That was crazy crash. Lucky nitro circus is pumping. I used to ride with Josh Sheehan at Phloppy's track over decade ago. He taught me how to go big of doubles. Then after few years racing and heaps of enduro with mates I've had some massive crashes off huge jumps. About 5yrs ago I went to fast into 12 pallet kicker ramp step up over huge hill and it bucked hard off lip but I got back level in air, then hit knuckle on top bottomed out so hard it flexed my leg from impact through pegs, which threw me off bike and 20m down hill in the air. I broke tibia and fibula clean through, ripped from bone and tore completely ACL, MCL and LCL. Took 4 operations and still can't feel right leg from knee down, also can't kneel even on bed. Lucky can still ride just have to tell myself not to hit big jumps anymore.

Cant imagine biggest race of your life and you fuck up days before it damn he must of thought his life was over for a short time but damn did he make a big comeback
Every person has a voice inside their head that is there to keep themselves safe. It's the voice of reason. It let's you know you are about to be in danger or you are in danger and you need to take action. Sometimes it's fun to ignore that voice and do something dangerous and you are rewarded with a natural speedball, otherwise known as a shot of adrenaline and dopamine. This is why rollercoasters are fun for some people. But just like a real junkie, once a person gets a taste of that shot, they want it more and need more of it to get the same effects. I know about this because I am an adrenaline junkie myself, and I have always loved the sports that push the limits like skiing and mountain biking. But after a while that voice in your head gets quite and harder to hear and you begin to take more risks to get more adrenaline. Eventually, if you continue to partake in these activities the chances are high, that you are going to overdose and usually you wind up getting hurt. If you are lucky enough to fully recover from your injuries, or recover enough to be able to continue your adrenaline seeking behaviors, that voice of reason is going to speak up a little louder the next time you try something dangerous. You will either take steps to make sure you can complete that stunt or you will chose to pull back and try something you know is safer. People like Travis have taken so many risks and have had so many accidents that they learn to completely ignore that voice of reason. They have mentally muted that voice of reason that tries to keep them safe and that is why they no longer have the fear that a normal person would have when thinking about doing a risky stunt like he does. Travis has killed the voice of reason in his head by abusing it so it no longer is able to speak. Travis Pastrana has lost the ability to be scared for his personal safety and therefore will try any stunt he thinks is physically possible. He has no fear, and that is something really scary.
That's assuming quite a bit, and equating your own experience to that of someone whose experience is entirely different, by its very nature. You honestly can't speak so authoritatively to Travis' experience, and it makes you sound quite pedantic to do so with your whole chest like that.
I mean yeah they can get you into trouble... But good friends wouldn't put your life or career at risk. Usually that type of person who would do that is just a pos.
@@clutched010 I had a good friend adjust a wood jump to he much steeper as I was pedaling away to hit it with my bicycle. I don't know why I didn't go over the bars, he made the ramp 2 times steeper. Ryan villopoto would have to make my top five man he dominated for a four year stretch where nobody could touch him
5th gears absolutely where it's at ... 3 weeks after Ipswich World Records me & the oldmate that owned / worked out Black Duck we were both hitting the four-wheeler record ramp $ dollar thirty five ...😢 Travis a true legend .. I got so much enjoyment out of watching him race full send on the ragged edge style approach racing supercross came to a close it was a disappointment ...highlight STAND OUT 👉 when he came up here to the Boondall entertainment centre I think was 2001 .. ALLTIME ❤
Damn, that crash was brutal 😭😭😭😢
I crashed on my bike and shitwhipped my legs into the ground kneecaps first, by the time I got the the hospital I could barely walk because ofnthe fluid behind my kneecaps, they told me to just sit and wait for it to go away.... it took a month, I wish they drained my knees, even though it probably wasn't as bad as his was
The ronnie mac joke wasn’t around back then. Is there a real dude names ronnie mac that built and rode jumps at castillo ranch back in 02/03?
Pretty sure they’re just not sayin his real name to keep the persona alive, he used to race supercross, with some research you can find out who he is
Jimmy Albertson
@@markchavesjr555 I got his poster on my wall STILL from like 2006 lol. I was at Millville for the pro national and he was the only guy who qualified for the pro race that was outside of the "pro pits" in the regular pit area with the rest of us normies lol and he signed a poster for me when I was like 10.
Lol thanks I was so confused
Ronnie Mac is Jimmy Albertson
I grew up in SoCal and the Castillo's I knew couldn't afford a bottle of Ranch dressing little alone a ranch with land and animals.
Travis: how fast should I go?
Ron:69 mph
I'm sitting here with ronnie having beers for breakfast and he says you didn't even try and send it
Yepp, was 14 years in highschool, when the news came, kinda devistating as a Pastrana fan back then, cause we all knew he had the potential to be the one to actually be equal to Carmichael, sad day.
The news spread like wildfire. Waited forever to get some news updates from twmx, the internet was for sure coming up, but it was not like the fast feed today. Man what if Pastrana never blew that knee out. But destiny is what it is! For people who dont know Travis dad told him not to, and he got that call , mr pastrana Travis is hurt, and he already knew, Qouting: He did that jump didnt he? Travis is such a great man and FMX truly elevated with him, but at times i like to think, Wonder what if.
If Travis said it was gonna buck they should of moved more dirt to make it safe it sounds like the jump off terrafirma 2 when McGrath is on that ranch and does that massive jump up hill
Put the actual video of the crashes in your interviews so we have a reference.
Everyone knows what jump they're talking about, its one of travs biggest crashes
Obviously not everyone... there are people who come at this from totally different directions... I have no idea what crush they are talking about?

Imagine being so dumb you can’t search for it yourself
The true example of the penalties of leadership.
When you prove the impossible is possible there is always those people that will see it and say;
"Do it again!"🙄
If you just watch 199 life's Travis Pastranas movie years ago you actually see it it's pretty crazy
how in the fucks this guy can endure so much pain!!!
Cant imagine biggest race of your life and you fuck up days before it damn he must of thought his life was over for a short time but damn did he make a big comeback
Met him once and got his autograph st a super moto meet. Nicest dude ever.
legend
You ended your SX career by listening to Ronnie Mac. Too bad. Travis had great potential. Friends get Friends into trouble. Its up to you to say no.
I flew, landed 16 feet on the rear wheel and wheelied another 30. No landing ramp and an asphalt parking lot. He was laughing. I was angry.
@@clutched010 Travis isn't so angry in a previous interview.

Laid up with a knee injury watching this… fn guy gets his knee drained every day so he can ride, and I’m just hoping I’m good enough to ride in two weeks. What an animal.
Is there a video of this crash
Sounds like Travis could use 6 or 9 jumping lessons from uncle Ronnie
My favorite rider 👍🔥💪🏼
