Sir, as you mentioned one top ranked army officer said in March 1971 that every thing will be under control within a month. In that context, they started severe crackdown in whole Bangladesh from 25th March 1971 (still remembered as Darkest night in Bangladesh history) to control and eliminate all protesters in Bangladesh. But ended with shameful defeat. Still Pak army believes that they could win very easily over Bangladeshi people if India did not support and interfere in Bangladesh. So, they think within present Pak territory they can control anyone forcefully which they failed in Bangladesh due to long distance and inadequate logistic support. This is the confidence why now they are doing such injustice on Pakistani people. It seems without revolution inside the own Army soldiers nothing positive will happen at this moment.
