Which is how you can always tell if someone is not from the north if their response is Good morning...even if it's late afternoon.
This was not in my subscription section :O and i've not seen this until now. How cool is that xD. Thanks for that. Of course i love that, as a german =). This could go on for hours. I want more ;).
This needed to be longer. I could listen to peter speak German all day 😍
Hell, all he has to do is stand there. He ain’t got to say a word…

OMG! "Lecker" is like my language, Afrikaans' "Lekker"
Same in dutch as well

I wonder if Mariska would do Hungarian slang on UA-cam

So german is my first language and i love this 😂❤
I didn't know him at all until now, but that's funny for me as a German too😁
added info: first one is only used in the north ;-) I love this though. His German is impeccable. I bet his parents have raised him bilingually.
Well translated 👍 the german sounds very good 👍👏 both languages come across fantastic. You don't find that often. Servus 🙋♀️

he forgot Schweinehund
So Peter is lecker...
Lekker in Dutch...the same "delicious".
The background is not typical for Germany as Germany is not Bavaria!
Mmm lecker 🔥🔥🔥
Right of the bat the first word is wrong.
Um gottes willen!
