@@mickmc3832 My whole channel is about helping people get better at the game, doesn't mean I don't agree the game has core mechanical issues. I tell people to stop blaming the game and focus on themselves cause people who say they are stuck in golf 3 say it's because of the game, when really they just aren't good enough 👍
It's true. FIFA is not a football game. Explain to me how players can play with little/no midfield but still dominate games in the middle of the park. How???
I found this video yesterday, it explains a lot. FIFA is being made by people who don't even watch or love football which explains it. ua-cam.com/video/rrh6xnvIPVA/v-deo.html
Here's my thoughts. For years, I've compared this game more to HANDBALL rather than football. Its pretty much the same analogy you have, though I've been talking about this since - you guessed it - FIFA 17. And you're using basketball while I'm using handball as an example. The core gameplay, if you're playing on an above average level, consists of people while in possession passing the ball up and down outside your box, waiting for either a lapse in the AI programming or an overcommitment from the opponent, to then pass it to the striker, turn and shoot. That would be a more realistic scenario in handball. There are a few reasons why this is the go to method for most people, but the main reason is: its the easiest route of least resistance. This is taken care of with completely broken passing, interception and defending mechanics. It just requires so little skill, so little creativity and is purely down to connecting the dots. And EA apparently calls that football. As far as I can recall - thats all people have been doing since FIFA 17, unless you're a lower tier player actually thinking football while playing. And this is part of the reason why ever since FIFA 17 was released, I have never seen a streamer or a competitor in any of the "esports" events actually make an effort or have the style of actually trying to replicate football. Literally no one. Forget football - thats not how you win. The way you win consistently in FIFA is to abuse all the different things that makes winning more likely. And not using your football brain is clearly one of them. Its really sad times for football games when this is the case. Is it ever going to get better? No. Because EA's focus is not on competitive gameplay or recreate the FEELING of playing football. No, its on game play accesibility. And these kind of mechanics, along with other bullshit like composure, momentum, dynamic tactics etc. builds upon that. So my question in 2020 is: why are people still giving EA money over this shit? Why are people still playing this game? The only answer I can find is that they just dont know better and there's just no alternative. FIFA is shit. Pro Evo is shit. Its sad, but there just isnt a football game on the market that's any good in terms of competitive GAMEPLAY. The best football game on the market, and the only one that is about ACTUAL PURE GAMING SKILLS is a game that is literally cars bouncing around on a mechanical ball. And all we're left doing is banging our heads against the wall, hoping for better times that will never come. My solution to this problem: DONT PLAY FIFA.
From my point of view I keep playing because I'm simply addicted to playing football games. And every time I turn on FIFA and play 1 or 2 games I quickly regret my decisions. I've never been a hyper competitive player but I was decent and tried to apply real football logic in my game. But, just as you say, there's basically none of that in FIFA now. So many aspects of real life football are non-existent in FIFA. And I think that it's not only because of gameplay accessibility, but also the focus on esports. Take crossing for example. Because there's a lot of RNG involved in winning the header, EA decided that it should be nerfed into oblivion. There's no balance. Another aspect is dribbling. You pass the ball to your winger and try to get past the fullback just by using your balance and shifing the ball quickly. WRONG. This doesn't work in FIFA because (and this is the thing barely anybody talks about) the defenders' agility is simply inhuman and they have no weight to them, so even if you fool the opponent, he turns in an instant and gets the ball while you try to go past him. Instead you need to use elasticos, scoop turns, dragbacks and so on to have a chance to go past. Passing has been mentioned in this video. But what I miss, which is again a part of real football, is picking a through ball from deep. It's basically impossible in FIFA for many reasons including: defenders automatically tracking dangerous runs, bad trajectory of passes, defensive lines sitting in their box. And of course I'm not asking for FIFA 14 or 15 levels of through ball abuse. There should be a balance and logic to this. There's no counter to the low defensive blocks we see in FIFA. After the ridiculousness of FIFA 19 shooting, long shots are now useless. And defenders auto block like half of those shots anyway. Instead so many goals have to be scored in the unrealistic way mentioned in the video. There's no variety, it's not only unrealistic, it's also boring. The beauty of football is that goals can be scored in so many ways, every goal is different in some way. It seems like every year EA are striding further from that. I wonder how many people also wish for a game that simply tries to recreate real football in a fun way (a game lasts 12 minutes, the tempo has to be pretty quick, and attacking football should be rewarded instead of endless possession).
@@eddyt4714 and I agree with you completely. Haha. And as far as the original comment, I agree although I have played PES consistently for three months now, no fifa and I have to say, although it still causes frustration with certain aspects, (players can literally run past the ball rather than intercept, players don't lock on to the ball sometimes, there is not enough of a penalty for players who do relentless 100mph pressing all game long, there is often a large gap between midfield and attack that allows for unrealistic mile-long ground passes, the ball can also bounce off your defender who just doesn't react quickly enough to prevent a tragedy of a goal) overall it is still infinitely more satisfying than FIFA as a football simulation. Once you learn the intricacies of the dribbling and other mechanics, your enjoyment dramatically increases as you are rewarded for well timed and realistic body weight shifts and movements that resemble real life football rather than ridiculous dribbles and weightless flyaway players. I played fifa again recently and was disgusted with myself that I gave it so long before giving up on it. PES is far from perfect, but it's waaaaay better than fifa right now. Give it a chance 💯
Sorry but PES gameplay is actually pretty good but the animation is awkward, and the features, modes and other stuffs are just shit. But trust me the gameplay is way better and you do need a footballing brain to play it and not just fast hand with OP skill moves. In Pes you need to be careful with your first touch and already set in mind on what you gonna do with your second and third touch, you can't simply think at that particular moment (you can but it's hard), but it's similar to real life football, every touch matter, you need to know when to sprint and not, when to take a heavy touch forward or backward in order to keep the ball. It's kinda complicated to explain but it feels better than Fifa. Fifa is way to "arcade-y like"
I am surprised there wasnt an update to the near post. The goalie can cover the other 90% of the goal with no problem, but with near post, they dont move lol
iPeragodo Fifa 20 is worse. At least on Fifa 19 the skill spam was actually a way to beat drop back, now there’s no way to beat drop back. Boring, slow, shit game that goes backwards year by year. Fifa 14 was far better. Let that process. A game made nearly 7 years ago. You’d think 7 years of thinking would make ea make a great game. No. Shit company.
Just a small note real quick: even in real-life basketball iso scoring is the worst opportunity you can fashion, in terms of the number of points you can actually expect from it. So not only is FIFA kinda like basketball, it's actually people who are really bad at playing basketball playing basketball. I mean in 2K isolation scoring might be viable but that's not a good representation of real life basketball. Good video. Great pronunciation of Johan Cruijff!
I had to stop playing fifa last year when i finally realised that real life football logic didnt apply to the game. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers from 🇳🇬
Loose ball in the box EA's football logic: closest attacker backs away from the ball or refuses to sprint towards the ball Loose ball in your own box EA's football logic: 90 rated defender backs away from the ball and creates space for opposing attacker Clearing the ball out of your box EA's football logic: balls are always cleared to an opposing player Player with 99 pace stat with clear path to goal EA's football logic: defender with 65 pace stat catches up and makes the tackle Opposition player tackles my player EA's football logic: my player goes to ground opposing player trips over my player he just tackled my player gets a second yellow card and is sent off (happens very rarely for me but it still happens) Has any of these happened to any of you guys? I swear it feels like this game is out to get me!
You are spot on with the backwards logic bit. I model my game around the beautiful through pass but I noticed with the recent FIFA games (19 for me), anytime I see a teammate open, more than 90% of the time, the GK collects the ball. I used to think I always overpressed the button due to the rarity of such openness. Thanks for the insight. You got yourself a new sub. Good job mate!
It's incredible how good you can describe and detail those kind of stuff. It just fits so well with what I think but can't describe haha! Thanks for the content!
Also, on another topic... the older FIFA games (up to 2016) were also so much more fun for even bad players... they learned and they were excited to get better... they felt like they were playing really really good football... I'm gonna share a story which was really nice for me... back in 2014 or 2015 (something like that) I was a Division 1 player in Seasons (I never played FUT, never liked it... getting the best players is pointless... if you want to show me your skill, beat me with a 4 star team or a 3.5 star team... not with messi and ronaldo... then I will truly respect you) but on the start of the year you start from Division 10 always... so, I was climbing fast and I was on Division 6 and I got matched with a kid from Austria I think... I destroyed him 11-0 and I was about to get to my next game and keep climbing when I got a message saying "Man, you're so good, can we play again? I want to learn how to play like you..." Honest to god, this was the best moment of my life in online gaming (cause you can't compare it with playing against your friends on the same couch... that's always gonna be 1000 times more fun)... somebody online had the guts to admit that he wanted to learn instead of dismissing your skill and blaming everything on something... really respected him for that... so, I accepted his friend request and we started playing together for a while... and I was explaining to him what I was doing... telling him how to pass... telling him why passing forward all the time is not a good strategy... I taught him how to create holes for your players to run into and get through balls in... and he was getting much much better... and he was so excited... after a few months I stopped playing with him cause I was playing more with my friends having huge tournaments, so playing online too was kinda pointless... but I remember that after playing with Johan (I think was his name) for a few months he was infinitely better, he was even challenging me sometimes and he was able to get all the way up to Division 2 for the first time... and he was super excited and told me that he even understood real life football better now because of it... This is how good those older FIFA games were... even bad players were having a blast learning the game... now the game is a ton of bullshit, no skill, glitch exploits and nothing else...
It's the only way they'll have to think of something else to get them that money at the very least so I'd say it's our best hope. Can't really see any other way to make them try something different
I don't mean to be negative but what EA's been doing are straight up mafia practices, they showed the world that they are not shy to play dirty and they are more than ready to play even dirtier. They have the money and they will lobby hard whoever political figures that have the power to influence the outcome of any regulations so those regulations are still lenient to them. They will find loopholes and purposely take advantage of them to gain as much profit as they can before someone realize. The true power is in our own hands, don't trust it to someone else, they will only listen to us when they are hit with sales decline. FIFA will only get better if they are losing their regular customers............
No, the problem right now is the game play. If you play WL and choose untradeable packs you can build a ridiculous team without buying points or even trading. Hell I've been pack only since November and only thing you can't get is the elite icons. But the difference isn't anywhere close to worth the time or money spent.
Lol they aren’t taking the packs out the game it’s the same shit with city and UEFA it’s to much money to go against major companies what they will likely do is say with parents permission or say you have to be 21+
Omg not wonder why I can't defend, I watch football through out the week and pay attention to good defensive sides thinking that would help me in Fifa loooool 😂😂 I should have been watching basketball
Bro if you wanna defend in Fifa don't control your CB amd try to do manual tackling , all the so called elite players only chase you with their CDM and never maually tackle
No wonder. This was the first year I actually played 2k for more than a week and the offensive style really felt like fut champs. But you know, EA want dat football simulator feel, amirite?
I think you're onto something. I played 2k for the first time last night and noticed that the controls are very similar to FIFA (right stick skill moves, R2 Sprint, X to pass etc)
Genuinely laughed out loud at this video. Great work! You made very good points and backed them with footage. I stopped playing FIFA 20 because of you 😂 thank you for helping cure my FIFA addiction kind sir.
Just subscribed cuz of this video. You effing genius hahaha it makes so much sense when you put it this way. Thanks dude! Looking forward to getting better at lighting up some squads out there.
Man this video is a legend :). I was wondering why i suck at the game, so, i started recording my games and to my surprise, i found that my passes and gameplay resembles so much of real football, and looks elegant to watch. However, in all my games, eventually I loose the ball, and there are 3-4 ping pong passes from the opponent, and viola, a beautiful counterttacking near post of finasse goal. :)
Yo I actually managed to rage quit even at Volta. 1st reason: skill moves are SHIT 2nd reason: I play against my own team 3rd reason: skill moves don't provide any advantage 4th reason: I literally play nearly every game against syd who is in my own team wtf 5th reason: skill moves don't get rewarded in any way 6th reason: when my opponent is on 1v1 against last man in behind, they score 8 out of 10 times, when I am, the last man standing just clears it 90% of the time 7th and last reason: what's the point of street football in a game where skillmoves are FUCKIN TRASH???
yesterday I was at my friend's place and played my first FIFA 20 (or FIFA) after FIFA 18. Played a couple of season matches and I won all 4 of them and in the middle of the session I said this is more like a basketball game than football. And here you are confirming it
Once again, great video! I know how to play football since forever, every rule and nuance, and maaan, FIFA surely has no resemblance to that whatsoever. I think one of the reasons I still struggle when I face strong opponents is not being able to change the mindset of trying to reproduce what would work in real life.
"Omg guys, to become pro-footballer do not practice shooting or dribbling. Just find your inner basketball instinct and you'll be the best. " -Guys at EA
This isn't even to mention that FIFA doesn't even simulate _good_ basketball. Isolation hasn't been popular since around 2014, when guys like Carmelo Anthony were still big time players, and was in it's prime in the early to mid 2000's with dudes like Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant. That's because it doesn't produce spacing, the defense can just sit and watch you try to break them down. Cutting to the perimeter _can_ be an effective way to get open looks. However, it's never a first choice unless there's already a back screen waiting for you. Unless it's part of a play, you generally use perimeter cuts when a) the defense is collapsing on the ballhandler, b) your defender is in deny and you're stagnant otherwise or c) another player is coming in to take the space you're in, so you need to fill in.
That's the main deffernce b/n casual players amd so called pro players. Most of the casuals wanna replicate real life style in to Fifa but you will get punished for attempting that. The pros know every single broken mechanics and exploit it to get a goal amd some of them have never ever played real life football. One of the other exploitation you forgot was the running inside fake shot where a weak winger bodies your Cente back and run in to your box
This is by far the most accurate description of how fifa 20 plays offensively I have seen. It makes me realize why I am so bad after not playing for 3 months. Such a odd soccer game.
Counter Attacks also almost never work in Fifa 20, you can have 99 pace attacking Players who still lose a race against 65 Pace CB's. It is just passing all the time until someone's open enough to score
First - Dude love how you’re blowing up 2nd - Nailed it with the basketball ISO analogy. Honestly dead on 3rd - In real life a defender is taught to give the near post. The defender guards the far post and keeper has the near post.
Damn... that was the funniest FIFA burn video ever... you're a legend dude... I was a top player in old FIFA titles up to FIFA 16, always on Division 1 of seasons (never played FUT cause in my opinion winning with an "all star" team is pointless... shows no skill... beat me with a 3 star or 4 star team and I will truly respect you)... but they were truly good games... they rewarded football knowledge... they rewarded good tactics... they rewarded good passing game... mindless counter attacks could get you up to a point (around Division 3 or maaaaybe division 2) but when you got up to Division 2 and Division 1 with the big boys? Oh, you would be schooled so bad... cause we knew how to play manual defense and you would be DESTROYED... also, mindless possession of the ball was punished even harder... those idiots that just passed the ball around thinking they were Pep Guardiola but without a plan at all, they were blasted into oblivion... I bought my PS4 in late 2018 and it came with FIFA 19, so I was quite excited to come back into the game and showcase my skill... and I was astounded to realize that FIFA skill gap was literally non-existent anymore... playing good football got you literally nowhere... reading the playing field did nothing to help you win... your players were 11 standing cones on the pitch unless you moved them manually... the amount of bugs and glitches was ridiculous... but the most important thing is that I was goddamn struggling on Division 6!!! And when I say struggling I don't mean I wasn't winning... I was still winning... but by 1 or 2 goals because my players did nothing to help me showcase my superior passing game and break the defense... instead I was struggling against players that clearly didn't know how to pass the ball effectively and have a plan... they couldn't string 3 passes together but yet the game helped them stay close on the score board and stay competitive... or at least feel they did... their dumbass passes got through while I was manually sending my player to stop them in situations where normally I would steal he ball and destroy them by quickly passing up the field with close accurate passes making them struggle to even keep track of the ball... Anyway... FIFA nowadays like many other games REWARDS BAD PLAYERS!!! It makes them feel better than they actually are... because up to 2016 that I was playing against weak players with no football knowledge I was winning by ridiculous scores... 6-7-8 goals... on lower divisions it was just a matter of playing the games and getting up to Division 1... but I guess the EA executives decided that maybe good players (like myself) made those bad players rage quit and drop the game altogether? I don't know... but they decided that they needed to make ways for the bad players to be competitive against the ones that were much superior because of both their skill on passing the ball accurately and their football knowledge... I'm not writing all this to brag... I'm not a child... I'm just stating facts... stating that the gaming communities have changed altogether... that "inclusiveness" has ruined gaming... bad players should not be competitive against good players... they should be forced to try harder, to learn the game, to play better... being good and having high IQ and high football knowledge and skill on the game should be rewarded... otherwise why would I play the game? Even if I was a bad player, why would I get good if I wasn't rewarded for it??? Sorry for the massive comment... if your answer is "I'm not reading all this" then DON'T ANSWER DUMBASS!!!
The main problem is, just like basketball, the casual fan prefers high scoring over tough defence. It's easier on the eye and simpler to understand. The real game of football and basketball have implemented ways to essentially weaken defending in favour of attack (though in VAR's case, it seems to be doing the opposite by disallowing so many goals currently!). FIFA is no different. It's catering to the market. My personal problem is that the market now has become so diluted to serve the casual fan that it's losing the appeal it had in the first place - good, competitive sport.
I just want to comment, I find your explanation of ISO funny In basketball, ISO literally means “Isolation” Isolation play is when a player has the ball and all other player of the team step aside dragging their defenders to create space or lane for the player. With this setup, it would be a 1 v 1, defense v offense situation. In the second play, it is definitely not very similar. The basis of that certain basketball play is for the shooter to do a cut and one of his teammates will usually do a screen which holds the defender marking for quite a bit and give time and space for the player to shoot. If there is no screen made and the defender is trailing, giving the shooter space for some reason, then the defender is sleeping. I don’t know, it’s a good video for sure, I get the points why they are bad. But the relation to Basketball just doesn’t seem right, there are much more difference in elements and strategy.
Its mind boggling how even a 97 rated player blindly runs towards the goal post without minding the fact that hes offside, without minding the fact that he has to get in a good position instead of blindly running, without minding that his team has lost possession.. he just blindly runs towards the goal post for some reason, touches the goalie's pee pee an only then he starts tracking back.. The players runs is one of the most broken thing and people dont talk enough about it
The last football game I bought was PES 15 and it is great. I always liked PES way more than FIFA. FIFA was never realistic to me, it doesn't allow creative play, it doesn't let you score from crosses, it has way more stale gameplay than PES. And as far as I see from UA-camr who play online fifa, online fifa has scripting which turns a video game into a scripted movie. In PES 15, scripting is mostly good actually. If you have a nice attack which result in a corner kick, you are much more likely to score a goal than if you got a corner kick by some accidental bouncing of the ball. Same goes for crosses, you are much more likely to score a header if you passed a ball through and the player who crosses was wide open. PES 15 allows beautiful balls through. If youwl want you can press L2 and manually pass the ball wherever you want which allows for beautiful and creative long balls through.
Lol but real life strikers love coming back from offside sometimes they just wait standing still for the play to come to them but agree this game is broken
That's true but in real life the attack would be over after the striker ran offside. In Fifa you do some draggy backy or some spinnie Winnie until your striker is back onside. And the iso problem is imminent. Go watch f2tekkz getting top 100 with a bronze team. All his players have at least 85 pace and his offense is running and iso. Not one goal did he score using a one-two, just iso and drag backs.
Yo fr, I was running down the line to get into the box and I stopped and my whole team is standing still 15 yards away from the penalty box and I lost the ball
I'm glad to say I'm one of the few that plays with 10 depth and try to be agressive, either I win 10-0 or I lose 10-0 I was an elite 2 elite 1 in last fifas, now I'm gold 2 or gold 1, but at least I try to enjoy the game instead of playing in a boring way just bc its meta
You should honestly do a PES in-depth review. I switched over from FIFA last year and love the realistic gameplay of PES. Although I have to admit scripting and momentum shifts are much more pronounced here.
Yep 👍 I’m a passionate football tactician and FIFA drives me nuts because if you try the play beautiful football and keep possession (possession is 9/10 of the law in real football) you get undone and unstitched by one swift pass and a counter attack. It’s so infuriating.
you should make some of this videos with a PES parallel. I don't play PES, but I do know that, although the shitty gameplay and the overall bad playing experience, the game has some pretty nice team adjustments in the settings of your team. In PES, you can actually regulate which opponents your CBs gotta mark in every occasion, in both attack and defending. I don't know if it makes any difference in the near post shots or the overall "run back CF and shot". I really don't know if it takes the basketball jumpers away of the game but whatever, it might be interesting
It's true. I just wish he had touched a abit about the pick and roll and attackers running constantly into defenders or players colliding, players smashing you into the ground while you don't have the ball. You don't see that in football like that, but basketball yes. That's why fouls of the balls aren't really called because they are using basketball pick and roll logic.
i subbed for the intense and thorough research done. fifa is a scam, I've not owned a copy since 2003 lol. screw EA. i just go back and play ps one versions. fifa 96 - fifa 2002 are the golden era imo. fifa road to world cup 98 and the world cup 98 versions are literally my childhood. anyway nice work fella.
On sale on playstation store rn. Bought it, I like how it’s not arcade-like, but it’s pretty necessary to change the controls if you’re coming from FIFA.
Your videos were the answers I needed for finally decide to quit FIFA. I just can't enjoy this game because the way in which players move and behave feels so unnatural. I never played a worst football game; even PES games in ps2 were better. Thank you.
i love the analogy lol, just made me realize that i don't know shit about fifa anymore. if i use their logic instead of football IQ, i will get bad habits and start playing even worse in real life
This is honestly incredible work here. It succinctly describes the spiritual departure that FIFA has been taking for years now. Logical plays are punished and it completely misses the flow of the sport it tries to emulate.

( slow clap ) 👏👏👏 this is as good as stallions analogy
@@Missedbyawhisker I agreed with you until your last paragragh
If Fifa 21 is any worse when Fifa 20 It would be the best masterpiece EA has ever done
EA: "hold my beer"
it is going to be worse i promise u
It is always been year after year. Expect differently huh?
Well there's fifa 19
iPeragodo Fifa 20 is worse.
@@georgec5212 yeah but james harden does not drive during an iso, he mostly steps back for a 3 so Jasons point stands
I had to stop playing fifa last year when i finally realised that real life football logic didnt apply to the game. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers from 🇳🇬
Same here man. Cheers.
Do you play pes?
In MY Zone I play Fifa and Pes, Fifa is terrible, but somehow Pes is worse, that game is going nowhere.
Loose ball in the box
EA's football logic: closest attacker backs away from the ball or refuses to sprint towards the ball
Loose ball in your own box
EA's football logic: 90 rated defender backs away from the ball and creates space for opposing attacker
Clearing the ball out of your box
EA's football logic: balls are always cleared to an opposing player
Player with 99 pace stat with clear path to goal
EA's football logic: defender with 65 pace stat catches up and makes the tackle
Opposition player tackles my player
EA's football logic: my player goes to ground opposing player trips over my player he just tackled my player gets a second yellow card and is sent off (happens very rarely for me but it still happens)
Has any of these happened to any of you guys? I swear it feels like this game is out to get me!
I started playing fifa 17 again. I've not "lost" a controller since.. (also my win rate went back to 90-95% compared to 50/50 in fifa19 and fifa20)
That's my style of play as well and for the same reason. I find through passes beautiful both in the game and in the real life.
0:37 Pretty much sums up the fifa franchise in the past few years. Thank you Stallion
It's incredible how good you can describe and detail those kind of stuff. It just fits so well with what I think but can't describe haha! Thanks for the content!
thanks man
Also, on another topic... the older FIFA games (up to 2016) were also so much more fun for even bad players... they learned and they were excited to get better... they felt like they were playing really really good football... I want to learn how to play like you..."
Honest to god, this was the best moment of my life in online gaming (cause you can't compare it with playing against your friends on the same couch... that's always gonna be 1000 times more fun)... somebody online had the guts to admit that he wanted to learn instead of dismissing your skill and blaming everything on something... really respected him for that... so, I accepted his friend request and we started playing together for a while... and I was explaining to him what I was doing... telling him how to pass... telling him why passing forward all the time is not a good strategy...
Do you think that FIFA will ever get better because the British government has decided to take "immediate action against EA's gambling system"
It's the only way they'll have to think of something else to get them that money at the very least so I'd say it's our best hope. Can't really see any other way to make them try something different
@@yegfuf yeah, i hope so
I don't mean to be negative but what EA's been doing are straight up mafia practices, they showed the world that they are not shy to play dirty and they are more than ready to play even dirtier.
@@TheDrek12 except that i time nearly every tackle (including slide) correctly unless they use something like drag back
Lmao bro I just jockey and read the play they’re gunna make it’s rough out here
No wonder. This was the first year I actually played 2k for more than a week and the offensive style really felt like fut champs. But you know, EA want dat football simulator feel, amirite?
I have this in mind when I am playing 30 games in Fifa 20. Finally someone speak it loud at the end of the game cycle
Why is this so true😭
I think you're onto something. I played 2k for the first time last night and noticed that the controls are very similar to FIFA (right stick skill moves, R2 Sprint, X to pass etc)
Genuinely laughed out loud at this video. Great work! You made very good points and backed them with footage.
I stopped playing FIFA 20 because of you 😂 thank you for helping cure my FIFA addiction kind sir.
LMAO, idk how I feel about the last part. Fingers crossed about 21? cheers though

FREED VASQUES , O REI DO FIFA !
Yo I actually managed to rage quit even at Volta.
1st reason: skill moves are SHIT
2nd reason: I play against my own team
3rd reason: skill moves don't provide any advantage
4th reason: I literally play nearly every game against syd who is in my own team wtf
5th reason: skill moves don't get rewarded in any way
6th reason: when my opponent is on 1v1 against last man in behind, they score 8 out of 10 times, when I am, the last man standing just clears it 90% of the time
7th and last reason: what's the point of street football in a game where skillmoves are FUCKIN TRASH???
Yo I know. There's no rewarding separation after the skill moves
I still play fifa 19

yesterday I was at my friend's place and played my first FIFA 20 (or FIFA) after FIFA 18.
If you are reading this and are not subscribed please do so. Help this man out. Unless you are a Timmy. In which case, you are not welcome here.
"Omg guys, to become pro-footballer do not practice shooting or dribbling. Just find your inner basketball instinct and you'll be the best. "
-Guys at EA
Bro he is in all seriousness a genius like how do you sit down and come up with such a good comparison
I despise the way FIFA games punish the player for trying to pick out a player making a run in behind tube opposition defense
Now this is the video that got me to subscribe. Beautiful content man. Just beautiful
Very good logic. Thank you Mr Italian stallion for the interesting analogy
Thank you sir for watching
Very good analysis and comparison. You made clear and obvious what the game is really like. I hope EA watches this video
This is by far the most accurate description of how fifa 20 plays offensively I have seen. It makes me realize why I am so bad after not playing for 3 months. Such a odd soccer game.
I really hate the state of interceptions this year
Counter Attacks also almost never work in Fifa 20, you can have 99 pace attacking Players who still lose a race against 65 Pace CB's. It is just passing all the time until someone's open enough to score
First - Dude love how you’re blowing up
2nd - Nailed it with the basketball ISO analogy. Honestly dead on
3rd - In real life a defender is taught to give the near post.
Whenever stallion is covering his head, reminds me to Palpatine XD
you are one smart boy.
Awesome video my bro! Keep them coming!
Lol, this is hilarious. Great video as usual
The best description of this game I've heard all year
I just want to comment, I find your explanation of ISO funny
In basketball, ISO literally means “Isolation”
Isolation play is when a player has the ball and all other player of the team step aside dragging their defenders to create space or lane for the player.
You're doing the lords work bro, thank you. 🙏
Quitted fifa 2 months ago. Playing pes 20 now. Its not perfect yet but i have never had this joy playing since fifa 16
The players runs is one of the most broken thing and people dont talk enough about it
excellent analysis again, good job
as a hardcore football fan who plays fifa since 08, pes is the answer....you really need to be tactical, good decision making to win games in pes
You're right, players DO stare into the distance. Half the time I'm yelling at them
Yo fr, I was running down the line to get into the box and I stopped and my whole team is standing still 15 yards away from the penalty box and I lost the ball
@@Justin-oi7jt Yeah weird, even my assist was switched on but no one was assisting!

Amazing video as per usual, I’m so happy someone out there sees this gameplay like I do and uses their platform .

Great video Stallion! Hope to hear you back on FUT Weekly Podcast again soon. You always have great insight.
Man totally correct. What STALLION said.. totally.. i loose many opportunities because of this..
Great video. One thing nearpost has always been op in FIFA since Fifa 11
... but this year it is way too much.
FRED VASQUEZ ???? ALGUEM ?!?!?! KKKKK
You reminded me now, the icon pass would be amazing in fifa so we can avoid dumb passes where we didnt want them to go.
you should make some of this videos with a PES parallel.
Pes 20 has better gameplay than FIFA 20! Looks better too! Pes 20 makes FIFA 20 look like a Super Nintendo game.
PES has 10x better gameplay. That's not the problem with the game
Great video, never thought about that but you’re 100% right
Brilliant video!
This with lofted pass into the box is just stupid! The football IQ is just gone, and I REFUSE to play this way.
Give pes a chance for a month, I reckon you will get into it
I get so mad when I’m ppl just stand there, It’s like I’m trying to control every player on my team while trying to worry about some dude pressing me
It actually is just like handball if you watch how players pass the ball around the box!
lol. eventhough i love basketball, this is just ridiculous. good thing pes exist as a challenger.
Omg, this is so true! I just did not notice it!
I just downloaded an NBA game, looks like I'll adapt fine then lol, good video!
Ps plus? Also considering downloading it. Is it any good?
Another absolute Banger from Stallion 🔥
i subbed for the intense and thorough research done. fifa is a scam, I've not owned a copy since 2003 lol. screw EA. i just go back and play ps one versions. fifa 96 - fifa 2002 are the golden era imo. fifa road to world cup 98 and the world cup 98 versions are literally my childhood.

Your videos were the answers I needed for finally decide to quit FIFA. I just can't enjoy this game because the way in which players move and behave feels so unnatural. I never played a worst football game; even PES games in ps2 were better. Thank you.
WOW. Never saw it in this perspective. Cheers fam.
Game went downhill at a number of points. But once they made the drag back so easy, things kept going downhill for dribbling creativity.
Stallion on point again legend
That was an interesting take on this here. Thanks for the trick.
I must hate myself.. I literally preordered the new fifa yesterday.. Yep I definitely hate myself.. Great vid stallion
Why would you order a game you haven’t even seen and have no idea about it yet!!? This is why they will never take us seriously!! That’s sad
i love the analogy lol, just made me realize that i don't know shit about fifa anymore. if i use their logic instead of football IQ, i will get bad habits and start playing even worse in real life
This is honestly incredible work here. It succinctly describes the spiritual departure that FIFA has been taking for years now. Logical plays are punished and it completely misses the flow of the sport it tries to emulate.
