Also the green Thomas' face is ripped right off the Plarail Thomas from Japan. The Plarail Thomas actually has a white running board though.

The spring in the first reviewed toy kind of reminds me of the Matchbox Motorway from 1969. It used some kind of springy object to move the cars. The cars had little pins that held them in place. The spring or springs were controlled by cogs from powerhouses that look like buildings connected to a transformer.
I was surfing amazon looking at train stuff, and one of those green Thomas sets came up, but Thomas was red and it came with a gray Clarabel. Anyway, nice to see another dark side episode. I'm a big fan of these episodes and some of the components in these are actually pretty cool like that spring on the roller coaster.

Considering how popular your channel is in the Thomas community and many videos like this being so memorable and iconic to fans like me, I actually wouldn't be too surprised if Mattel took inspiration from the knockoff Green Thomas featured here for his LBSC 70 Green and White livery. Mattel interacts quite a bit with the community, so it'd be interesting. If only you could go back to this old format, but unfortunately modern day UA-cam doesn't allow such things.

The picture on the tag of that backpack is actually a DVD cover, weird. Really entertaining video, I think there might be more knock off products than real ones!

I am noticing the dark side stuff starting to filter into the Westfield shopping centres more and more. It's very nasty to see this going on.

The green Thomas has the face of the first generation Japanese plarail thomas. (Around 2002 through 2017) it also has the same face as the 2003, 2004, 2005, tomy Thomas that came with sets. It had a white running plate, paint on the fake front coupling, and white behind the eyes. There was one in your 1 hour collecting video. I think the 12th collecting video but I’m not sure.
To be honest, that green Thomas actually has a design choice that I wish the real Thomas’s had. That connecting rod looks so much better than the one the current Thomas’s have. If Tomy and Mattel used that style of connecting rod, I’m sure it would have added to the look of the trains. Plus they would have made it much safer for kids since technically the connecting rod design on the current Thomas’s can actually come off fairly easily in some cases. Which is more of a choking hazard. :/
I actually used to have a big loader set! And of course it was a Tomy one, but the fact of the matter is was that I had one and just now realize how rare it really is and it just really, really shocks me that I had one when I was little. I actually remember clear as day my grandfather and my dad fixing the little motorized truck that moved the trains around the set. I think they were fixing the gears or one of the gears. I don't really remember that much about it though just them working on it.
