MS3 are saving the residents of Hull plenty of money.
Although only a few thousand have moved to MS3 those that stay with KCOM are getting great renewal deals as the competition has forced KCOM to look after customers.
Kcom appears to be desperate to get everyone locked into new 2 year contracts that increase every April.
Many thanks to Guy and everyone else at MS3 as you have made a big difference to prices in Hull.

Nice to see that there is choice for half the cost. Both companies have good networks no denying that, at the end of the day it comes down to cost for the end user, if you can get something for half the price why would you pay double.

The reality is that MS3 has plagued Hull and East Riding with unwanted telegraph poles. Placing them on housing estates which already had underground infrastructure. The uptake is dire for MS3 in East Riding. Whilst KCOM did have a monopoly most residents were and still, are happy with the fact that the company employs local people and broadband is super fast and has been for years now. MS3 poles put up with connecting wires and no connections to houses. Residents just waiting to challenge and have these monstrous poles removed.

Fella is an absolute whopper if he thinks it's just a few people who are against what he's done. It's HUGE numbers of people he's annoyed.

      What does the LPA think?
Do broadband companies have to consult with the local authority before putting up telegraph poles?
Broadband companies in the UK have additional obligations under the Electronic Communications Code (Conditions and Restrictions) Regulations 2003, as amended. Under these Regulations, companies are required to give 28 days’ notice to the LPA before they install communications infrastructure (such as telegraph poles) in a new area . LPAs can use this time to raise any concerns about the proposals.
LPAs may also set conditions that they want the company to comply with, although companies are not required to accept the conditions if they are “unreasonable in all the circumstances” (regulation 5(3)).

"if the houses are close together we can dig it, if they're further apart we have to go aerial" He's a liar, whole streets of terraced houses and even new housing estates that have ready made ducting have had poles put up. Its simply a money making exercise for them for when they inevitably go bust so they can sell their "network"
