@@Datanditto while it may be the CHORDS there is a lot more to music than the chords, the key difference here that completely changes the sound of this section is that in the original the guitar plays a melodic riff that starts on the 7th degree C# and walks up the scale towards the 5th (A) but turns around and lands on E sitting on top of an A major chord. in the piano arrangement he does the same walk up but instead of turning around and going back down to the E he completes the walk up and lands on the A on top of the A major chord. Additionally in the original the bass is playing a pedal tone on the root, just smashing out a low D as the guitar walks up until finally moving to an A when the guitar lands on the E. This is mirrored by the guitar that is letting his open low D ring during the walk up until it moves to an A when he lands on the E forming a power chord. The pedal D underneath the movement creates a substantial tension and subverts the harmony giving it a very different feel from what is played here. Come down and waste away with me

And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever be this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
She sang
Breathe out
So I can breathe you in
Hold you in
And now
I know you've always been
Out of your head
Out of my head, I sang
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
