Dude that's legitimately a bike park sized (and build quality) feature! Toad's road looks like a blast. I can't wait to see what you accomplish before the snow comes in!
And not just a bike park feature but a really nice one. I took a stab building a step up. These guys make it look easy ... Took me a full day plus half the morning and I couldn't use my hands for 3 days after they were so sore. Jump sick though. Totally worth it!
Of course once it is safe to travel again, Seth's gonna have to take a trip up there to sample Toad's Road, and Phil's gonna need to go have a go at Berm Peak ;)
I can see a cranky ol lady living in that shed. Every day she like: "Them pesky young people come here and ride over my house. I say SHOO! SHOO! Away with ye pesky young people!"
I’m sure there’s probably a lot of unanswered questions about why I built this the way I did. There's some reasoning behind those decisions and a lot of those questions should be cleared up in following videos (at least that's my goal). Honestly, hats off to you for this, this has to be one of the coolest features yet, you took the speed from the whale tail, sent you up a massive hump, and yeeted you down back to earth, it really could set you up for a epic high speed line of jumps and more.
Judging by your channel name I think you'll appreciate this. When I was in the planning stages I was thinking about this feature in terms of electronic components and how this is very similar to a capacitor.
Hey Phil, do you actually have a bit of a construction background? Rim tape, pressure treated only where needed, PL up top... you definitely know what you're doing. What an absolute beast of a feature!
I love it dude! The GoPro POV of you going down the trail looked just like a trail on highland or whistler. I hope I catch you on the local trails someday so we can take a run!
We should all pitch in and this guy a big Trail and MTB award. I mean a big shiny hefty mtb trophy 🏆 I mean I don’t even watch TV anymore. I’m watching guys like Phil, Seff and Clint Gibbs. 😎👍🏾
I'm glad I'm not the only one who digs post holes that way. So much easier when there's a lot of rocks and stuff and you need to get deep. It's not like you can't fill in around a post if it's a bigger hole.
It's huge!!!! Btw if you predrill the first lumber with a bigger drill (outer diameter of the "wrong" screw) you get the same effect and the lumber will be pulled together (more work...of course). With the glue....cut the tip a little shorter then there is less resistance and less chance that it comes out at the side. I have been there too 😉
Nice job Phil, hope soon get tons of visits and get the nice rewards. since then and beyond keep on rocking¡¡¡ good stuff & hard work. lil tip to use what u said bad screws u need clamp both pieces with some hand clamps they really help in pre setting parts when building things.
Hey Phil, you can still use those screws if you pre-drill the hole. Alternatively, drive it in, back it out, then drive it in again since it kind of pre-drills its own hole.
Great channel 👍 I really enjoy the rides. Can you do some trail videos with older guys ? I'm 45 and need some more inspiration from older guys . Thanks
Yeah, and next to the tree house would be a Little „parking Space“ for the bikes when you want a Little rest. Then you just go into the house and chill. 👌🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼
Phil honestly you should make a couple features that involve the trees, like instead of digging post holes how about build a bridge and drop through the trees or something like that! just an idea
Most likely just doesnt want to keep switching between shovel and post hole digger lol did you watch the rocks he was pulling out, that he would have to dig out with a shovel. Makes sense he would just use the shovel.
“I want to make it a little more sketchy” - Flare the end on the back side to create the ultimate roller coaster ramp jump, to gap to step up landing! Keep doing what you do, dude!
I think when you were told to use a post hole digger to dig those massive holes you misunderstood. For holes that big, you use a post hole digger to carve out enough to put a 1/4 stick of dynamite in and blow it. You can also use a drill with an auger attachment/bit for the same purpose. Cool feature man! love what you're doing with this
Phil, you need some Diablo carbide tooth pruning blades for your reciprocating saw. Game changer for cutting roots and things. Would love to see an overview of the place/map.

Snowboarding the features in the winter??
berem peak

Hey Seth, when are you going to get a post hole digger?
Turns out the all caps GIANT was NOT clickbait! hahaha That trail is looking super fun dude, keep it up!
Hey Alex I’m a huge fan!
You know it's hardcore when Phil give a "wohoo" while doing a roll up to it
Alex, still havent heard back from ya, you still want me to make you that Machete? Need some way to contact you since i couldnt find your email
I love that you guys are watching each other's videos the moment they come out.
Looking forward to seeing you ride it Alex
Crankworx will be at Phil’s house in a few years😂
Fr
Definitely
And berm peak
No dark fest
Audi nines 2
Digging holes that deep is no joke, fair play.
Post hole diggers work going down about a foot. No good for his depth.
Phil: "I still wanna make it a little bit more, uhh..."
Me in my head: "Finished? Safe? Smooth?"
Phil: "Sketchy"
Hotel? Travago
Phil: "Even though this doesn't look steep..."
Me: "No dude, that looks straight up and down"
Add a floor and insulation you could have a nice cabin!
I'm genuinely wondering if he'll make some type of sheltered storage under there... I can imagine a tiny kitchen setup with mini fridge
I can see a cranky ol lady living in that shed.
Every day she like: "Them pesky young people come here and ride over my house. I say SHOO! SHOO! Away with ye pesky young people!"
@@Erafune yes yes 😂 you pesky muppets, go and, "shread" on your own house!
He already has a road gap, a whale tail and now this. Then he says next episode is gonna be special, I’m scared do what’s next😂
Canyon gap probably. Did anyone see a canyon in the background at any point?
my bet is a step up
chairlift
new downhill world championship line
or hes gonna have a whole video dedicated to backfliping it
I can’t wait to see the trails grow and grow!
Phil’s gonna end up with the gnarliest backyard on UA-cam
clearly haven't seen berm peak
Berm peaks on another level mate

Someone from marketing at polaris needs to get this young man a side by side!
!!! DAMN !!! Phil. WTF ? Great !!!
Excellent work
Phil and Hailey
👍👍👍
I love how everyone is making their own trail system.
They should have some sort of contest or race when they all have a lot of trail done. I'd definitely want to see Seth race Phil down Berm Peak
This week, on New Yankee Trail Build.
Most underrated mtb channel of all time
Someone just give this man 1,000 acres on a mountain and a $1,000,000 so he can make us a bike park already!
Love the new style vids Phil 🤟

100% absolutely love your Mcgyvering for a lumber loader.
It made this so much easier, but I had to laugh at myself when I realized I basically just re-invented the wheel barrow :P
Skills With Phil u should insulate it and make it a cabin
That’s epic. Great how you consider nature in your builds respect ✊

Phil lookin like 70's carpenter with that hat and his shirt tucked in lol

This thing is crazy, redbull might need some help at Joyride next year. Love ya work mate!
Meh
Bro, massive dedication in the rain! Hats off to ya for sticking it out.

monika laosi have you rode that trail. It looks too rad for me
Early ! Online school is about to start but 😂imma Watch this
Man, its crazy seeing the build quality improvements over time. This thing looks so pro.
Going to be in great shape digging all those holes!
"Hi I'm Phil welcome to my post hole digging channel!"
Love all of the building and new content Phil!
You gave me much needed inspiration to keep building my own trail network on my land. You guys rock!
Phil’s trails got out of hand quickly. And I love it
Nice job! It is slowly turning into berm peak!
Great Job Guys! Looks like a lot of fun is being had there!

I feel like you could put like a tool storage unit under it 😂😂
Hey Phil, you can still use those screws if you pre-drill the hole. Alternatively, drive it in, back it out, then drive it in again since it kind of pre-drills its own hole.
Pro tip about the caulk. Make sure you poke a hole even after you cut the tip otherwise the pressure will come out the backside. :)
Yup, I figured that much out on the second go 😂 good thing I didn’t post this for the world to laugh at me.
that thing is insane!
I would love to see Phil build a house. I have no idea how it would turn out, but it would definitely be the most unique structure on the planet.
Damn that thing is insane lol got one of those at my local bike park here in CT but that thing is DEFF bigger lmao
Clamping the boards to the cart, nice!
Wow. Just wow, for a backyard build that is immense!!
It might be smart to cover the decking of the wooden features with chicken wire, it will make it easier to ride in wet conditions. Also it looks sick.
Keep up the great work Phil!!
there’s something about this man that’s just so impressive
Man this thing looks scary, and you know it is when even phil agrees it looks like a wall riging up to it
That feature is super cool you could easily turn that into a trail shack
I really hope UA-cam gives phill plenty of funding because he has so much skill so he deserves the best equipment
"Glad this isn't my day job" Haha! Classic. Nice work guys. Looking sendy!
This Trail is Starting to Look Sick!
Needs to be more sketchy? Ride it in the rain ! Great feature Phil 👍
Whoa, that thing is huge!
Great channel 👍 I really enjoy the rides. Can you do some trail videos with older guys ? I'm 45 and need some more inspiration from older guys . Thanks
Mad skills, Phil.... Mad skills.
Phil, loving your dedication and the effort that has gone into this. You have inspired me to build a swing set for my kids lol.
I did not know how much I needed Phil to upload. Hell yes
"I am a Dwarf and I'm digging a hole,
Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole." ^^
Nice video dude ! :D
Is this a Yogscast reference? Wow. haha.
This is so satisfying to watch.
I'm not quit sure if it's big enough.... lol That is awesome Phil!
Your backyard antics will prove helpful to the future of my channel ideas!
Wonderful video Phil. Keep shredding!
This thing looks like a BLAST!!!
Wow in the rain too
Thanks for the construction screw tip! I was always wondering why my projects had gaps.
We will have to wait for that GIANT announcement in the next video. Trail is looking rad!
Love the build videos! My dream feature would be a tree house with a ramp up and a step down out.
Yeah, and next to the tree house would be a Little „parking Space“ for the bikes when you want a Little rest.
Then you just go into the house and chill. 👌🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@jojojo9647 Yup, icy cooler with your beverage of choice and maybe some snacks. Then off the drop you go for more shred time.
That looks FUN!
Man O man...you do some nice work, not to mention the AMOUNT of work...KUDOS
Phil honestly you should make a couple features that involve the trees, like instead of digging post holes how about build a bridge and drop through the trees or something like that! just an idea
Your names for all your features are so cool.
That is not what the post digger is for Phil...
I’m confused by his tactics of putting posts in the ground...
Most likely just doesnt want to keep switching between shovel and post hole digger lol did you watch the rocks he was pulling out, that he would have to dig out with a shovel. Makes sense he would just use the shovel.
Lol
Bridger Jones
Bruh, did you just try and tell a goofball what to do? 😂
@@Bradlifer Something anyone who's ever dug a hole in New England has first-hand experience with.
This is legit unbelievable!
Grave diggin' with Phil
“I want to make it a little more sketchy” - Flare the end on the back side to create the ultimate roller coaster ramp jump, to gap to step up landing! Keep doing what you do, dude!
Backyard goals
Annnddd this time on Skills with Phil we build... A HOUSE!!!
That thing looks pretty gnarly! Excited to see how the backyard evolves.
That thing is sick!
Dude props to home that’s that things massive and he built it by himself like I got respect
The forest catapult ,LOL... Great stuff Phil..
Now Phil... the feature you just made is MASSIVE
Hey Phil I love watching you build all these amazing trails and I actually live in Massachusetts which isn’t that far from you
Same
I like the way you build. Keep up the good work.
That thing is crazy huge
2:04
Why is this so funny 😂
wow Phil you out did yourself Sick!
The most justified use of the word 'giant' i have ever seen.
I think when you were told to use a post hole digger to dig those massive holes you misunderstood. For holes that big, you use a post hole digger to carve out enough to put a 1/4 stick of dynamite in and blow it. You can also use a drill with an auger attachment/bit for the same purpose.
Cool feature man! love what you're doing with this
Rent a power auger made especially for post holes. 2-man machine with a gas engine. Punch a post hole 3 feet deep in a couple of minutes.
Respect for doing a lot by yourself. I. Starting at my house and it is a LOT of work!!
Really liking these build videos keep up the great work!
Great channel! Enjoying it a lot. Keep up the good work Phil!
I was sweating watching you dig that!
Cheers for the great content mate!!!
@7:15 I'm thinking "that's a huge construction", a few seconds later Phil shrunk and it apparently is gigantic!!
Phil, you need some Diablo carbide tooth pruning blades for your reciprocating saw. Game changer for cutting roots and things. Would love to see an overview of the place/map.
That's what I was using towards the end actually!
Definitely a step up coming
