These ranking videos are a godsend. The online descriptions of places are pretty vague so being able to see what each park has and how advanced each trail is is super helpful. Definitely going to get out to airline once this gloomy rain goes away
Glad it helps! I try not to show everything in each video to don’t still leaves some exploring to do for people that haven’t been yet. Really, most of the trails in Charlotte are pretty good even if they don’t suit my specific riding style. Gotta check them out!
Honestly was hoping you would put Airline at #1. Looks like you left Cedar Valley and Fisher last for #1. I'm not a huge fan of Cedar. Sweet leaf is too short and the flow on it is weird with the uphill half way through near Nervous Breakdown. You have to peddle too hard to enjoy Roaster Coaster. Double black sabbath is fun. Nervous Breakdown jumps are too big with no real way to work up to them like Spruce Goose and Airline. Airline also has the tech trails and XC trails. Something really for everyone at Airline and the flow, jumps, and berms are just overall the best in CLT when you consider Airline park altogether.
Airline is definitely good for progression but if you’re not hitting Nervous Breakdown, you’re also not hitting the “airline” line. Nervous is far easier, just higher consequence on one of the jumps. Tech trails are also good, but very short and most are relatively the same outside of Roger Roger. Xc trails are also very short for xc. Fisher and cedar have far more xc, far more tech, and more “fun” jumps. Also, roaster coaster definitely requires some skill to master but after the first berm, you can clear the whole trail to the bottom with no pedals. That’s kinda where we disagree. I think Airline is pretty one dimensional. If you don’t like jumps, you most likely won’t come to airline as there are better xc options or tech options elsewhere. The same cannot be said for cedar/fisher. Just my opinion 🤘
Never knew there was cross country trails there. Every time I see something about it, folks are jumping, and I'm not into jumping. Something to add to trail description, what kind of niegborhood they are in. I live in Statesville, so I don't know if certain trails are safe for you to leave you're car😉
Good spot. Don’t need to worry too much about things being left out. Though, I don’t typically leave anything worth stealing in or on the car at any trail I go to.
Last summer there was a car broken into at LKNSP in the middle of a very busy Saturday afternoon. But this is biggest mistake, she left her purse on the front seat. Easy grab n go.
When I moved to the area in 2006, those first few years were virtually rain free. I used to ride almost every morning at the Itusi, Fisher Farm, and NorthMeck. Itusi was the closest to me though, and I rode there a lot. But then when the area turned rainy, the trails started to close a lot. And at least back then, the Itusi would close for two week's sometimes after a rain event. So that being the best trail for me, I used to complain a lot about it being closed. I didn't know at the time, but Charlotte folks looked at the Itusi as a destination trail, so I was looked at in a bad way. Last year I only rode the trail twice because Mezzepa was open more after the rain.
I see it now rewatching. Hard spot to see that in the middle of a corner though. Maybe move the sign up the trail of mark off the entrance with tape or blue rope like the lower section. Not just me either, several people were also ripping that one

Great video series... thanks for sharing.
Outbound Lighting Mount I see. Love it.
i prefer the odd days but i'm really just here for the jump lines - my #1 park
Good timing on your ride. These trails will be closed for the entire rest of the year after this rain. 😂
Figured it would be. Unfortunately #1 will most likely not be until the new year too
The bar turns are huge
Going big in 2025. Bar turns 🔛🔝

Fish bowl effect…
How do you suggest getting rid of it while also keeping a good wide angle perspective?
You went pretty far out of your way to go the wrong way twice on a trail named “closed”
Which trail was closed? Didn’t see any signs up
