Had some fun time in our practice room with Dua Lipa's Levitating. Not an exact cover!

great tone, honest playing. this is a real bass player who respects the song and does not go crazy with fancy runs. tasteful use of the B string in the bridge. all round good.

There's nothing wrong with having fun with the song and showing off. If you're not then why even bother uploading, we can just listen to the actual song.
@@dildonius Most of the time it's not musical to me. There are a lot of "show off" videos I like and watch over and over again, but they're adding to the song or they play an original.
The random slap or tap shows and fast licks are not fun to watch/listen for me. But I'm guilty as well...done the random slapping stuff...felt good, but sounded horrible :D
As for the upload, I only can speak for myself: I like making videos.
Going crazy with fancy runs can really kick ass when it's done well. It isn't "overplaying" if it really works well with the song.
This song just doesn't really call for it, that's all.
A great interpretation of a super funky bassline - and you didn't go nuts with superfluous fills and runs. That's the mark of a damn good bassist. Respect and kudos!

Where are the variations dude? Those are the sweetest parts of the bass.
I felt this version was more my taste. Maybe next time I will do an exact cover and include everything from the original.
