Jamie, the goose was probaby used to be fed in the early morning. They are very social and able to become friends with hooman. I've been house sitting for ten years at a house at the Wijdeblick lake in Holland. And became friends with Joris the goose who was ticking at the window every morning, waiting for me to come out for breakfast. Next time if you want to sleep more, just leave a lot of granes in a bowl just at the place where the goose sits. Take care.
Lol, this is the opposite advice we would give regarding geese in Canada. They are notoriously cranky and will go right after you if they think you're in their space. Perhaps European geese are just more pleasant? Jamie, if you're ever in North America and you see a Canadian goose, give it a wide berth. 😂 (They have a right to be angry with us, tbh. We're the ones that invaded their territory. They're merely putting up with us.)

He always sat next to me in the garden when I was reading a book. And than we both fell asleep. Last few years there are too many gooses in the wild, they eat all the food from the land.

That goose is missing his mate and calling for her. Maybe they could bring in a female and it would work out, but if he had a previous mate he may never accept another and will call for her forever. Geese are really monogamous.
@@SherryEllesson that is most definitely not a Muscovy it is a goose, probably part African goose based on the bump on its beak. Muscovy look nothing like that, are nowhere near that size and are definitely ducks not turkeys. I have raised them for years.

its a goose. 😊 my apartment complex had a group of them in diff varieties and they roamed the grounds and made visits to my place and a bunch of other units. hes prob lonely and making a bunch of racket trying to find some buddies. i hope he did! 😊 maybe he and batdog had a drink together. ❤

That reminds me of when I was working in Africa and asked my landlady if I could buy her rooster. That bloody thing woke me up at 5 every morning by screaming right outside my window (and you can't close them completely as you need the ventilation there). She didn't let me turn him into a stew, as he was her best rooster.

I'm from Hawaii. There was this peacock who was very talkative from sun up to sun down. One morning one of the neighbors who lived in that community got so angry she beat it to death with a bat. She of course was arrested, but said she killed it to eat it which of course was a lie because after she killed it she left it. Anyway she got off. Even though she made a lot of enemies.

That's not a swan. It's a Muscovy, which some people mistake for a kind of duck but is actually a type of Tree Turkey.
