I used to buy 3 of those 10# packages of hamburger. I would cook 20# and divide into freezer bags. Then I would slice 5# into patties and make 2 meatloaves with the remaining. It's a couple hours of work, but my mom would bag up the cooked hamburger while I did the rest of the prep. Saved me so much time during work weeks.
We flatten our ground beef out in the freezer bags when we divide it up into 1 or 2 pound portions.. They stack really nicely in the freezer and thaw better

Here is a tip to get rid of your cough. Try oil of oregano. 3 drops in 2 tablespoonsof water and mix. Drink fast cause it tastes awful but it works

Janice, I have had that same tickle/cough that you describe for weeks. I have found that Trader Joes has a mint that they sell by the register that works better than a lozenge. It is the TJ peppermint in the light blue tin. I tried the sugar free and the wintergreen, and they don't stop my cough. If you have a TJs you might give those a try. Hope you feel better! Thank you so much for the videos. I have learned going to get specials at Kroger saves my grocery budget over one big Walmart haul.

Please take care try some lemon and ginger tea for your cough🍋🫚 If you’re not well just leave doing a video for another time❤.Yep I’m going to say finding the food challenge hard at the moment.Make winter stews ,usually they are economical but even the cheapest cut of meat to use is way overpriced , but fill the tummy and keep us warm using lots of fresh veges , lentils .and fresh dunking breadLasts for 3 meals so not too sure how to look at this at the moment. The cheapest usually meal is now expensive to make Always very yum tho

have you tried ginger, lemon, black pepper and turmeric grind them all up add some honey to soothe and keep the itchiness away either tea it or spoon it for the throat hugssssss

that chemical taste is the bug resisters your dont have that on them so you might have bugs freezing them works best i read about it on a ad that a organic farm had hugsssss

$165.00 for 60 people comes to $2.75 per person, I don't think you could possibly done it for cheaper than that!! Most catering places around me charge $12 to $15 a head for just a lunch cater. So, as always, you did fantastic, definitely nothing to beat yourself up over!!! Slippery Elm is a good herbal remedy for coughs and Happy Birthday David!!
You know, slippery elm is something that I've never used! I guess I need to research it and see if we're able to grow it here. :)

Hello Janice I got the grapes and mushrooms at aldi too. My lemon balm patch didn't come back this year but I found one little sprig inside a cynder block in my garden so I have been babying it and its doing great. Hope you feel better.

Hi Ozark family I hope you're doing good. I passed out and fell off the toilet hitting my face smack on the floor I broke my nose and I have two black eyes and I'm going to have to have a rhinoplasty done on my nose cuz it's not healing correctly so I've had quite a week that kicked in my oxygen levels being so low that they're in the '80s so it's been a very very bad Wait for me I have not felt good I've had horrible migraines on top of everything else that's going on a constant feeling of dizziness and I have my eyes open so please keep me in your prayers pray that I can survive those I love you guys and you're in our prayers as well Have a great week. Just a little background information I am chronically ill I have Sjogren's disease with lung involvement, I have fibromyalgia mast cell activation syndrome, severe arthritis, PTSD complex PTSD depression and anxiety. So I struggle quite a bit in my daily life to the point that I know and disability at the age of 40 so it's really kind of discouraging to me and watching your channel it just really really brightens my day You guys have no idea how much it does help me out and brighten my day I look forward to a video from you I check all the time and it says that Ozark family has a new video I just get so excited to doing what you're doing as you guys are awfully fantastic. Janice I also suffer from adrenal fatigue and blood sugar issues

Take care and rest your voice I completely understand because I’ve had the exact same thing but mine has been in the form of a nagging cough and it just seems to produce sooo much….so after two weeks of dealing with it I went to the doctor and he did blood work and a chest X-ray and they ended up finding a nodule in my right lung so I have to go for a CT scan now but time will tell. Anyway I’m praying it’s just a blip on the radar and that it’s nothing to worry about. It’s in Gods hands. God bless you. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁

I have the same coughing issues. I cough and cough after being sick, sometimes for weeks. I just retired as a 3rd grade teacher. All those poor kids having to learn through all my coughing. lol!
Janice, i do hope your throat gets better soon. One of my 6 granchildren has had a bad throat for weeks. He's only 2 and a half, and he's coughing nonstop.... It's a viral cough.

Janice, I compared my walmart cart from upstate ny and poplar bluff, my cart was $32.67 less in poplar bluff that upstate ny. Prices in ny are crazy!!!!

Janice I wish I had a magic wand and I'd blitz those allergies away for you. My allergies improved when I moved to the coast but I do remember how miserable it made me feel and I couldn't go anywhere without a bunch of tissues. I pray they ease up soon and you feel better soon. Janice hi i hope you feel better soon . Do you have a cold or is it the change in weather with the trees and grass new flowers makeing your nose act up ??. My nose acts up every spring, summer i always feel like i have a cold so i have to use nose sprays most of the time it helps.
Gypsy, I think it's just some pollen that has me so messed up. I've spoken to quite a few locals that are experiencing big-time sinus symptoms too, so I'm also wondering if the tornado stirred up stuff to make it worse than usual. :)

Janice, I think you did an amazing job by only going over your budget by $160+ having included provisions for a birthday party with 60 guests! The grin on David’s face when you asked him if he was chasing Rebekah was priceless! 😁 That’s what big brothers are for! (Or big sister in my case since I am the oldest of 5 🤣). Prayers that you will be quickly relieved from battling the allergies. Mine have just cleared up themselves. They sure can put a damper on springtime! Allergies are horrible! Honey, lemon and apple cider vinegar in the morning. A tsp of each try
I get a lot of those bonus 200 gift points when I buy certain gift cards at Kroger I also got mine on the Amazon card. When I scroll all the way down to the bottom of my digital coupons it said I could use that Amazon gift card for the 200 bonus points again but I don't shop Amazon so I didn't get another one I give those to my great nieces and nephews for birthdays. Right now I have one for Arby's. Sometimes I'll have seven or eight cards that I can choose from with the bonus 200 points that's when I really get the gas points
I wish we had a tin box around where I live. You do such a good job at showing you can still eat well on a budget.

Yes Coleen, the back half of the house is built into the ground, so the bedrooms there are safe spaces for us. :)

Does your family have schedule snack times for the kids? I only have 3 kiddo's and with them being on summer break they are going through the snacks like crazy.
Make sure the meals are protein packed, and that helps last longer, snacks need protein also, and I try to do 2 snacks… I find when my kids always wnat to snack , I tell them get a drink and find something to do, your bored not hungry

Oh no, Coleen, it's still there - safe and sound! It's already dark outside, so I can look out the window and see it changing colors right now. :) It's a beautiful addition to our property and I'm very thankful for it.

Sorry your allergies are so bad. I understand I am also having a rough allergy season this year. Something that helps me with the itchy throat and nose is nasal rinses.

Sorry to be nosy here but are you on any medications that would cause the coughing, the reason I asked is because I was on lisinopril for high blood pressure and it caused coughing it was like a being stick with a sticker in my throat
Be careful. That lemon balm could invade your entire yard! Its invasive here, but i sure love the aroma.
Oh, I do love it, but I have a pot that we try to contain it in. I also keep my spearmint and peppermint in pots too so they don't get out of hand. :)
