During reassembly, be certain to rout the green guide that's around the door handle cable through its little spot on the door handle housing. If you don't the handle will be a little sloppy, and maybe not taught enough to unlock the door when it's locked.
Thank you so much, save me a lot of time and effort stuffing around.
Don't forget to remove the integrated small side sunshades first ( if u have those ). They stick out more so U won't be able to lift up on the panel.
Thanks very much for posting this. Very helpful and greatly appreciated.
Wow, super easy !! Thanks man!
Thx for the video! Helped me out a lot.
Thank you It Was As Easy As U Made It Seem :)
Thank you for the video. Really helpful. What is that tool which is used to remove the panel? The plastic stick. Could You tell me the technical name for that tool so I can find and buy it?

Would you know how to open door if the actuator is blown? Cant open from both ends 3 series. Thx
For some reason on my 2002 after all that there seems to be something holding the panel in place, right where the door handle is. I noticed there is a clip there, could mine be stuck? Am i missing any screws maybe behind the trim panel?
How to fix a rear door leak on a BMW 5 Series (E39) 1997-2003?
Fliplove00 I'd recommend installing a new vapor barrier. When the barrier gets torn or the adhesive no longer holds securely, leaks will happen. Hope this helps.
