I'm trying to get back into reading so I've challenged myself to read at least one new book each month and for April I started reading Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov and I couldn't get into it the first time (because I also had another book going) but the second time around was absolutely amazing
it's about three stories in one told thru the narrative of a guy annotating his best friends poem and it's extremely captivating once you zone in, highly recommend

That actually sounds sooo good. I'm adding it to my GR right now! I've tried to read Lolita in the past, but couldn't really get into it so maybe I'll try this one instead!

I forgot to ask… could you do a series or video recommending the best of thrillers, romance, magical realism etc? You read a lot of different genres, and I find myself going back to your video about your favorite non fiction books and it helps a lot…
Just an idea! I also loved the videos you mentioned that you will do soon, like, reading the first sentence.
Also would you be open to a q & an and maybe share some stuff about reading, like, how long it takes you to “get into a book”? Or how long you read before you DNF? How do you find inspiration on what to read next? Do you use kindle unlimited? Do you have recommendations there? Best books you read there?
I feel like you have all stars rating at the end of the month, and I’m such a quitter 😂 it’s like you give me 5 stars vibes soon or I can’t waste my time kind of thing! 🫣
    I want to stop that!
I hope you see this comment ❤

Omg yess! I'm always meaning to make more videos like that about specific genres and my favs in each so I'll definitely make that a priority~ And I would totally be open to doing a Q&A, but I worried that no one had any questions for me LOLL but I'm putting your questions in my notes app now so I can start compiling some for a future video! Thanks sooo much for your support ❤❤

Have you read Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers? I wanted to like it but the writing felt a little schmaltzy/trying to be poetic in a similar way to what you described with Wolfsong. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts! Thank you for all the book content, as always :)

Omg I have read Honey Girl and it was a 1 star read for me! Totally agree with you about the writing style, too much telling and no showing. And the whole story felt very shallow and dragged out!
