I saw Lucario there for a sec and I was like: wait, there's something off here! But all good, I just got distracted for a sec and missed that it was showing Cresselia's animation
The went and made regidrago’s signature animation identical to kyogres 💀
Mew transforms into a sword while using glaive rush
so disappointed lunaala/dusk wings summons a moon instead of, you know, being the moon
I would like to write an apology letter to sword and shield for saying the animations were lazy.. I now see that making such an assumption was wrong after what my eyes just laid on. It was.. horrifying, you can say. The animations were SO horrendous to the point I feel I have to write this. Deepest apologies, Generation 8. Love, erickbeebo.
All i have to say is"look how they massacred my boy"
Especially sogaleo, lunala, zacian and zamazenta and especially BRAVE BIRD
New Pokémon video drops about animations and suddenly everyone are professional programmers. Gets me seething mad really
Everyone somehow attained their degrees when Sword and Shield dropped, ever since those games came out people just somehow know exactly what is and isn't possible or viable animation-wise. Pokemon fans are just insufferable.
Gen 7 : Cutsecene is too long
Gen 8 : the Custcene is to low effort
Gen 9 : can we skip the cutscene?
so people cant be critics when a multi billion dollar company puts less and less effort into their games? U dont hear this with other games because they actually take time to develop it rather than pump out as many games as fast as they can
@@lenka781 ppl can critic, but when the company doing what they want, they will never being satisfied, GF already fixing blastoise hydro pump animation, but that not enough for them
@@babyseal8822gen7 cutscenes may have been long but at least they put in effort with the animations. 2 generations later, and it seems that Game freak just doesn't care about the game that they decided to half-ass all the animations
If anyone asks about Fusion Bolt being green with the shiny: I tested it with Kyurem Black and sadly no. There is no green fusion bolt animation.😢
Why would people ask about that in the first place?
@@BlazingK9-uv6wxbecause some signature moves change color with the shiny pokemon
@@nova_nite9586 really? Can you list a few in S/V?
@@BlazingK9-uv6wx only one ik of is shiny dipplins signature move (I don’t play S/V). In the past tho there have been shiny pokemon who’s sig moves change with their shiny like rayquaza, blacephelon, dragapult, etc.
@@nova_nite9586 Rayquaza?
Wait...Zacian has Behemoth Blade for Sword, Zamazenta has Behemoth Bash for Shield, and Eternatus had Dynamax Cannon.
We had Pokemon Gun all along...
This is depressing
They disrespected Lunala animation.....
That a sin i cannot forgive...
*Look how they massacred our girl...*
It's absurd that pokemon unite has a better wicked blow animation than sv lol
7:42
nice shiny
They don't have the same impact as the use to, they look like standard moves
I do like how you did the cresselia and heatrans back to back.
The animation doesn't get any worse, they need to played the animation in the actual world, that's why the animation is more simpler, legends Arceus animation is not better either, it's a Smaller game to S/V, I still agree that they should have taken time to make this game but I don't agree that the animation is "bad"
Wow.. Someone had the guts to say it, respect
@@雪者he does have a point
@@aidenawe9359 True, true
They are bad, the excuse of the overworld is not enough for game freak, they have the money to make good games, good animation, good overworld but they won't, because even if the game is trash, that work...
As much as I want Alola on switch I don’t like how Solgaleo and Lunala’s signature moves have watered down animations compared to what they have on the 3ds
People will never be satisfied, For those of you who don't understand, this game is much wider than the legends Arceus, the number of Pokemon is even incomparable, it makes sense that the animation looks more "worse", and to be honest the animation isn't that bad, you don't teleport to a place where a scene can be played, you fight directly in the world that's exactly why the animation is more simpler, Even from all that I still think the animation (if not good) is at least decent, the only good argument I can hear is "they should have taken more time to produce the game" any other excuse you guys use besides that, makes no sense...imo
This comment is goated mind If I steal it for anyone else who complains about the "lackluster animations of pokemon scarlet and violet".
I wish at the very least some of the moves looked like the original animation. Solgaleo in SM, you can tell he rams into really hard, but in SV it kinda looks more like a projectile.
And yeah, Pokemon fans will never be satisfied. Heck, I haven't been satisfied since Gen 7.
@@jeremiahgreen5632since gen 7 u haven't been satisfied in games right? right? 💀
stop defending the multi million dollar company
@@AdachiSimp I'm not defending them, that's the reason why I said that I agree with gamefreak taking time to produce their games, know the difference
They brought back every legendary BUT the XY legendaries. I wonder why that is
Cresselia: "My Signature Move!"
**dies**
They did Regidrago so dirty. That's Origin pulse with a different color.
Also Legends Arceus has the better Judgment animation. Dunno why they didn't just carry it over
Thunderous Kick took a nosedive
I just realized that Regidrago's arms(?) are just a Charizard head. Further implying that Charizard is a dragon when in reality it's just fire/flying
They butchered my fav legend's ultimate attack. Reshiram is the one Pokemon I will always love. When I discovered Blue Flare, it was the most gorgeous move I ever seen, and this was in Black 1 before I gotten to see it in all its glory in Black 2.
Those swirling swathes of fire, the build up, then silence, then a crescendo of pure azure flames against that burning blue background, OHHH it was so pretty.
Then in SV, its just a blue sneeze...
At least it isn't poor Regidrago's Dragon Energy, just a reskinned Origin Pulse.
SV animations are made in a way so that you can turn the camera.
yoooo non Baxcalibur glaive rush like dope
Where's PLA Seed Flare and Dark Void? No BDSP either?
It’s amazing how the switch keeps proving that the 3DS is stronger and more powerful.
Edit: Legends Arceus doesn’t count
Snappy, non-specific, little knockback, and fits inside of most locations. Maybe for Tera Raids or something about the open world?
Interesting that Black Kyurem got lightning in its tail in Scarlet & Violet 🤔
It always had lightning in its tail.
@@BlazingK9-uv6wxthats what it looks like when its in overdrive after all.
@@rogue1248yeah I know that. it's always in that state whenever it's in battle.
How does dynamax cannon work in a game without dynamax in it? Im curious
it has no secondary effect, it's just a stronger dragon pulse
Eternatus is basically the source of dynamax, but it cant release its dynamax energy here, just like how necrozma didnt spread part of its body at galar
@@babyseal8822 I meant it's effect
My gut feels funny after this.
At least behometh blade and behometh bash still look pretty good, not as good as the originals, but still good.
NOOO THEY DELETED THE 3RD EYE ANIMATION FROM JIRACHI HOW COULD THEY IT WAS MY FAV
EXACTLY 😭😭😭
judgement it's an arle's Spell attack
Look what they did to my boy lugia. Why isnt aeroblast a laser just like in the second movie 😭
I don't know...maybe making aeroblast more flying type is just make sense
@@justinpartogi i get what you are saying but then the attack roar of time shouldnt be dragon type for example. The intention for it being something like hyper beam was there but instead of it being normal type they wanted to make it more special, at least thats what i am thinking.
Aeroblast has looked like blasts of wind ever since Gen 3. Gen 2 was literally the ONLY time it looked like a laser. this is not a new development lol
Nothing beats that BDSP Shadow Force animation 😮💨
They did dirty to lunala....
Dude gen 7 was really screwed over in the animations department
Giratina's Shadow Force is such a downgrade from Legends Arceus smh
Rayquaza, meloetta, solgaleo, and lunala were done dirty
The way these moves have been so heavily nerfed.... I... I'm just goin' back to Palworld...
damn they did the gen 7 and 8 signature moves dirty as hell
I won't lie I hate Solgaleo and Lunala's animations in Scarviol. like the coolest part was seeing the animation of the eye appear and then having them charge up the move especially with Sunsteel strike cause you got to see Solgaleo come down with the beam to explain the attack better. now it's just generic ball of energy number 273
They really did every pokemon dirty in the dlc
22:21 Kirlia: AAAAAAAAAH RUN FOR YOUR LIFE
I absolutely hate that Roar of Time became just another beam move like the soundwave explosions was a hundred times cooler.
Even thou the animations got mostly downgraded and the game runs so stable like a fried potato, you can't deny that the pokémon themselves looks gorgeous.
If only whey had let Jirachi ceep her eye.
"Lunar Wings" Nekrozma should say "Dawn Wings" instead.
Other than that, good video
Gen 8 bolt strike is one of the best animation
where are the gen 6 pokemon like zygarde?
Wait sky attack was moltreses signature move and not fire blast the fire version of blizzard and thunder in the power and accuracy department? WHY
XY and OR/AS animations were the best 😢
Where's the third eye?
Storm Game Freak. Now.
I miss the Day of Cinamatic Animations... atleast let us have them during Trainer battles or something...
