This game has some mechanics bulit in to manipulate your games occasionally. There are moments in almost each game that either you/ opponent team gains advantage/ disadvantage like some magic power. We all have that moments where your player with 99 passing can’t do simple x pass, through ball over hit, 99 agility player can’t turn, players hiding behind opponents, not making runs, not tracking down opponents. Attributes get boosted or nerfed depending which team gets favored or unfavored.
@@billmurphy5604 well that is kind of obvious? If player A can catch player B.. that also means that player A can run away from player B. But I agree fully that you can just feel in the game when everything goes your way, runs, shots, passes etc
Nerfing gold cards, is also another issue. I noticed it because I was using gold neymar week in week out. Gold Neymar was never that sluggish but now I can't even use him as a sub.
Thx. Since fut is a big hobby, Always refreshing to hear someone speaking about elementary gameplay issues and not just complaining about bad walkout design, “most dead promo ever” or messi having an 98 instead of a 99.
Yeah a lot of people seem to forget the shitty gameplay and focus more on promos every day and if there is no content everyday people start complaining about how dead the game is lol the game is dead because gameplay is dead
I have 2 suggestions : 1. Combine fifa 14 and fifa 17 and make fifa 22. Just stay away from anything between 18-21. 2. Improve servers. When they get overcrowded especially on weekends, you play in slow motion.
@Alex George Well that's personal taste. But those songs gets annoying after first month so it would be fine that they add few new songs after big updates :)
My mate is in div 8/7 in rivals and doesn't relate to half of these issues. Issues become more apparent the better you are at the game which reduces the percentage of players who hate the game which is why our voice means nothing to ea sports
The skill moves issues are away more frequent when you're playing in higher divisions, although in fifa 20 it wasn't that uncommon in div 8/7 since a lot of players were getting relegated on purpose to get the objective cards easier
You know what bothers me about the “its just a game its not meant to be realistic” argument is that FIFA is a football (or soccer if you’re one of those lmao) simulator… Simulator games by definition strife to be as realistic as possible. So if EA and defenders of Fifa want this to stand they need to stop branding it as a football sim and just some any old game ffs
Yeah, saying the game isnt made to be hyper realistic has now became an excuse for absurd things happening in the game, be it voluntarily or not... A football game should try to be as close to reality while still preserving the fun "game" factor. Fifa is far from such ambition, the game feels like there s 10 layers of broken mecanics on top of each other, tweaked just enough to still be called football. I hope they drop frostbite for fifa 23 because that thing has broughtn nothing but pain
I mean it's tough to simulate a game where 11 independent individuals operate with constrained vision with a game with the player controlling all 11 with 360° vision. You know what I mean?
@@kingsley3208 Nah ofc and I get that. However, the aim should always be: to be as realistic as possible no? and I don't think FIFA is that. I'm a FIFA player through and through but I've always felt that PES just had a lil bit more realism as compared to FIFA... it just doesn't have nowhere near the fun of FUT and imo FIFA looks better but gameplay PES always had the edge for me.
1.The pace merchant glitch has to end. Fifa 21 is the 1st fifa in my 15 year playing career where I had to abuse pace to win. 2. Attackers running towards the offside line seconds before you release the through ball is preposterous.
Most of these points are the reasons why there are so many „incredible“ 14 yo kids this year. Honestly, they have 0 football knowledge but they know how to pass to the striker and do some circus moves with their fast fingers lol. Horseshit game.
@Alaa Abuseif I think I might have sounded a little toxic towards 14 yo's. The kids aren't to blame. The game is. My point was that kids of that age usually don't have that much football knowledge but they know how to abuse the ridiculous meta. I think when I was that age I didn't respect and look at football the way I do now and probably would have abused the meta as well. In the end they just wanna win a game. In a good football simulator players with good football knowledge should be superior to those with little to none. That was the point.
Fifa is becoming more autonomous every year… defensive AI has never been so strong and team press takes it to a whole new level. It blows my mind that there is literally a setting to help players passes avoid defenders… but still 5 yards passes get scuffed or over hit but 40 yard assisted passes are pinpoint. I won’t even begin to rant about skill cancels… EA need to bring back more manual orientated gameplay or we will merely be spectators in a squad battle game…
This is what ea want. Their market is kid's and beginners they don't are about people who are experienced at FIFA. More money coming in from these blind kids and beginners.
I wanted physicality to matter. If you are going to skill me death, stronger players should the ability to bump you off the ball. Or interrupt the skill move. Currently, defenders suffer from a wonky collision system, and terrible tackling mechanics.
It's funny cuz AI defense is impenetrable to skill moves. You literally cannot skill past the AI on legendary difficulty in kick off or career mode. These guys will teleport in front of the ball, make a perfect read for any skill move you do, body you when you've already gotten past them or just get an obscene speed boost when you make a nice run...
This Fifa was the first Fifa I played since 17 or 18. It felt good getting back into it but man it felt like it changed so much and in some ways not for the better. The game is so inconsistent and honestly BS that I really question why am I still playing this game. Whether something trash happens to me or my opponent I still question why did that just happen but it most cases I just try to power through and hope that I can still secure the win. I hope that slower paced players can be more viable next year because even in real life if you aren't the fastest, it can be alleviated just by good play and positioning and IQ.
Heres my thoughts. 1: the ball is NEVER free. It always has to fall to an opposing player, after corner clearance or anything. 2: if the com decides you should not have the ball for whatever reason, then the com player will automatically become superman and cover a stupid amount of ground to dispossess you no matter what. 3: if you are lucky enough to get to the ball and the com thinks otherwise then your player will just stumble over or do something ridiculous and the com will get the ball back. 4: the scripting is just mental if the com team is losing. Your players forget how to even pass 5 yards to each other. 5: keepers will ALWAYS win the second ball without exception. If it breaks loose and an aerial challenge is made the keeper will always win. 6: when playing a diagonal aerial ball to a winger in MILES of space, the com CB will just magically slide 30 yards to block the pass. There's more for sure but that's just off the top of my head as a career mode player.
I want them to add wether again, and make it so it dosent affect gameplayl... it feels like you are playing the same game EVERY game, same players, same pitch, same tactics, same wether, same lighting...
The new trailer that dropped looks like a fifa street trailer. Not one passing sequence shown. I'm very scared for fifa 22. Might only be getting worse
I'm pretty sure the reason why champs games are always at night is because of the shadows inside stadiums during the day. It's much more easier to see everything clearly if there aren't random shadows on the pitch.
They will never turn off defensive assistance because that is what bridges the skill gap from the good players to the casuals. That’s what EA don’t want sadly. God forbid we can have a game where to get good you need to actually practice. From a gutted England fan 😄 congratulations to Italy Stallion!
If you do skills like crazy your player needs to get energy drained like crazy, he should not last more than 45min. But it is hard to comment anything in this garbage of the game, I play it here and there when I am really bored or miss it.. but every time 4-5 games in I am like what am I even playing? It does not even feel like football anymore. People go to some ball rolles, spins, heal to heal straight from the kick off?? I am not even near him.. like why? What bs is that? Half of the goals are a result of something random happening, somebody doing a clear tackle yet the ball goes back to the opponent.. shot deflection turning into the best pass, doing the most random drible straight into a player and just go through him or get a pen and stupied stuff like that.
@Edo D. I respect people who use skill moves and skill moves cancels well as that takes skill but those that do skills of kick offs as if I'm going to get scared make me laugh
@@Collabcreatemarketing i dont have respect for anyone who does any skill, because that is not something that is hard to do. It is a skill or an animation made and when you do it most of the time, even if you read what he is going to do your defender will fail to take the ball because the animation of the skill needs to finish. Skill is just something to use when you dont know how to break someone down, you are not fast enought to see the open spaces etc which is what feal skill is about and real skill gap.. then you can just use some stupied skilles or dribles to get past someone and open space. Made for little kids
@@edod.1666 mate im in divison its completely impossible to beat defenders without skills. Its also not the case that you can defend skills if I stop the ball then do an elastico and you panic and try to win the ball that's your problem
@@edod.1666 It defiantly takes skill in divison 1 people read my skills and I have to be very careful and thoughtful but if I play draft or something my opponents dive in and give me easy goals so you can say skill moves don't take skill
@@Collabcreatemarketing that is where I disagree, it is much harder to beat defenders without skills because they dont get the speed boosts and stupied stuff like that. THE REAL skill is beating your opponent without any use of skills, triggering runs, spotting empty spaces and the whole passing/moving game. I am a casual player in div2 and not really trying to get to Div1. Yeah it can be hard to break someone down but I have not used skills once, all I use right analog for is first touches and stuff like that. That is not because I think its hard to press R2 two times and do some stupied skill, I just think it looks stupied and its just a cheat in my eyes. I am not saying it dont take skill to be able to press many buttons fast and do skills, but that is nothing to do with skills of football. That is someone being skilled at pressing a lot of buttons or playing Tekken, it has zero skills when looking at it from a football perspective.
Wow. This is so true. The most effective formation in the real football world right now used by the best teams in the world which is the 4-3-3 is the most useless formation in Fifa. Shocking.
Why does no one ever talk about the goalkeepers? I completely agree with your video, but the goalkeepers need some serious love in this game now. The “rival” of Fifa if you want to call it that, PES, has goalkeepers that are so much more challenging to beat than FIFA’s goalkeepers and it doesn’t take away from the gameplay in general. They are often times borderline superhuman… but you end up with scorelines of 1-0 2-1, realistic goals. In general FIFA’s gameplay has some very nice elements, it’s smooth, it looks good, the passing (apart from some broken through balls) does actually feel nice, but goalkeepers and shooting are completely ridiculous now. Cross body shots from 5 degree angles going top bins is stupid. Hitting a 3000mph volley off a driven cross from a full sprint is completely ridiculous. Goalkeepers falling over when the shot is hit straight at them is RIDICULOUS.
Yeah I agree, but I must say PES with manual passing is much more smooth than when you play with default settings. It gives a nicer flow. Every pass moves at a slightly different speed everytime because of your input, whereas assisted passing feels a bit monotone.
And about the FIFA goalkeepers.... They are ridiculous. I've watched so many FIFA videos and the keeper seems to never pick up the location of the ball very well. It seems like he's guessing where his hands should be by hearing the ball. He doesn't seem to have eyesight. They fall backwards with their hands sideways, even when it's a shot from the edge of the box. They only seem to jump sideways when the ball isn't reachable anyways.
fristly gk movement needs to be out of the game . and GK ai being dumb is an issue to an extent your mistake in defending should be punished not rewarded by an AI save , theres instances when gk makes a diabolical attempt to save the ball and theres also instances when gk saves unsaveable right after opponent made a defensive error
There is only one thing that needs to change ...and that's the Cheaters using the lag switch ....it's the cause of us thinking our game or controller is broken ..it's disgusting at this stage and angers me so much
I agree with most of what you said... 1) constant pressure is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen especially during bad gameplay in weekend league. I don't mind if they have that option, but seriously you should only be able to do it for a few mins and then it should effect your team (i.e. they get exhausted and slow down and are easier to break through). You can constant press for 70+ mins with very little consequence. 2) spot on with tackling. It's completely broken. You can win impossible tackles from behind but when you actually tackled properly, it can deflect to your opponent multiple times in around leading to goals. 3) I agree with you about canceling skills and the directional nutmeg, but I feel those skills are spammed as a symptom of the horrific offensive A.I. In division 1, it's difficult as is to break down players and yet you get no help from midfielder or attackers. Nobody moves unless you trigger it OR they make runs behind defenders instead of into space. 4) I agree on the day/night topic. The game looks better in the daytime for me, so I'd prefer atleast a 50/50 split. They seem to be trying to make FUT champs a replication of the Champions League (most games are at night) but atleast give the option to change it up. 4) rewards are terrible and need improved. Red players are almost always the worst TOTS or TOTW players and are rarely usable at the highest levels of the game. And fifa points are overpriced and never lead to anything good. In the past I've spent $500 and fifa points and it resulted in about 1million coins. You can legit buy about 7 million coins straight off websites for the same amount of $ so might as well do that.
I agree of all the things your said. 100% When playing fifa I’m not only playing my opponent, I’m also playing against the game itself. Most skills are glitches, I’m so tired of fake shot croqueta, last year was a drag back, there’s always something going.
EA should hire you. Best FIFA youtuber out there. You are here for the players. To create an immersive and fun football experience. EA says you got the job! 🙌🏼
That's exactly why EA wouldn't hire him. Because his ways are perfect for people like us but that create skill Gap and EA customer base is probably 80% beginners so having gameplay heavily assisted for those beginners clearly means more profits.
To be honest it's really the deflections, whenever the ball is shot it usually always bounce back to the offensive player,or whenever you tackle a player the ball goes directly back to the offensive player no one really notices it,and offensive player always reacts before the defender at a shot it deflected.
9:00 the same problem about dictating where you want the ball to go happen when your opponent makes a faul in the midfield or behind, or there is an offside. Since fifa 20 you when they changed free kicks you can't change the camera and depending on the place of the field you are, you can't see a large portion of the field and your players
Collisions!!! They were supposed to have improved it this FIFA. They made a whole post about it And yet, ball just wobbles back to the striker after a tackle. Or when successfully intercepted a ball, ball bounces off to another striker who's free in goal.
Diving animations for keepers, fed up of pushing the stick the right direction and the keeper dives the opposite way, or just dives but doesn't stretch his arms out and just let's the ball go in, or dives over the top of the ball when it's shot low.
tbh a big point for me was always make all players kind of even, its so boring to cant play competetively with players you like (e.g immobile, firmino or even dudes as cavani) the only players i played this year are literally like mbappe and neymar and not because im a sweat more because these dudes are the only players you can play at a higher level with
@@t-vizzle they wouldnt i could use my dybala with anyone, the best fifa mode was friendlies were you could play anyplayer. Thats why icons work because they link with anyone.
@@incognito96 Maybe you would play Dybala. But I can guarantee every team would be Neymar, Mbappe, CR7 and so on. At least now you have to think about chemistry before just playing all the meta players or you need to have icons which are expensive. Maybe its just me, but I actually like the thinking that needs to go in before building a squad.
@@t-vizzle not everyone can afford neymar , mbappe, and there are just as good non meta players, mertens, martinez from the mls, all sorts of player of overpowered cheap players but dont fit the team. This way gives more options. Thy have chemistry so you have to buy expensive icons to link your team together. I would rather have 11 overpowered cheap ragtag players and try to beat the meta teams.
I thought I was the only one who doesn't like that every Champs game is at night lol. It feels depressing and somehow makes it more serious than it needs to be.
I use 3 in midfield (1 CDM and 2 CMs) only because when I had 2 there, both on stay back and cover centre, they'd wander off to places I didn't know where when defending. My CDM seems to actually stay central however. EA's tactical set ups are just dreadful, lazy, rigid. There's no option for fluidity at all. How difficult can it be to allow us the player edit starting positions from corners, free kicks for example? It's RNG all the way. I'm disgusted with myself for still buying this trash. If I didn't love football as much as I do, I'd have finished ages ago. Congrats on winning the Euros btw. Delighted for Italy. So impressed by Chiesa, he's a little bit of a superstar!
I used to set my team up in a 5-3-2. Make them attack minded. I'd adjust my left and right backs closer to midfield and have them running up and down the entire wings... like Roberto Carlos. Push my left and right midfielders up closer to the strikers. My opponents rarely figured out how to beat my set up. That was back when you could do more with setup, and players won because they were better. Not because they spent more money
Two more things which I can't stand anymore: -when you L1 + Fake shot when you're close to a teammate the game will pass the ball instead of doing the skill -When you want to pass to somebody in a free kick it's just horrible, why can't they make it like PES where u can choose a player and the ball goes to him automatically ?? And when you decide to pass there's no way back, at least they should make it dynamic !
It should be but when the defensive AI for your opposition team is literally an impenetrable fortress in div 3 and higher, it literally makes having skill moves pointless. Horrible scripting where the opposition will keep the ball no matter what you do, their defenders making insane reads and decisions to block or intercept anything you do, horrible touch system, your team's AI refusing to pass you the ball when you call for it, your teams AI defending like plush toys (basically stand still and do nothing when the ball is right next to them) and not to mention stupid goalkeeper decisions such as kicking the ball when there's an easy pass to make to the full back.
right? I miss great opportunities because my through ball that should have worked was over hit but doing a 70 yard through ball some how bounces right into the path of the attacker "avoiding my defenders"
Referees using same kit of my oponnent or mine.. Sometimes when you shoot they tackle instead Sometimes my player get tackled without the ball by AI and screw the attack
I go agree with defending though, it gets frustrating to defend especially when half tackles are easily recovered. Also, I'm not sure if the goal keeping system has improved from FIFA 20 today. While the keeper didn't allow goals in the near post as much as he used to, I think the overall positioning of the keeper is affected for things like the headers but not sure if there's a general consensus on this.
Over the years, I've heard people say FIFA is like an arcade game and I never understood...until FIFA21. It's not about skill and strategy at all, it's about selecting the biggest sides with the biggest players and just knocking the ball forward for them to chase.
2 things. Player upgrades and Defensive tackles. The absolute biggest thing I don't get in Fifa 21 is player upgrades not living up to their stats e.g FOF De ligt and 92 Zagadou, TOTS Courtois. For me, each of these players are terrible in-game. Defensive players this year are a lottery, Varane, Joe Gomez, Lenglet are all great in my opinion. This is because when they tackle, they tackle the ball out the path of the player or cause the opposing player to stumble or fall over. They also intercept really well. This completely contrasts to defenders like De ligt or Zagadou who can't intercept passes (even with 99 defending stats) the ball goes straight through them. Furthermore, they completely miss tackles or if they make the tackle, they stumble and fall over.
Defensive midfielders should help out with defending or run to get back after their line of the press has been beaten. Better player switching mechanic too. I also play career mode quite a bit. I would like for the A.I. on legendary to cross the ball in quicker from the wide areas instead of dribbling around in the corner of the pitch.
I would mention slide tackles. They have become so low-risk that many people just slide into you whenever you are within their reach. Some people even slide immediately after losing the ball. And chances are, they get the ball back and you are screwed. Sliding tackles from behind as well as sliding tackles from attacking players should be very high-risk. People should really weigh up their options before making this decision. So far, most of the time, they either get the ball back from you or, in the worst-case scenario, your player luckily evades the tackle and nothing happens. When they are trying to pressure you, they slide from behind into your attackers even before the first touch, and they get the ball. This is unbelievable, because in earlier FIFAs this, sure as hell, was a red card
As someone who only plays clubs and doesn’t take anything competitively, I actually like the fact that the refs are awful and some slides get yellows when you’re last man, it’s just funny
I like skill moves but i refused to do the bridge or directional nutmeg in this Fifa. The thing is that the bridge isn't even a new feature it was there in older editions but required good timing.
conceptually i like the defensive mentalities i think they just need to be modified. to a degree i understand the "second man press" manual logic but i should be able to have the press options for my team to do, but adjust them do its not the only way to play/ counter pressing
the main frustration for me is when the game doesn't know of you have the ball or not. 90% of your controller is useless until it's obvious again who's got possession. i don't know a simple way to fix it. but what I imagine is a button that you hold to act as if you don't have the ball even when you have it.. so the tackle never turns into a kick or pass. until they can sophisticate that, I don't see a point other than new players to play anything but fifa 15
The more realistic Fifa becomes the more chances a lot of people who know football well get to play more competitive and compete globally rather than people who just spam mechanics and get good at it IMO
One question relating to the directional nutmeg if I'm playing someone that has his entire team in his box I'm gonna probably end up trying everything that won't work mainly due to shit offensive AI therefore I will use the directional nutmeg when I need to
Defensive mentalities I agree that the AI shouldn't do too much work for you but I think if they take this option off then the players are static and flat footed. I think the game wears out the stamina for the players pretty quickly if we use constant press and as for press after possession loss, if this is taken out of the game then it will favor drop back players more since they don't care too much about player positioning of inactive players and I've not found it to be overpowered (my opinion)
The only thing I want from EA is that they stop rigging every single game ! When do those business monkeys start to realize that people don‘t play their game because of that but despite … but more an more longtime customers start to leave …
@@marcusalexander7235 I think the only thing they want is to make money… And one day some d… came up with the concept of DDA to improve „customer engagement“ … which in the end shall lead to sell more fifa points … Since EA profit is skyrocketing the recent years, EA seems to think it is working … I think they even would earn way more money with less frustrated customers… but who knows … I might be wrong 😄
@@EJ___K they need to find a way to balance DDA out because obviously right now With it almost anyone can beat anyone regardless of a person actual skill level. I mean I don't mind the game helping people but not to the point where it stops you from being able to do stuff. Needs more balance because it's not fun playing FIFA when your good at it. I honestly think they don't care about experienced players everything in FIFA just proves that.
@@EJ___K aslong as EA keep making billions each year then it's not going to change. Next gen console's is a perfect platform to make gameplay better and consistent if EA make FIFA bad with DDA on next gen console's then that will tell you EA are happy with the way things are.
The BIG problem I see with autoblock is that the AI defender player ALWAYS know where the ball is going. In a realistic scenario, the animation of blocking should be more like a blind jump to somewhere in front of the player, however, the FIFA BLOCK is simply Virgil van Dijk moving his toe to the exact position where the ball goes. This alone makes shooting in general feel weird to me
They told me I was tripping because I’m a smaller UA-camr. But now the big boys are speaking up. Shits stressing playing this game and getting shit oatmeal in return. Everytime I play great defense it’s always puts the attackers in an even better position.
10:30 man I completely agree with you! Constant pressure is one of the most ridiculous mechanics EA has implemented in the game, and for several iterations! I can't believe this is not more discussed in the FIFA community. I have also noticed that one of the very few ways to counteract CP is turning it on yourself too. Stupid really
I think the skill moves are not bad. But just like real life, when you do a skill move it needs to take a damage on your players health ... so basically, it will prevent people from chaining skill moves.. and basically just doing the skill move when the moment demands it.
Agree with everything Stallion says and add the following: - Each skill move should be more balanced but also limited to 1 use per half. Has anybody actually watched real football, you see tricks once a game max, not 15x per possession. - Your chosen camera angle should be the same no matter what stadium you play in. This is insane to me on a game where angles are everything, I have to cherry pick games to play home games only, because away games often end up totally changing my angle of game - no camera settings can fix this - it is different stadiums. MENTAL. - Let us edit our players boots or something - small gripe but some players look identical and I don't want to have their names on the screen if possible.
Oh and let us customise formations. You could do this on games a decade ago, how has this got worse. Maybe I want one winger wide, another tucked in, maybe I want my DMs to be on different levels. Maybe I want my striker playing in the left half space .... Just let us create our own formations and tactics.
They won't fix anything, gameplay will be good the first few weeks before first patch comes in to break the game Also they won't be giving PC Players next gen upgrade but still charge full price I'm done with fifa, praying pes22 is worth it
The day and night point is a bit far stretched, FIFA are trying to emulate real life UEFA matches with FUT champs, which are mostly played at night. Also if they gave people the option to choose between night and day, it'll create a downward spiral of fuckery, like fixed matches, fabricated WL records etc. Leaving it at random is best for both sides of the argument.
My wishlist : Improve attacking ai to be more efficient in going into empty spaces. Multiple teammates must assist you in breaking down the opposition's defense. - passing: get rid of that " avoid opponent players" crap it doesn't benefit for both the attacker and defender. - defense: PLEASE EA bring back SECOND MAN PRESS, how do you expect people to defend consistently on 1v1 situations, especially on the final third/ penalty box. - left stick dribbling needs to be improved. - improve player's options to defend high on the pitch. What I mean by this is your team sometimes defend deep by default making it harder stop passing lanes or mark players.
What I want is consistency. I get that you shouldn’t always be able to make crazy passes because it’s not happening in real life, but why is it that we can have a someone do 6-7 skill moves in a row but not one touch passes? You either have both or none because that just kills the game
Day games are fine as long as it's in the afternoon. The shadows get in the way of the game. I think that's part the reason why they focused on night games.
Since FIFA20 EA made the meta to spam random down the line perfectly weighted through balls, cut back and score everytime 💀 If you try to play any decent football through the middle, the AI will literally go through the back of you with no foul called but play continues lol. I dribble past a defender and they either crab walk, circle around me 6 times in 6 secs like a piranha for the ball or get a speed boost recovery run with a 6m lunge and tackle you ... The game’s just insufferable as a whole and I won’t be buying next years 👍🏾 Good shit Stallion
I think EA is trying to balance the idea of an arcade style mechanics in a realistic environment. Whether the idea executed well, I have no idea. What do you think EA general scope of view on FIFA?
The fact that over 50% of blocked shots end up with the ball going directly back to the other team has always annoyed me. You block the through ball it goes back to them, they make a pass then take a shot which is blocked by the keeper, and the ball goes back to them again...it's fucken annoying 🤦🏾♂️
The number 1 thing that they need to nerf is the god dxxn bridge/directional nutmeg thing. It is even worse than the chained la croquetta in 19. I personally don't mind the cancel skill moves because they are hard to master anyways for casuals like me. The CM just standing there not defending is also something that piss me off. They have to be changed
Great Video. I dream of a game which is balanced and with way less randomness in actions. A game where actually the better player, with better understanding of football wins more games but I fear i have to keep dreaming for years to come, because this is what keeps more "not so good" players playing ultimate team. At least remove constant pressure, skill canceling, glitched skill moves that are not even skills and make right desicions especially in defense rewarding and I'm satisfied for once. The only downside is that, because it's EA, even if they do this there will be some other bad game mechanics and bugs in the next Fifa.
Fifas menu and overlay need a complete overhaul. I mean we are talking about an online game where we cant do custom games or play 2v2 3v3 or anything like that. It feels like you are playing an arcade game.
Stalion, about the Day and night game play, i like the day ones mostly because of the camera, when you are on co-op during day the camera it nice and out the payers are tiny and its very easy to player switch, i have nightmares playing at night cuz mostly the camera angle is zoomed in be it tele broadcast or co pp its not really different, and Fut champs was only night games, I hated everything about it.
No chemistry please, any player in any team. If not why cant icons be only chemistry linked by nationality. 4 1 2 1 2 formation sort the cam going to left mid position.
@@t-vizzle they wouldnt. There are so many players who ppl who cant afford meta players can play rather than robben and klieber, neymar and mbappe links. Then why are icons popular, because they fit anyteam.
@@incognito96 You need icons to link players but icons are expensive. So thats the tradeoff. If you didn't have chemistry people would just play Neymar, CR7, Mbappe and other meta players.
These points are all valid. But I'm pretty sure, some of these are added on purpose by EA. Because nowadays skill gap is much less than before because of fake shot croqueta, directional nutmeg, easy throughballs, super humans like Mbappe and super constant pressure. They just want the game to be playable by the widest range of people, hence the bigger chance of making money through FUT.
I remember in fut 14 when I used 80 gold plain all roma squad cards with totti 34 pace and still playing in the 1st division. It is just a good all days. Now fut is shit with scripting and inhuman 90+ squad to steal your cash.
No one is talking about the fifa player positioning during goal kicks, it is very unrealistic, which takes eam starts a goal kick with a defender facing their goal... We have about 7 goal kick set ups in modern football and they don't even use any of them.
Fifa needs to work on AI Blocks , i played football and i still can't understand how in fifa a defender that's 4 or 3 meters away can raise his leg and block your shot, a shot that a goal keeper that has more time to reat and has good reflexes can't stop .. they should follow what defenders do in real life to block shots , they spread their body in the assumed ball trajectory and hope it'll get blocked , and if your oponent does a fake shot and you pressed tackle to block his shot , he deserves to pass that defender , thats why in real life fake shots are so good in the box or in situations where everyone thinks you'll shoot the ball
@@billmurphy5604 I know.. Gold Varane also catches up the likes of Mbappe

Honestly yo, i fucking hate the people who complain about overall ratings or promos as if the gameplay isnt fucking ass
Ea should improve fut only a lot cause there are more users in it ,
Messi have 98? NANI?!?
I have 2 suggestions :
1. Combine fifa 14 and fifa 17 and make fifa 22. Just stay away from anything between 18-21.
2. Improve servers. When they get overcrowded especially on weekends, you play in slow motion.
Yea 14 and 17 are the best tho.
Just add driven ground shots from 18
@Alex George Well that's personal taste. But those songs gets annoying after first month so it would be fine that they add few new songs after big updates :)
I don't know why so many people enjoy FIFA 15, 16 and even 17, the game engine makes players literally crash into each other ridiculously
dribbling in fifa 18 was quite nice
My mate is in div 8/7 in rivals and doesn't relate to half of these issues. Issues become more apparent the better you are at the game which reduces the percentage of players who hate the game which is why our voice means nothing to ea sports
You just unlocked a new perspective into my life
That's exactly true. Ea protect the noobs and don't care about experienced player's. More profits come from beginners.
Well said
The skill moves issues are away more frequent when you're playing in higher divisions, although in fifa 20 it wasn't that uncommon in div 8/7 since a lot of players were getting relegated on purpose to get the objective cards easier
If ea just invested in servers and better gameplay, fifa will be more enjoyable ..
I mean it's tough to simulate a game where 11 independent individuals operate with constrained vision with a game with the player controlling all 11 with 360° vision. You know what I mean?
They told me my Nat type had to be type one lol I asked them why doesn’t it say that before i buy it haha
And that is the customer base ea want and protect because easier to get them to spend money as they are blind to what's actually happening.
Circus moves 😂😂
@Alaa Abuseif I think I might have sounded a little toxic towards 14 yo's. The kids aren't to blame. The game is. My point was that kids of that age usually don't have that much football knowledge but they know how to abuse the ridiculous meta. I think when I was that age I didn't respect and look at football the way I do now and probably would have abused the meta as well. In the end they just wanna win a game.
In a good football simulator players with good football knowledge should be superior to those with little to none. That was the point.
My nefu dont no nothing now a pass the ball to the striker and circus with him and boom you cant do anything shit game
its not a football simulation and I dont think you need football knowledge to play it. Its a football arcade game
A thing related to constant pressure: the players don't have stamina anymore and can get my fresh 90+ paced fresh player in a run. It's so annoying.
Anybody doing that constant pressure/team press shit could never create a goal on their own to save their life
Funny thing that, I have a game with a team doing constant press, but at 80 minutes, my team stamina is a lot worse that his. What’s going on.
@@azerk yup, tried it once and all my guys were dead at the half
Well deserved! Congratulations for the EURO! Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Heres my thoughts.
1: the ball is NEVER free. It always has to fall to an opposing player, after corner clearance or anything.
2: if the com decides you should
not have the ball for whatever reason, then the com player will automatically become superman and cover a stupid amount of ground to dispossess you no matter what.
6: when playing a diagonal aerial ball to a winger in MILES of space,
the com CB will just magically slide 30 yards to block the pass.
There's more for sure but that's just off the top of my head as a career mode player.
EA be like, "What if we ignore everything you just said"
I want them to add wether again, and make it so it dosent affect gameplayl... it feels like you are playing the same game EVERY game, same players, same pitch, same tactics, same wether, same lighting...

They will never turn off defensive assistance because that is what bridges the skill gap from the good players to the casuals. That’s what EA don’t want sadly.
God forbid we can have a game where to get good you need to actually practice.

People cannot stop playing fifa its football the most loved sport in the world
If you do skills like crazy your player needs to get energy drained like crazy, he should not last more than 45min.
I won't be buying FIFA 22 until you've given your opinion on it, best judge of a fundamentally good game out there!!
I agree keepers are invisible lol
There is only one thing that needs to change ...and that's the Cheaters using the lag switch ....it's the cause of us thinking our game or controller is broken ..it's disgusting at this stage and angers me so much
That Cheater is EA with their horrible LAG COMPENSATION
Fun fact: Direction Nutmeg will be getting a big brother in fifa 22. Hope y'all ready
I agree of all the things your said. 100%
When playing fifa I’m not only playing my opponent, I’m also playing against the game itself.
Which is especially annoying because that was one of the things EA said they fixed for 21 hahaha
They made a whole post about it
And yet, ball just wobbles back to the striker after a tackle. Or when successfully intercepted a ball, ball bounces off to another striker who's free in goal.
On Fifa 20, they released a patch that sorted that issue in the January. This time, they've chosen to completely ignore it.
Diving animations for keepers, fed up of pushing the stick the right direction and the keeper dives the opposite way, or just dives but doesn't stretch his arms out and just let's the ball go in, or dives over the top of the ball when it's shot low.
tbh a big point for me was always make all players kind of even, its so boring to cant play competetively with players you like (e.g immobile, firmino or even dudes as cavani) the only players i played this year are literally like mbappe and neymar and not because im a sweat more because these dudes are the only players you can play at a higher level with
I think to even it up dont make players the same, but get rid of chemistry, that way you dont have to pair robben with kleiber etc.
@@incognito96 If you got rid of the chemistry everyone would have the exact same team. Now at least there is a small amount of variety

@@incognito96 Maybe you would play Dybala. But I can guarantee every team would be Neymar, Mbappe, CR7 and so on. At least now you have to think about chemistry before just playing all the meta players or you need to have icons which are expensive. @@t-vizzle not everyone can afford neymar , mbappe, and there are just as good non meta players, mertens, martinez from the mls, all sorts of player of overpowered cheap players but dont fit the team. I thought I was the only one who doesn't like that every Champs game is at night lol. It feels depressing and somehow makes it more serious than it needs to be.
Sponge tackles, rebound goals, and players falling down. If those three things disappeared, I'd be a happy man.
Beting back the bronze, silver and gold cups. I dont see any meaning with bronze and silver players if no one uses them.
When your players start to act like mommies that means ea is on your opponent side.
Until they make some drastic changes i won't touch the game again, too much frustration from previous years.
Two more things which I can't stand anymore:
-when you L1 + Fake shot when you're close to a teammate the game will pass the ball instead of doing the skill
-When you want to pass to somebody in a free kick it's just horrible, why can't they make it like PES where u can choose a player and the ball goes to him automatically ??
And when you decide to pass there's no way back, at least they should make it dynamic !
I just want them to improve Pro Clubs 😭 it should be the best game mode by far but EA does nothing for us…
It should be but when the defensive AI for your opposition team is literally an impenetrable fortress in div 3 and higher, it literally makes having skill moves pointless.
Yeah, also overshot passes in cases where they shouldn't be
right? I miss great opportunities because my through ball that should have worked was over hit but doing a 70 yard through ball some how bounces right into the path of the attacker "avoiding my defenders"
For sure, but mentioned it so many times in my passing videos
Referees using same kit of my oponnent or mine..
Sometimes when you shoot they tackle instead
Sometimes my player get tackled without the ball by AI and screw the attack
when u tap pass button the result can be a 50m pass or 0,01m loose ball
The tekken point 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man your analysis is on another level... we should boycott other UA-camrs who just keep on promoting this EA SH#t
Shout-out to you knowing and mentioning Tekken. Like you said, it's a legendary fighting game series and is still going strong today.
conceptually i like the defensive mentalities i think they just need to be modified. to a degree i understand the "second man press" manual logic but i should be able to have the press options for my team to do, but adjust them do its not the only way to play/ counter pressing
The defending is the most important thing to fix
the main frustration for me is when the game doesn't know of you have the ball or not.
What kit did you use in the first clip? The black and white one
The goal kicks are so annoying. I’m convinced they just change stuff for no reason purely to try and justify the £60.

I must admit I've grown to love this guy's rants. I kinda love his pain because I can relate.
Agree with everything Stallion says and add the following:
- Each skill move should be more balanced but also limited to 1 use per half.
They won't fix anything, gameplay will be good the first few weeks before first patch comes in to break the game
Also they won't be giving PC Players next gen upgrade but still charge full price I'm done with fifa, praying pes22 is worth it
I have seen videos from pes 22 believe me same shit as last year. No Dribbling possible. very slow

My wishlist :
Improve attacking ai to be more efficient in going into empty spaces.
La Croquetta is fine if a skill move can be defended there's no problem
Day games are fine as long as it's in the afternoon. The shadows get in the way of the game. I think that's part the reason why they focused on night games.
Since FIFA20 EA made the meta to spam random down the line perfectly weighted through balls, cut back and score everytime 💀
If you try to play any decent football through the middle, the AI will literally go through the back of you with no foul called but play continues lol.
The last fifa i played was 17. Haven't played the past 4 editions.. I m hoping to get myself the nxt one
I think EA is trying to balance the idea of an arcade style mechanics in a realistic environment. Whether the idea executed well, I have no idea. What do you think EA general scope of view on FIFA?
They need to fix everything from slow gameplay to momentum
Thanks for mentioning about when you have the ball and someone is defending behind you, your players can’t even pass right or dribble.
Ty, you say it all :) for the record i actually didnt have a unplayable game This year. Think they fixed their connection in Norway at least.
The thing is fifa always market the game as authentic and realistic and it's the most arcady football/soccer game out :)
Well deserved! Congratulations for the EURO! Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Nutmeg=Mario kart boost
If no chemistry existed, everyone would have the exact same team.
Skill gap should come from team tactics not Individual player skill
5:01 .it never switches to the relevant mid fielder
Last Fifa I played was 09, just found out that you can like buy players with actual money? Wtf is that when you already paid full price for the game?
LOL. The keeper dove away from the ball on that tackle that turned into a shot.
