Most of the strangely dirty carpets have been used by their owners in workplaces and public places.
Many carpets are used by the owner in the garden for weekend cleaning, but they are not properly maintained and many are used at work and outdoors.
Some of the carpets that come to our center are due to flood damage, and some are due to sewage overflow damage

I think it would be a good idea to wear masks while cleaning a carpet that potentially has had sewage exposure, any aerosol and spray of water around your face, eyes, mouth and nose could expose you to harmful infections. A face shield maybe helpful also.

We did it🤔
I saw him/them clean both sides. And kept washing until the water rinsed clean, underneath and on the topside. You can tell it was completely saturated in very fine elements of dirt & other types of filth and debris. He was very thorough.
