Men, please notices and understand what she meant by “my physical or my general” type of guy 6:40 Basically, you want to be the guy she is physically/sexually attracted to and not the beta male bf or husband type of guy to marry.
Sawasdee khrap Palm 🙏. I can only speak for myself, but the reason I am moving to Thailand is because after many years of working incredibly hard I look forward to spending my remaining years (I’m 47 now) in a much more peaceful country with a strong, positive culture which I do not feel we have in the UK. Obviously beautiful women are a bonus but there are many, many more attractions to Thailand than that, the people in general are fantastic, the temples, the weather, the food, the cost of living, the list is almost endless.
Take your time to acclimate. The culture is so much different than western. It takes much time to learn how to communicate well. And there's countless "norms" in Thailand to learn. When I first arrived, it seemed like Thai people were all very similar, but the more you get to know them, the more varied in personality you'll discover, The Thai's are a diverse people, with some very "westernized" while others are very traditional in thinking, and everything in-between. I have spent about a year here, visiting for 2-3 months at a time, and learn something new about the people every day. All-in-all, they're a delightful people with a conspicuous absence of negativity or depression-like symptoms and generally very friendly and genuine.
@ many thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I’ll be acclimating slowly with trips in January and April, and then a 2/3 month stay a little later in the year to confirm that it is for me. I have been learning to speak Thai for four months so have the very basics there and will continue with lessons for some time. It is such a beautiful country and I agree about the different culture, but that is a huge attraction for me personally I love Thai culture. Thanks again buddy 🙏
@@JasonS-n5d You're doing it right = a smooth transition. Learning Thai and doing some initially-short visits is a great plan. There's plenty of frustrations associated with relocating to a very different country, but IMO the benefits far outweigh any downside. And with the recent election results in the USA, I'm glad to be out of the country for an extended period. GL on your travels!
In my opinion right now is a golden opportunity for Thai lady to meet good value western man. In the last 10-15 years the culture in the west has changed significantly towards women being less family oriented. This means there is a lot of mid to high value men that look for family oriented women outside of their own country right now.
Thank you so much for the generous Super Thanks! 💖 I’ll be sure to share it with Dada too. 😊 Thanks for always supporting and adding joy to what we do. Have a fantastic day! 🎉
Hey loved this video guys. I recently visited Thailand (Bangkok & Pattaya) for the 1st time ever for a week and must say it was the best week of my life. Will visit Phuket the next time. Beautiful country with lovely people like both of you ❤️🙏
You ladies have a great friendship! I am an American woman living in Bangkok. I am dating a Thai man. I like to hear the Thai perspective. Thank you for your content 🧡
My Thai girlfriend. She's 50. I'm 60. She wants to get married. She's a nurse and then wants to retire at 55. I say keep working because she has no social security and doesn't get paid anything. If she retires that young wants to live off my income. I'm not rich. I have a good pension but also wants me to pay 800,000 Thai baht to her mother for a dowry which I think is ridiculous. I know it's a tradition but it's not a tradition in my country. That's like buying a wife and I refuse to purchase a wife. I told her I'd live with her and see how things go for a year, or three. I'm still not going to pay a dowry that is not a contract. That is just a tradition that I think all Thai ladies should understand us. Westerners aren't used to paying something like that and don't want to negotiate it. I'll just stay single for the rest of my life if that's the case.
Bro for that price you can get a 19 year old virgin 😂 idk why you'd marry someone that old in Thailand anyways. Thailand is perfect for old white dudes who want a hot young wife, phillipines too
800000 Bath is excactly the amount of money I need for my retirement visa. Nah, I will not marry. I can have fun without beeing married. Thai women are great in playing the long game...
@@PamanudavyI wouldn't say she's poor. I just think she makes poor judgment with money. She's been a nurse for over 25 years but as you well know they don't get paid that much and she has a lot of debt. I don't have any debt. I told her I'd pay for all the rent and utilities and food. Just pay your debt down and your needs that you're used to paying. We will talk about marriage but I'm set in my mind that I won't be paying a dowry. I'm not buying a wife. That just seems odd to me that she wants me to even do that. Her mother is a widower and already said her mother will not be giving that money back after the marriage. I guess her mother is in debt too and she's over 80 years old and has a small rice farm.
My now wife kept going about a dowry, I just told her that she was 36, with kids and no Thai men would give it to her. But I did bring her the Australia and I said the visas that I’ll have pay for is her dowry. If your girlfriend/fiancé is 50, I wouldn’t be giving her anything and especially if her mom has said she will keep the money, good call to see how it goes, but if she keeps going on about, I’d leave.
Palm, many Farang from the west have been disenchanted with the grip that Feminism has on women in the West. I am all for strong independent women. It’s something I look for! I came to Thailand because my retirement money goes wayyyyy further here, in a country that I think happens to be *a lot more enjoyable* & less stressful than the one I left. IF I happen to stumble into a decent relationship along the way with a sweetheart of a Thai lady, well then that would be good fortune, but not the primary goal. I would only enter into such a situation if it was win-win. If it never happens, I am good too. I have always enjoyed my own company, haha. I don't have the burden of worrying about '30 years from now,' so I concentrate on being happy today & every day. Happy people tend to find other happy people and then have happy times together. So while life unfolds 'in Thai time,' the bar girls here are super sweet, & gorgeous as well, as I continue to enjoy life in beautiful Thailand.

Hello, Palm! I haven't been watching your new video for a while. It's good to see that you're still doing well. I just have one question I like to hear your thoughts about it.. So, I am asian US immigrants just turned 51 years old this month. I've been working very hard in the past over 30 years in the US. I am kind of a person work always comes first. Now that I'm retired early here in Thailand, I just spend my day everyday pretty much doing nothing. I basically just eat sleep and exercise, and once in a while go out for grocery shopping. I worked for more than 30 years, but in the end I feel like I'm still back at the starting point. Luckily, I saved up little money at my last job in the past couple of years. I know this will never be enough for me to retire this early. But you know what? I just don't believe that hard work will give me security in my life anymore. So, I decided to just do whatever I want to do now, and not to worry too much about my future. So, would that make me a lazy person?? What do you think?
in Thailand for Thai women the most important the first is money in the first priority next / after is love... farang already understand this very well never mind what Thai women say , never trust 100% money its before very thing & befor love farang have to adapt to the thai culture and Thai women have to adapt for farang pocket money

There's no such thing as a leftover man because our status is based on our financials females status is based on her looks and age. An 80 year old rich man can still get with younger attractive women but an 80 year old women would be less successful
Of course, there is such thing as left over men. Not all men manged to be successful in their careers and earn a lot of money. Not everybody is a business owner, podcast bro, Amazon MBA type of guy. But even the ones who are undesirable to women in their own countries will have other reasons such as the lower cost of living, the weather, or just wanting an adventure. Especially those who are single, retired and don’t need to work. As time goes by, I can see more and more western men wanting to relocate to Thailand or other countries in SE Asia. Much of it has to do with government policies and failures, but it’s also because our societies are becoming ever more dysfunctional.
I would love to hang out with you two, you are both funny together. To answer the question I have to say NO, we are not really leftover men. Many men in the United States choose not to deal with the women due to them moving away from being traditional and maintaining natural gender roles. They could be extremely beautiful but this problem makes them unattractive to most of us. The other thing is that Thailand is just a really nice & peaceful place compared to the United States.
