Her behavior here can be explained by the first 10 minutes of Part 1 video. BhanuRekha grew up listening to and adoring the stories of Savitri amma where she would sing praises of this larger than life being of a man, her forever perfect, forever unattainable lover. Sadly, the young girl, very impressionable at that age, carried that askewed view of love into her adulthood and found a replacement image in Amitabh. (Who is just a normal, even slightly insecure and controlling man). This person Rekha is drawing here is partly Savitri Amma’s fiction, partly her own imagination.
Her parents destroyed her totally 💯 Her father abandoned her She lost her self worth She needs to get s Good psychologist And get in touch with her real self To ger personal development She is not Very intelligent She is hiding lots of pain inside herself
How can You love a person To death like Amitabh Bacchan ???? Life defining moment???? Rekha needed a man That She can Never get Cz She had a father on distance She Never grew out of that age Feel pity for her
She always felt like her father was perfect as a lover even though he was nothing like that , I feel that it became normal for her to let the man be a cheater because that is what she saw as a young girl . So for Amitabh to be still married and still have an affair with her was something that she felt like was normal . I feel she just wanted love and attention instead of loyalty, because she never saw loyalty in her own family.
isn't it funny? she barely saw her father and never even had a conversation with him yet she admired him so much. she barely sees amitabh now and still loves him so much from afar. how sad! she deserves so much more.
I guess for her father its not her words its subconscious impression of mother who viewed her father like that. And for amitabh history repeated bcoz she didn't knew any better
Sad... Maybe... Let's hope she is at least at peace and enjoying the comfort money gives her from working hard, as well as her status of legendary actress and beauty icon. It's already a lot more than many of us.
She clearly stated how much she was in love with Amit ji .... what more honestly could she have showed ... even if Amit ji reciprocated the love it's her choice to deny it ... how brave of her to accept she loved a man madly ... and deny that he loved back... making it sound one sided and not creating problems in his married life ! How pure is that.... this generation is gone ... never going to witness such legends again...
the social situation and position they r in.. she is trying to seek soem attention from amitji.. Rekha clearly by denying Amitji's involvement showing Amitji some generosity which is actually now worthless since Amitji give this situation a shit. Also Amitji was married with kid that time. she cannot just involve with him.
She acts like all the women in the world r obsessed w/ Amitabh just because she is. Parveen Babi was terrified of Amitabh thought he was going to kill her. Zeenat Aman is my favourite I think. All these actresses who’ve worked w/ A.B seem 2B unhinged to me. Absolutely love ❤️ Zeenat Aman & she’s naturally beautiful and sane and a survivor.
The voices of both the ladies is so mesmerizing, soothing and melliflous, besides their excellent command over the English Language. They also seem to bond really well. A very sophisticated show and so flawlessly executed.
She's an obsessive lover ..ppl who r saying she is lying plz understand that it's a very sensitive issue n can ruin a family..bt still she was sooo open abt her been madly in love with AB ...one needs alot of guts to say that...
Her love for AB is like Meera’s love for Krishna. She is so well spoken. She is like a living proof that one doesn’t need to attend school to gain knowledge & wisdom.
Rekha's Love for Bachchan is just mad passion. At least she had a Love. She's very intelligent and beautiful. Full of Grace and Class... Her Life would make a great movie :)
Why is everyone saying that she is lying. Read between the lines. She accepted she is madly in love with him. She cannot tell everything in the interview
If you listen closer she refers to Jaya Bachan as Didi at 8:10 which makes me think why would she call her didi and also they have tried changing the word listen closely
The lack of a father figure can really mess up a girl. Rekha clearly replicates this in adult life by chasing an unattainable man who treated her the same way as her father did.
MahaVakyas Fundamental human nature and desires remain the same regardless of which part of India you call home. People have different lifestyles. It doesn't make them a special breed or any less human. There are just as many so called publicly/ socially 'respectable' doctors, businessmen, priests etc with secret families on the side who behave exactly like Gemini. The difference is that they're not public so you don't hear about it. Does not make them less trashy.
'...passionately, insanely, desperately, especially hopelessly in love with him!' Rekha knew she was carving out an abyss of an unrequited love but couldn't help it. Nobody can, for it is love not a deal. Simi knows the truth inside out, so do we, and there comes the tap on the knee (13:10).
The look on Simi's face when Rekha lied about her personal relation with Amitabh! Now I have some genuine respect for Simi for being an authentic person who just sees everything through.
Rekha describing her pure love and unconditional obsession with Amitabh gave me goosebumps. Not many people have the courage to own up to their feelings this way. Her devotion is truly reminiscent of Mirabai's towards Krishna.
13:15 Suna hai admi aurat ki izzat aur ghar bachane ke liye jhoot bolta hai. But this living legend did that thing for her guy. I swear she brought tears to my eyes. The depth in her voice shows what all she has been thru. All she wanted was true love, but she got EVERYTHING except true love. I hope atleast in heaven she is blessed with her true love. And if you actually see, her father was the reason she has been through allll this. If her father was nice, she wouldnt have to enter this field forcefully and would have definitely found true love. Im sorry but her father did something so horrible.
Admi kB ghr bchane k lie jhuth bolta h🙄🙄 I think you are either too much in some influence or in wrong community...it's mostly women who sacrifice their izzat and lives for man or in hope that her man will come😒😒 whole bollywood is full of such cases..where you can see it clearly.. needless to say the world and Especially India is too
On t one hand PPL are writing in t comments section that she's so honest, this interview is as so natural n on t other, everyon is bent upon proving that she's lying when she says there was no no personal association...why can't we accept it as she says it n stop making our own judgement
The section where Rekha talks about Amitabh made me tear up. Her love runs deep and it is a pity she was destined to meet him at the wrong time. She clearly wanted marriage and children but it wasn't destined to happen with him. It is also sad that she was never acknowledged or accepted by her father, Gemini Ganesan. Her life reminds me so much of Umrao Jaan Ada - coveted by many and unloved by people who matter the most to her. It is nice to see the child alive in her despite everything!
After watching this interview and the book on Rekha, have realised her life was not easy it takes immense determination to fight the odds and be a happy content person. The sad part is Rekha lied in her interview, Simi ji has definitely done her homework when asked abt Vinod Mehra and Mr Bachan, Simi ji reaction at 13:10 said it all. Much love to both the women .
So many judgements on Rekha. I like the way she showed her respect for AB. For sure she would hve wanted him but he lived upto his marriage with Jaya. Great lady Rekha and you cant stop falling in love with her voice
She's a dreamer in a world full of realists. That's why she appears enigmatic to ordinary people who can't truly understand the complexity of the nature. These "practical" people call her a fool..an emotional fool. When life throws you in the midst of a storm and hits you with painful realities never giving a chance to find your shelter, you cling on to the good memories and lock them up in your brain long after they have become part of the history. For her those memories were enough and she cherishes it dearly. You can't control who you fall in love with, married or single. But you can choose whether you should act upon it or not.She is happy that her name is associated with the man she loves and it will forever be remembered like that. She is protecting the honor of the man she loves even if it means denying the affair publicly. It's subjective depending on how people look at it.I'm a dreamer myself and feel lost in the crowd of ruthless realists. One finds shelter in one's own brain. One becomes prisoner of their own mind.
+Charvi Singh i couldn't agree more but then 'if there's you and me , have faith there will be many (even if they lay locked away in the shelters of their mind in a world so practical and cold)'
...And whether you like it or N...you are dam..n right. But the world is not full of realists...and most of us are "ordinary" people. If you try to get too much into the complexities, you will miss out on the happiness around you. If she likes to cherish her memories of a road to nowhere...feel happy for her, and wish her well...and proceed to enjoy yourself. Keep it simple stupid. It's called KISS. Just don't put a comma after the simple... it could affect your self image! I really liked your perspective. You are a good woman.
It seems so funny ..I can't understand why these Bollywood ladies opt for married men when they have so much of choice! Interestingly most of them are South Indian women marrying Punjabi men. They are also famous as home breakers... lolz... Hema Malini married Dharmendra, Sri Devi married Boney Kapoor. These men didn't even care about the pain they gave to their first wives and their kids... Rani Mukherjee is a Bengali babe but married a Punjabi lad Aditya Chopra (Director of DDLJ) who was already married but left his wife for Rani. Rekha, another Tamil woman, almost took away Amitabh Bachchan from his wife Jaya! Actually the men should also be blamed who fell in the trap. Kareena Kapoor has also married a man who is already a father of grown up kids. Shilpa Shetty (a Bengaluru woman) married an already married person Raj Kundra (a Punjabi). Eventually the demise of Sri Devi has turned out to be very dramatic as she couldn't also survive much longer after Boney's first wife death in 2012. More painful is the fact that she could've been saved .... There are so many questions left unanswered about what happened that evening in that hotel room!
Simi, Please make a comeback with this show! I’m binge-watching all of these videos and this is really such an in-depth look at our stars that we don’t get anymore. Miss this level of personality and connection in Hindi TV
She is not lying. It is just a very sensitive issue/ part of her life. For us, it's gossip, and juicy news. But for Rekha, it is... it was something important for sure, and she has every right to protect herself from anybody's curiosity/ questions. She has every right to be in love with him for the rest of her life. Rekha is a legend! A great actress! A phenomenal actress, and an inspiring woman to me. I love her!
Correct! Simmi wouldn't dare use that line of questioning, those bewildered expressions and pressing tone with Mr AB. Double standards since Rekha is a single woman. Soft target for this type of invasive questioning. She has also interviewed Amitabh MANY times- did she even mention Rekha's name once??
Simi Garewal"s interview on Rendevous with Rekha is wonderful.FirstlybSimi is a great journalist and sincere and outreaching. She gives confidence and affection to the interviewer. Secondly Rekha comes outvasva special human being..genuine, extremely intelligent and powerful. She is so smart, she covers that all with the elaborate clothes and make up. She doesn't need that . I came to know a very fine and elegant lady with class. I've also heard Hema Malini on interviews and she is no match for Rekha
I am watching in Sept 2019... and I may watch it in 2040 ... 2060 :D :D This actress is like a magnet I guess... I am really really really curious about Rekha since always..... She seems mystery... She is still standing with her head high that's more curious for me.... She effortlessly , confidently saying she is in love with AB by all means.... Also she is saying why she is still single... How courageous , and honest she is.... And I loved all the points she said about AB....Respect.... I am not much fan of him but by listening to her I am feeling like knowing about him more... As my dad is fan of old movies and songs I grew up listening and watching to ultimate classy milestone bollywood movies and the melodious classy songs... I love these ppl from old era... and Rekha I feel a terrible connection with her... Look at her charm... :)
Yes, it's not a man that makes a woman secure, it has to be from within her. True! I am surprised to get this answer from her, but yes, I always felt so.
Reka's pain is immensely noticeable. She needs some serious therapy. Only a woman that has felt that kind of pain and suffering can put on such a show of strength.
"Completely, passionately, insanely, desperately, hopelessly.. " OMG! The dimension n profundity of LOVE!! Rekha's abiding love for Amitabh Bachchan is so resplendent n marvellously encapsulated in the endearing words she uses to express it. Loved the candour n pride with which she gushed about Amitabh Bachchan being a major influence in her life in shaping her personality in terms of demeanour, diction, intonation, language n other traits of the magnetic personality. AB : Rekha's Idol..Ideal..Passion..Obsession.. .. Just like a teenage student's adoration of her male teacher who, to her, is the epitome of all the virtues, all the traits including attractive physical attributes, baritone voice , deportment.. Simiji deserves kudos for an excellent n highly engaging session!
She is much better than him: more candid, kinder, he does not deserve her.But she admires him.As for me I would rather to admire her in the same way she admires him.She deserves awe, very good person she is.
Why is it Ok to ask Rekha about her personal life in your show, Amitabh wasn't subject to the same question by you? Is it the stardom or gender liberty??
Ma'am Amitabh was also asked subjected to a question about Rekha. You can watch it in his rendezvous at: ua-cam.com/video/6jj7z7rt_9E/v-deo.html . Thank you for your interest in our channel, regards, SimiGarewalOfficial Team
It is ok to ask , that is part of interview , she can deny or accept it , which she played a game , she was totally crazy for him , that she disguised herself to see him in hospital
I guess it's not just one person asking another woman... I guess it's two women talking about it..the comfort level that woman shares with the other woman is easy...
Rekha is not messed up. She is a twin flame. We can spend an entire lifetime in one namastae. Not everyone can relate to this for there are very few twin flames on this planet. Thanks Simi. I love watching you. You both are beautiful and strong women.
One thing I observed she was trying hard to dig inside her head, but she didn’t get the answers she was expecting from her so she was getting pissed and it’s visible from her expressions especially on the topic of her father, Vinod Mehra and Amitabh Bachan.
God she is Aphrodite incarnate ❤️ I have always loved Rekha but after watching this interview I feel for her so much...As a sensitive person and a fellow Libran...I can’t help but sob. I can’t even be mad at her because I know any lover would do the same... She loves so purely like Krishna...true unconditional lover Rekha ji ❤️ “she has a warrior’s soul with a poet’s mentality.”- someone lol Love you forever Rekha ji and Thank you so much Simi ji for doing these interviews ❤️
It's quite sad her story and background.. falling in love with someone you can't have it happens people. at the end she lost but she was still an independent women who was broken.. She can lie but her admitting she loved him what happened between them will always be remembered between them.
Kudos to Simi Ma'am for asking tough decisions so sensitively. Also, nobody realises that Simi ma'am is really keeping her relationships at stake by asking such questions. It is difficult to do that ma'am. Respect from a budding journalist. Love you.
My admiration for Rekha, made me watch this episode, i have since then watched Rendezvous with Simi Garewal and its so simple and heart warming to hear each and every interview,.
She seems like someone whose satisfied with getting just the smallest sign of affection. Which is annoying to me coz people should expect more. But thats what her lyf has made her. And she's beautiful anyway.
Rekha is truly an timeless beauty and powerful individual. She is clear in her mind, ignore the personal relationships but she's had a tragic childhood and yet she remains so strong.
LMAO Simi was so PISSSSSED OFF after Rekha said there was no affair... PRICELESS she lost her cool in an instant. Anyway I find Rekha very fascinating she is actually very in tune with herself, honest, and very wise. I think thats why some of you think shes weird. Shes actually speaking truth here but you don't understand because you cant relate.
The only thing I agree with her , that love can happen, but she is,not thrilled , it cause pain in any women's heart not yo have the man she loves,is,not in her life
I don't think Simi lost her cool she just appeared to be frustrated at the numerous jarring contradictions and blatant omissions and history re writing on Rekha's part. It had to be borderline insulting as well because Simi is apart of the film industry and was present for most of the events in Rekha's life and she insisted on lying I love at the beginning where Simi says "the real Rekha lies in her fantasy" Truer words were never spoken. Rekha rewrites her story as a coping mechanism for all the pain and disappointment she endured
Watching this on October 2019...came to see the first five minutes of part 1.... Ending on watching all the 3 parts.... Such marvelous lady....so many pains in her life...still such a calm personality....
Every time I feel low, every time I feel that things are beyond my control, I come back to watch this interview and get a sense of perspective and calm. Thank you for uploading this. I must have watched it 10-15 times, and each time I am all the more fascinated by Rekha ji and her perspective ❤️
I'm American and only recently more familiar with Bollywood stars (thanks, youtube!), but there are two actors I've been aware and rather liked for some time: Rekha and Shahruk Khan. Both wonderful actors in their own right. Watching this interview now with Rekha is eye-opening. I feel a mixture of frustration with and sadness for her. Frustrated, because she's not being forthright, and you can see it in her eyes when she's answering questions about AB. She sounds very mystical and "deep," but she actually seems stuck in a different time period in her life, when she was much younger. She seems emotionally immature but covering it up with her words, she's really trying to watch herself here. But denying everything her marriage, AB's speculated about affair, her childhood and the missing father figure - one has to feel for her, she hasn't actually healed from her emotional wounds. But this fairy-tale story she's telling us, Simi Garewal, or herself makes her seem like she's deluding herself, giving her an air of sincerity. I suppose having to grow up so quickly at such a young age would force one to create a world that one could survive in, in one's head. It's her coping mechanism, perhaps, and I can only have empathy for her pain. Still, that's her personal pain and life, and I still enjoy watching her in films. Wishing her well. Great interviewer, too.
I am totally awestruck by this woman. However, I can't say if she has accepted everything and made peace with it or she is in utter denial about her childhood as well as her romantic feelings. It's beautiful but at the same time sad to look at her talk so fondly about the unrequited love of hers.
After watching Mahanati the movie that talks about Savitri Ganeshan and the kind of person Gemini Ganeshan was, and having heard how she explained her mother's infatuation with GG, it's not hard to understand the reasoning behind how she held that adoration for BigB. Because that's how her mom was about GG. So she doesn't see anything wrong with it. She silently loved a man who was married to 2 other women. Difference here is that for Rekha, she never had a relationship with him, she just had the same blind adoration. LOVE her for how she jumped and schooled Simmi at 19:06 when Simmi gives credit for Jaya B's sense of security to BigB and Rekha is like "Nope, that's all her! She's just a strong woman!"
I watched all three parts and I'm literally crying as I can feel Rekha ma'am s pain during her evolvement, I can relate that "Aliens" word and Only "Never Giving Up Attitude For Any Kind Of Storms In Life" kind of people and also those who has the more strength to turn the Pain into Power can relate these episodes of Rekha ma'am and I really fell in love with Rekha ma'am, May you live long ma'am❤Love you so much Rekha ma'am❤
M watching it for the second time and feels watching over n over again.... I strongly feel that I get some kind of positive energy from this great woman rekhaji.... Inspite of ups and downs in her lfy she could manage it so nicely, so positively,so camly ...what we get to know is how to live a life..she says she has everything of nothing.. Thats life only the person like her can understand.. Just wowww.....
all she wanted from life was love family kids..its so unfortunate she is not bestowed with any of it.. feel very sad for her.. deprived of fathers love..no love from the man she is so madly in love with.. so sad..
then why the hell fall for a man who is already married..she should have maintained the distance even if Amitabh was pursuing which I doubt..Am sure she seduced him into the affair and he regretted it later and ditched her as it was wrong to his lovely homely wife Jaya who left her career to take care of him and the family and never left him, but just accepted him with all his mistakes.
This is the first ever interview where I checked out the comments, ranging from she's been too selfless and defiant to let Amitabh be a saint figure and counter with the look in her eyes being that it's a hurt hurt hurt and pure disappointment. Simi ji is a versatile talk show who has mastered the art of making her guests feel respected and be open enough to speak their mind be it Jayalalithaa or Sushmita or Rekha ji, all women have a sense of mutual respect. The part where rekha ji is denying the personal association and accept rather declare her love, it took her immense courage and set her self in that vulnerable pit of fire, as a fellow human if I ever asking her questions I would stop there. She might be in denial or a dreamer but she tried being content with all the set backs. She didn't fight the fire and it's wounds she nursed it. Tended them as best she could with grace and persona which none of our generation can imagine. We sit across a 25 inch screen and want to decide if she needs therapy or she had to outs a married man who was the object of her profound love. Let her be. Let one be. Misery will always hide behind smiles, grace but importantly confidence.
Rekha is the ultimate Diva, unequalled beauty, grace,a dream of every man, truly can be compared to the legendary beauty of Hollywood actress Sophia Loren. As a tamilian also I am proud of her achievements.
Thank you Simiji. You are awesome :) Rekha is truly stunning and gorgeous. I feel an underlying sadness in her and as someone trying to come to peace with herself. We need to feel empathy and not judge her. Accept her as she is. I pray that she will finally heal.
Yes Vasuki - Rekha is gorgeous indeed! After knowing her closely over a lifetime I can say she is quite an extraordinary woman. Very generous in spirit. I think she has created her own peace..and that is important. Thank you for your lovely thoughts..take care..Simi
Epitome of denial ,, such a beautiful and dignified lie ... hats of to you This respected lady is in Denial . Her words and eyes don’t go in same direction . And , well dodged by her must say phenomenal job ,, ::: good old type of love :: only a women can do , not a man s cup of tea !
Rekha went through alot in her life she didnt get what she wanted the most "a family", "a home". After watching this interview u can read between the lines she obviously still loves AB madly & deeply. That was her one true love. Though she is denying there was no affair cuz he is a married man.
Great Bangladeshi n how come u wanna know tht he pay her? Still amitabh n jaya have nothing in Common as they Said in their Interview..not Really Romantic
Well it is very hard to believe, Rekha never read books, news papers as she stated 4:00 in time line. I watched all the 3 parts of the interview and the way Rekha conducted herself throughout, her stock of vocabulary, intelligent witty replies all points to a well read person. 'Browsing' in 2004 only few could use to describe flipping pages of magazines. Only other possibility of her statement being true is, she must have read tons of scripts and stories for the films she did and regular conversation that's goes with the crew in movie making. She seems to have a spine of steel, depth, thoughtful, witty, intelligent. Quite an amazing personality.
This lady Regha is quite something, i am a fast speaker and very impatient with long videos but i found myself entranced by her voice, tone, style, language and attitude. So beautiful in and out. I have never seen her movies, i know her through award shows, functions and interviews that are on youtube, but i am huge fan today in 2023 of the person she is.
Lovely interview of rekhaji... She love AB this is true n she lie about it so clearly. But I believe she can't just say " yeh I love him, we had an affair, spending time together, sleeping together" come on she is giving interview on a national TV. She had to lie!!!! I have a strong feeling they r still seeing each of course hiding from the media n in public they ignore each other loyally. Love hurts it's true. She is a very strong woman n I respect her a lot more n more after knowing about her childhood. No respect for her mum n dad. Her mum push her in cinema when she was just 16. In an interview in London she said that she never wanted to join film industry but she had lots of pressure from her mum. As she was very young n new to Bombay at that time lots of people take advantage of her specially the man in the industry. Love u rekhaji n wish u lots of happiness.
It was very strong love affair between AB and Rakha till Coolie incident. Jaya had tried suicide on couple of times but considering kids, she was helpless. After coolie accident, AB realized true love and dedication of Jaya and then closed all his feeling about Rekha. AB has moved on...So now Rekha ...! It is not good to cursing Jaya as she was wife of AB before Rekha came in his life. Now, all are happy with their choice...thats fine.
Her behavior here can be explained by the first 10 minutes of Part 1 video.

Strawman Arnie very true so much depression and mood swings .
'Can', doesn't mean it 'will'.
yess very true👍i thinkk
'...passionately, insanely, desperately, especially hopelessly in love with him!' Rekha knew she was carving out an abyss of an unrequited love but couldn't help it. Nobody can, for it is love not a deal. Simi knows the truth inside out, so do we, and there comes the tap on the knee (13:10).
I’m watching it now in 2023 and I’m amazed at how much a person can love someone ❤
Me too
No this still exists nowadays. But people don't recognise and appreciate that. This type of true love exists today too❤
The look on Simi's face when Rekha lied about her personal relation with Amitabh! Now I have some genuine respect for Simi for being an authentic person who just sees everything through.
She had that expression even when Rekha denied her marriage with Vinod Mehra.
Imagine a class 9 drop out speaking such elegant English with promptness 🫠🫠🫠 Rip to the modern education system.
Rekha describing her pure love and unconditional obsession with Amitabh gave me goosebumps. Not many people have the courage to own up to their feelings this way. Her devotion is truly reminiscent of Mirabai's towards Krishna.
The way Rekha speaking English and adding some today's slangs damnnn she is way ahead 😂❤️
She is wayyyyyy outta his league💀
Exactly I was surprised when said "duhhh"
Simply saying duhh doesn't mean she was ahead of her time lmao
@@avinavprasai7940 how about you mind your business?
She also said period
1111
your simiji also knew beforehand that rekha will be lying.
The smile and happiness on her face when she talked about Amitabh. 🥰
Rekha isn’t genuine, atleast it feels like that..Trying so hard to create a persona that’s in her mind..
Hahaha lover her frustration 😄 what a savage host 💋
But I guess Rekha agreed having a one sided love for him .
“A rose is a rose is a rose. A human being is interesting, period.” -Rekhaji
I have never watched a single movie of Rekha mam but this interview alone is enough to become a fan of her. Truly an inspiration for all!! 😩❤️
This is me right now ❤
She's done good films. Umrao Jaan Ada is amazing
I just can't help but cry. The way she defines what she feels for AB is profound, so pure.
So many judgements on Rekha. I like the way she showed her respect for AB. For sure she would hve wanted him but he lived upto his marriage with Jaya. Great lady Rekha and you cant stop falling in love with her voice
Rekha is like wine... so intoxicating and getting better with time!

Simi,
Please make a comeback with this show!
I love her!
Yes, she has every right to be in love with him. But does she have the right to ruin someone else's marriage? That is where the complication is.
chowdam prasad is that what your mother said to you when you were born? chow"dam"? :(

Correct! Simmi wouldn't dare use that line of questioning, those bewildered expressions and pressing tone with Mr AB. Double standards since Rekha is a single woman. Soft target for this type of invasive questioning. She has also interviewed Amitabh MANY times- did she even mention Rekha's name once??
starstudded84 yes she mentioned one time with amitji interview, he told no that is all creates media, she is talented co-star only he says
SIMI: so you now only see him in awards functions, That's it?
REKHA : That's a Lot.
Only someone who has been in love knows how much it is. To see them once just one glimpse once in some years.
I am watching this in August 2019 and must say this kind of interviewing is the best..Better then our talk shows today.
Really.
I'm here 2020 to know such an honest beauty existed and endured all the storms of media. If I was big B I would keep her on speed dial, just saying.
Way better than Koffee with Karan😂
Me watching this in 2021 june 24 at 4:45am and our exm is knocking at the door but I came here to adore rekha's gorgeous sultry looks.
Everybody knows that Bachhan was also in love with her. But never had the courage to accept it like Rekha did. She is the woman
He was not love in with her
rekha ji, that "completely, absolutely, passionately, insanely, desperately and specially hopelessly in love with him " was very personal from you
That it
that a lott.
I respect her for not spoiling her lover reputation. This is true love

OMG!
What a class interview! I love Rekha...A dreamer and such a wise person at the same time!!!
I must be an exception because I never fell for Amitabh Bachchan.
Same here🤭
Me also☺
I totally don't like him too with my whole heart...
I hate him
She is much better than him: more candid, kinder, he does not deserve her.But she admires him.As for me I would rather to admire her in the same way she admires him.She deserves awe, very good person she is.
Obviously it is a gender liberty ....Y only women should take all the pain ? ...why not men ?....still why ????
I guess it's not just one person asking another woman...
I guess it's two women talking about it..the comfort level that woman shares with the other woman is easy...
She did ask Amitabh directly about the link ups with Rekha..
“Is it a show about me or Mr. Bachan” 😂 Simi was being too nosy in this interview. I have watched other interviews of yours and it was great.
Actually she is very eager to knw the truth. But kudos to rekha to maintaining her charm
By the way...Is this the show about me or Mr. Bachchan👏Right question. One of the strongest women on earth.
🙂🙂😎😎🔥🔥
The face at 14:16, oh the heart cries a thousand tears! Loved the entire interview..a riveting journey through the life of a beautiful soul.
Omg... Rekha is a master of disguise.. She can twist and turn her words so beautifully...
She is calling Jaya didivai and praising her to the skies. Such dignity.
Rekha is not messed up. She is a twin flame. We can spend an entire lifetime in one namastae. Not everyone can relate to this for there are very few twin flames on this planet.
Thanks Simi. I love watching you. You both are beautiful and strong women.

Yes, I just realized the same. She’s a twin flame.
and the way she added "hopelessly in love". is so intense with all its pain and love and parting :)
One thing I observed she was trying hard to dig inside her head, but she didn’t get the answers she was expecting from her so she was getting pissed and it’s visible from her expressions especially on the topic of her father, Vinod Mehra and Amitabh Bachan.
My only curiousity is that from where did she leaned that perfectly fluent English 😩😩❤️
The way when she started talking about Amitji, she started blushing... she still loves him,!
God she is Aphrodite incarnate ❤️ I have always loved Rekha but after watching this interview I feel for her so much...As a sensitive person and a fellow Libran...I can’t help but sob. I can’t even be mad at her because I know any lover would do the same...
She loves so purely like Krishna...true unconditional lover Rekha ji ❤️

Love you forever Rekha ji and Thank you so much Simi ji for doing these interviews ❤️
God the way she expressed her love. I'm speechless. :')
"Not ne-ce-ssa-rily" love that tone and look,so sassy😂❤
As soon as she spoke about Bachchan she rested her hand on the backrest of the chair just like him. That is love.
she is still in love with amitab and i call it a true love
She jst has fantasy. And i think having crush and loving someone is bit different.
Omg she is so much deeply in love with Amitabh. Her eyes literally lit up talking about him. Truly admirable
It's quite sad her story and background.. falling in love with someone you can't have it happens people. at the end she lost but she was still an independent women who was broken.. She can lie but her admitting she loved him what happened between them will always be remembered between them.
I think she is doing the right thing by just being private about her affair. Why should she make it public and spoil her image
It's understandable
Kudos to Simi Ma'am for asking tough decisions so sensitively. Also, nobody realises that Simi ma'am is really keeping her relationships at stake by asking such questions. It is difficult to do that ma'am.
Respect from a budding journalist.
Love you.

The poor thing! All she ever wanted was to be with a loving husband, have kids and a family... This life has been so unkind to her!
I personally think she was too broken to have a stable relationship.
I love this woman and how brutally honest and unafraid she is of the world.
Ohh God ..her aura, her grace she is an epitome of beauty. She is a legend.
My admiration for Rekha, made me watch this episode, i have since then watched Rendezvous with Simi Garewal and its so simple and heart warming to hear each and every interview,.
When i was a child, i used to see Rekha as a mean and cold hearted soul, as i grow old i came to understand her true soul.
Poor Rekha...one thing and only one thing is clear from this interview - she had a painful life and she's trying to forget.
Love Rekha more than jaya in terms of human being
beatiful reka
LMAO Simi was so PISSSSSED OFF after Rekha said there was no affair... PRICELESS she lost her cool in an instant. Anyway I find Rekha very fascinating she is actually very in tune with herself, honest, and very wise. I think thats why some of you think shes weird. Shes actually speaking truth here but you don't understand because you cant relate.
Simmi wouldn't dare use that line of questioning, those bewildered expressions and pressing tone with Mr AB. Double standards since Rekha is a single woman. Soft target for this type of invasive questioning. She has also interviewed Amitabh MANY times- did she even mention Rekha's name once??
yes, Simi ji has asked Amitabh Bachchan about Rekha and if he still meets her in her older interviews.
U r right...........I can relate my life to Rekha 😇😇😇
The only thing I agree with her , that love can happen, but she is,not thrilled , it cause pain in any women's heart not yo have the man she loves,is,not in her life
I don't think Simi lost her cool she just appeared to be frustrated at the numerous jarring contradictions and blatant omissions and history re writing on Rekha's part. It had to be borderline insulting as well because Simi is apart of the film industry and was present for most of the events in Rekha's life and she insisted on lying
I love at the beginning where Simi says "the real Rekha lies in her fantasy"
Truer words were never spoken.

Same here.. Very well said I do the same actually
It's beautiful but at the same time sad to look at her talk so fondly about the unrequited love of hers.
why do people need clarity on anyone's relationships or non-relationships?
Simmi wouldn't dare use that line of questioning, those bewildered expressions and pressing tone with Mr AB. Double standards since Rekha is a single woman. Soft target for this type of invasive questioning. She has also interviewed Amitabh MANY times- did she even mention Rekha's name once??
To make their own life clear and better ! ;)
Very good question !
Just wowww.....
all she wanted from life was love family kids..its so unfortunate she is not bestowed with any of it.. feel very sad for her.. deprived of fathers love..no love from the man she is so madly in love with.. so sad..
So true :(
then why the hell fall for a man who is already married..she should have maintained the distance even if Amitabh was pursuing which I doubt..Am sure she seduced him into the affair and he regretted it later and ditched her as it was wrong to his lovely homely wife Jaya who left her career to take care of him and the family and never left him, but just accepted him with all his mistakes.

True
The way she says “in my entire life” I knew we can never have that grace.
I like how in between the camera registers reflections of the two women. Symbolising deep reflections in this conversation
7:18 for Rekha ji talking Bachchan Sir. Heart touching respect and love for Sir who is truly an institution of greatness in modern era..
12:29 Rekha's expression says it all. :)

Though she is denying there was no affair cuz he is a married man.
ny vibe yeah think the same..but donno why. AB is Not even Romantic by nature..she actually need a Romantic guy
Great Bangladeshi n how come u wanna know tht he pay her?

Wasn't she 13?
It was very strong love affair between AB and Rakha till Coolie incident. Jaya had tried suicide on couple of times but considering kids, she was helpless. After coolie accident, AB realized true love and dedication of Jaya and then closed all his feeling about Rekha. AB has moved on...So now Rekha ...! It is not good to cursing Jaya as she was wife of AB before Rekha came in his life. Now, all are happy with their choice...thats fine.
