I love coming back to these interviews time and again. Such insightful questions from a host who genuinely wants to understand her guests. I admire how Simi does not pander to the stars, instead she asks deep questions imbued with such respect that it allows the guests to retain their dignity while answering their truth. This one had me in tears- tears of joy for being able to go back in time when interviews had the ability to let us into the world of these celebrities and have us reflecting about their thoughts long after the conversation is over. Truly a masterclass in interviewing. Thank you Simi.
He's so genuine. He talks from his heart. No hypocrisy. No facade. My dad's favorite hero. Dad would say what a handsome man when we saw his black and white movies. He's such knowledgeable and intelligent man.
I'm amazed at how beautiful this interview is , it's without any doubt one of the best inteviews i've ever seen , i cried many times while watching it . Dev Anand my god what a legend ! he was so classy , well spoken and inspirational , the way he thinks is just out of this world such a rare spirit , I feel so jealous of the people who got to know him and speak to him , i would've loved to have a conversation with him about life , movies ,love and also bombay at that time , he was like a philosopher .And of course you Simi ma'am you're definitely the best interviewer i've ever seen so elegant , you know how to speak to your guests with your calm and soothing voice with your beautiful and interesting questions. I've been a fan of your show since i started watching hindi movies and you're absolutely magical . Here's sending you so much love and greetings from Algeria ❤️.
@@safronfield if the audience petitions hard enough it will happen. And if Simi is interested. Even a well done UA-cam show could go a long way. She’s the queen of interviews in India and she shouldn’t give up. Simi ji please consider.
The interview with Dev Anand is the very best of the best of Simi's show. This man has such a clean heart and a passion for life in his twinkling eyes. He doesn't have one single evil bone in his body. RIP Devsaab you will live in the hearts of your fans.
People who have Dev Sahab's mentality never break or commit suicide. He never thought of the past at all. Deliberately forgot everything to move ahead. He was TedX in himself!
Not understanding Hindi, this interview in English was most enlightening; Simi did a great job and Dev, so many of us Guyanese have named their sons after his screen name. This video reminds me how time passes so quickly. Thanks all
I also do the same. Then the words "Forget it. It's a part of life. It happens to everybody. Who knows something better may come off it" get me going again.
"When you are not working then you start thinking. You start drowning yourself in sorrow. " Golden words and so true! Dev Saab is my favorite actor, loved the way he lived his life. So inspirational. I can listen to him all day! Thank you, Simi, for this lovely interview, I have watched it many times and still enjoy it.
Wow 😍! I can't stand a full interview of today's superstars, this one was amazing. No pretence, so calm, so soothing, so intelligent!!! A big big hug Dev saab.
"It doesn't concern the world who dies who doesn't die." Never have truer words been spoken. My father's all time hero. Now I know the reason why 👌👌👌👌👌
Who the hell is Amitab, Salman, kharuk & rest of the Bollywood industry comparing to the legend Dev, Sahab he is, he should be & he will always be the king of the film industry, A gift I wish I got to know in my lifetime, thank you so much Simi mam, I wouldn't have know this gem, if it wasn't for you, I can watch this guru/ philosopher for ever.....& I must have seen this interview about 10th time now, & it will not stop there, every time I'm lost, or struggling, I'm coming back to this page...to take advice from the greatness, a forever living star. ❤💥

I keep returning to this interview, time and again. It never gets old. Dev saab's level of self-awareness and clarity of thought is outstanding, as is his detachment and pragmatism. He was revolutionary, really and extremely progressive. Simply love the charm and ease with which the conversation flowed, all through, providing a lot of wisdom for those willing to listen. Simply beautiful. 🥰💐⚘🌿🌻💞🤗
Sumita Chakrabarty Yes ....that’s bcoz Dev Sahib was born in Gurdaspur District ....all guys born in Gurdaspur District are visionaries and have a clarity of thought .....and I also feel privileged to be born in Gurdaspur District ...
My conscious leads me automatically to this interview sometime after fortnight. Simi has been a marvellous interviewer. This man is an island within himself. Detachment with every attachment. I am 29 years old but I really love him probably for his intellect. I wish I could be Mrs. Dev Anand at least in dream.
During his prime years, I must have been very young. His charm and irresistible approach towards the lady love was my inspiration. Have no regrets for following his foot steps. So happened that certain losses in my own journey has made me detached and yet loving every moments of the life. I owe a lot to Dev Saab for being my mentor. Will meet you one day on the other side, Sir.
imagin...if this interview was not done... all this knowledge would never reach his fans.. and we really need hosts like Simiji...excellent , completely intelligent...you know what exact question to ask when ...and what to extract out of a conversation. Salute to such an interviewer...and Love to our own DevSaab..
This man was a saint of Romance Rightly his autobiography is named Romancing with Life. Our inner self bless us! That's what Budhha says. Love you Dev Shab And Simmy Ji you are a darling host. The best and class apart ❤️ love and blessings 🌺🌺🌺
Agreed but kudos to SimiJi as well who in spite of not being a trained journo knows how to take an interview . She lets her guests speak instead of interrupting with never-ending ' buts ' .
The legendary Dev sahab was an institute in itself.🙌 What a rendezvous! 👏Really, I am speechless.. I saw many interview but this one is the bestest. While watching this interview I didn't feel any screen between.. I just felt that he was live in front of me.. his whole journey of life in just 45 minutes.. Amazing! I feel lucky to watch this interview.. What a great man he was! How handsome he was, even in his eighties! Truly he deserved this tag "Sadabahar Devanand". His vivaciousness & his energy was unmatchable. His thoughts, his attitude about life...everything is an inspiration for us. May God rest in peace his holy soul!💐🙏 Dear Simi ji, You are truly a Diva. Your grace, style, glory & charm is unmatchable. 😍😍😍 You are very cardial to Guest. Thanks for this wonderful interview. May God bless you always!🙏
Oh my god I can't even imagine how valuable this interview is today. Now he is not physically with us but his soul and his work will definitely live forever in this universe. I feel very lucky to be a huge fan of this humble, genuine, kind hearted person. And Simi ma’am, you are excellent. I have no words. Kudos to everyone who brought us such a marvelous inspiring interview. Love you both Dev saab and Simi ma’am from Sri Lanka🇱🇰
I am also from sri lanka and l am a huge of indian cinema whether its bollywood or any other and whether its old or new...but mostly love the era where great actors like dev anand , dilip kumar and Ashok kumar used to live🙏💕...l love simi ma'am a lot too
The moment dev saab said in interview that I am not afraid of death look like u are sleeping and gets in a different world and u died and it people behind u who cry . Made the moment of this interview . Speechless at that moment . Dev saab u will always be remembered . Your legacy and entertainment era can't be forgotten.
Yes, same things he quotes with the dialogue of film Guide. Dev sab was a evergreen hero. He was never old because he was full of curiosity and was trying to learn and make new things in life. He was simple ,transparent and great 👌👌
Tearful as I watch this again! A tribute to my dad who jus passed away.. He was as detached as Dev Anand .. and no wonder he was my father's favorite.. I love you Dad ❤️
What an Interview. this is not an interview, this is a lesson for life...every word every line you learn how to live life with great spirit, positive attitude... Such a beautiful interview..My all time fav Dev Anand ji
One of the best interviews ever of any star. How proud that he belonged our country and culture.. We are all so blessed, esp those who were in his times.
Loved this show, it’s probably the best interview I have seen in my life. Such a powerful and divine soul Devsahab was. He was truly inspirational to every generation, I hope more and more people see this interview, it’s so beautifully conducted like every show conducted by Simiji but this one’s all heart. God bless devsahab wherever he is, I learnt so much about life from his words which I knew in my head but never ever felt from heart.
Yehi toh ! Yehi tou Gulati ji, I fell in love with you just for few moments here in this text but I can't achieve it so I decided to not to commit anything against it. So, Har fiqr ko dhuein me udata chala gaya..... Thoda sa tha ye... I beg your pardon. Dev Sahab was a true human and very thoughtful man. I wish he could have lived more for our inspiration but generations are standing their to fill the gap. Gems are not born alone in Mumbai but....... Dev
Super awesome interview.. Dev Anandji was evergreen, he is evergreen and he will always remain evergreen.. What a man he was.. We miss u Dev sahab. May his soul rest in peace 🙏
I'm 1983 born, and i loved dev aanand frm childhood, my batch mate's used to make fun of me, but don't know why I never missed any Rangoli episodes for his songs, recently watched Guide... Now I understood that movie again from a different spiritual perspective ... Love you Dev Aanand
What a Charming man. His Charisma lives even after he left this world. Signature of a Megastar, isn't it💓 Mind you I'm a 90s born, don't watch old indian movies, but still in awe of this man.
I expected this interview to be recollections of the past and insights into some major Navketan successes including GUIDE. It turned out to be something much beyond the narrow realms of materialism...a life lesson from a legend who lived every second with joie de vivre. What an incredible man! When he uttered those immortal lines from GUIDE, I cried. How I wish I were born at least 5 decades earlier! Grateful to you for this interview. 🙏
I m speechless after watching this interview. It's one of the best interview that I have ever seen. Exceptional host & above exceptional Guest. The interview was like some preaching received, I had a bad day at work today was frustrated but feeling so motivated after watching this. I don't know why but I just cried while listening to his story & feeling so light after that. Each & every word made so much sense. Thanks for giving me this experience Simi Mam & team.🙏
42:18: Never hang on to a sorrow...its a waste of time!! Awestruck with the legend.💖 Simi ji you truly know how to become one's mirror- so that their reflections can be conjured up...Loved this rendezvous!💖
This is the Best interview I have ever seen on UA-cam. She asked all question gracefully and Dev Anand answered them all beautifully. covered full Life journey of the legend.
Truly Dev Saab is a legend. Not only he is a hero in movie but real life as well.He taught how to live the life to the fullest. His life gave the meaning of the song "Main zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya, Har fikr ko dhuwaye main udata chala gaya". Truly marvelous .The best interview in the show.
Such a great inspiration this man had been. His, the 'Never Die Attitude' makes him so special. Thank you Dev Saab for entertaining us with your mesmerising personality and unique charm. Thank you so much Simiji for making him speak from the bottom of his heart.
It's the first time I m learning about Dev Anand sir I am listening to him for the first time .. and I always have heard people talking about him like in the reality shows and people of the same industry talking and always addressing him as 'Devanand Shahab' .. and now I know why .. why he is so remembered and celebrated .. bcz he has an attitude .. for himself .. and towards life that is very positive and also different from others .. and he has his own mannerism own style that's his style .. I have enjoyed this conversation .. and I also write in my diary but from now onwards I'll try to include this way - only the main thoughts and incidents .. if I can I'll try otherwise I m very elaborative in describing my happenings .. I surely have learnt and enjoyed this .. and I m in my 20s so forgive me for not knowing about devand sir before .. and Simi mam you and this show is on the top of my favourite's list .. I am going to tell this to everyone .. I would be the happiest it today I see the same kind of talk show with you Simi mam and in front of you there can be anyone ..
Life is learning process. Look at that of 80's he says, he is still learning. The theme of his explaining life is basically a mix of intense love, passion, intelligence, creativity, religion, society, science, technology, humour, attachment and the most is your individual self confidence to deliver honestly on every front during your entire carrier with your self made principles. That's it and God bless you all the time. Khush raho.......
In 2020 I’m watching this in Australia 🇦🇺. I adore our olden days hero’s. The song and acting is so surreal that I just love to listen Mr Dev Anand talk.... very talented well spoken respected human being. RIP sir 🌹. Simi is so unique and special person.
This is the best interview that I have ever watched. I am speechless. Just enjoy watching the classy people simply talking to each other. It was great.
I am a young woman of 24,I am still enchanted by the charm of Dev sahab just like my grandmother probably would have been in her days. What a personality he was! Such an enlightening interview and I could relate to his beliefs,I don't hold my sorrows back.
Oh my God , This is the best interview I have seen in my life. This is what you get when you have two people of great caliber , class, humility , education , , success , experience , style , etc. Simi ji and Dev Sahab . Dev Sahab is a quintessential example of a person who just be himself from birth to death .
I have seen this interview multiple times, it motivates me, refreshes my mind, fills me with confidence. Truly Dev Sir is a legend. Thank you Simi Ma'am for sharing such a lovely rendezvous. Love you ma'am.🤗
It is 2020 and I am right here, in the middle of quarantine. Treating myself to this gem : ) Amazing interview, what a legend. Please come back Simi, this series needs a reboot.
Dev Saheb is a such a legend. Maybe the current generation has only seen his caricature. How sad is it for the current generation. Dev Saheb is a timeless man, a man of higher consciousness. 🙏🏻. So much to learn. I am speechless and hope to be like him
Best interview. From the exterior we see only his style, mannerisms, acting etc. But what a profound philosophy he had about life. Simi as an interviewer is superb.
What an interview ! Watching in April 21! Best actor Dev Anand ! The best host of all times Simi Garewal ! Love you Simi . Wish you were back to interview more.
Dev Anand ,thers so many things one can say about him, He is an absolutely brilliant human being, very charismatic, doesn’t live on regret or guilt, but it’s very clear tht he lost his first true love, , it’s sad tht religion stood in between his first love, Also a free spirited man,Excellent integrity, a super strong man wit a grt heart, Wish lots of ppl learned from him
When you watch this and try to imagine the cinema world when such charming, educated, cultured people were at work, then you end up feeling bad at what's being served to us today in the name of entertainment. The actors with fake looks and directors with false creativity should seriously learn from these people. Look how Simmi started the interview and the way Dev replied. Appreciating each other! while these days all you hear every one ranting endlessly about themselves. Looking at them the song that is crossing my mind.. .. khwab ho tum ya koi haqeeqat. Really they are like dream.
this show was ahead of its time. nowadays shows like coffee with karan, kapil sharma show make me cringe. Their vulgar jokes and nonsensical satire makes me miss shows like this. Sadly we are to blame, we dont want quality stuff, instead we want tiktok fun. thats why social media stars are role models of current generation and sensible people are called boring and orthodox.
You need not be unhappy with the state of things now. Just be true to yourself and what you believe in. Even the time of Devanand had its share of corrupt individuals who sided with the British. Landlords and nobles from royal families who indulged in reckless affairs and wasted their time and money in foreign capitals. Those times brought forth leaders of calibre, irrespective of party affiliations, who took India to great heights.
Just now I finished viewing this interview. I have seen and heard every frame and line with tremendous interest and intensity. It's the best interview I have come across so far. Such a complete man, besides being so glamorous. I felt satisfied at one end but my mind craves for something more. Dev Saab is so great both as a man and as an artist. I salute him. And Ms Simiji .. Her talents to elicit information and provoke the celebrity to share personal things with such an appealing sincerity. Hats off to her ! Thanks a lot for this video.
Seriously she was so generous and her questions were logical and she never forced anyone to say bad things about others like Karan Johar did in his show
No words to describe him! All the philosophy books fail in front of this man's philosophy and thought process. I have atleast watched it a 100 times ! Not only a legendary actor but a legendary human being with great and profound understanding of life! Hats off to Simi for interviewing such legends ! I wish the show could be restarted, this generation needs to see it!
You said it, gauri ji. Being a die hard dev Anand fan, I have also watched this beautiful interview more than 50 times. What a great man. True genius. Consider myself most lucky to meet this great legend in person and had privilege to speak to him , offer him birthday wishes. He was so courteous, down to earth, so nice. No words to express feelings about him.
An evergreen hero n a gentleman was Dev saheb. His death left a void in the film industry the interview was wonderful I had watched it several times. His pictures were fantastic.May u live long in our thoughts Dev sahab.
Notice when he speaks about his love of life he takes pauses between lines ,voice is very intense .Suraiyya and Dev were very lucky to have found each other.Almost sixty years after the break up he spoke with intensity about the episode, named his daughter Devina ( name decided by the two of them while dating) So what if they did not get married ,so what if they did date longer, they stayed in eachothers heart. The fact that Suraiyya did not get married is a testimony to that and the intensity in Dev's voice and naming his daughter Devina and mourning her death in silence is a testimony.
Brother, you comment is excellent on the part of suraiya and devanand,it was very sad that suraiya spent and died lonely with out her well wishers,Dev Saab had not taken care of her.Any how his hidden love on her was great, and the same in the case of her ,any how ,both of them not with us,God May bless them in the heaven.

Wonderful analysis...true..but sad very sad Suraiyya dynamic actress singer gone down after the separation lived died lonely ...but both loved and respected each other till the end..but Suraiyya ji. Epitome of chatector dignity....great......
Best interview ever I have seen. A true legend, a man with wisdom, experience, live life to the fullest... mein Zindagi me saat nibha tha Chala Gaya n life has given him in return for what he sow. Really mind doesn't get old as said by our Dev Saab an incredible man , there is no words to express of you. You are an inspiration to many. Thank you Smt.Simi Gerewal for interviewing him.
If this can't exite you, nothing will. Undoubtedly the best interview. It takes generations to produce Dev Anand. I appreciate your interviewing skills, so sophisticated, professional and classy. Simi Ma'am May God bless you. Best three interviews I like are Dev sb, Jaya Lalitha ma'am and Imran Khan
The Best Interview EVER! DEV SAHAB You Are The Best! Simi Ji You Truly Are A Magician. Just Loved Every Bit Of The Interview. So Insightful And Enlighting. THE BEST! THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL RENDEZVOUS 🙏
A person with such fine demeanour such an amazing intellect, a person so humble and so charming. He was the only one and he will be the only one. None will be like him. 🙏
Going through a troubled time in my personal life..this interview, these 45 mins are really like gold dust or even more than that...one of rare interview where interviewee is gracefully honest and interviewer set up a nice nice rhythm..almost godly....tremendous effort to speak..tremendous effort to listen and counter ask gr8 qs...life time lessons for almost anybody! God bless
Devand is hero of all genration, man of values, promises, commitment....even in 2021 every girls dream is to have someone like Devanand...the interview is so deep it's still recalling in my mind even after so many days....it's like digging our own heart so deeply and intensely
*Why not take relations for granted coz if its in your conscience it will be a burden & its not worth it then *Dont take the baggage of sorrows in your pocket & move forward..cry it out, burn it then & there, coz u have to see tomorrow's dawn . Biggest lesson learnt today, Thanks simi ma'am for this amazing interview..i guess from now onwards i will be less burdened. Great dev saab
Watching today and it brought me in 50s i closed my eyes and the whole time i never opened them again just listening to the stories and seeing them live in B/W image in my mind ... Just Wwow Simi G , what an interview , what charisma , what a gentle voice , DEV Sahab ki to kia hi baat he , evergreen DEV Sahab ........ i don't know i i think i'll be watching this interview everyday from now on . have saved this as an audio file to listen all the time ... Thank you so much for this Brilliant and charismatic Interview Simi G , GOD Bless you .
How such an intelligent out of world man was attached with his mom and at the same time scared from his father is amazing. That was perhaps an old type of reasonable upbringing unlike today's one. Hum bhi apne papa se bhaut dara karte the. Mujhe lagta hai ki ye hi sahi parvarish hua karti hai. Respect for Dev Sahab. I too loved that interview.
Dev Anand is a fantastic person with a great personality, his acting is unique and different from other actors of Bollywood, Dev Shaib reminds me of the Hollywood great actor Gregory Peck. With the style and swag, no one can beat one and only Dev Anand.
This whole interaction makes me feel so enlightened, amazing and this is so damn wonderful ❤️ Every line of this lovely interview is a lesson of life, and precious. It made me respect these people from that golden era even more.
I didn't know before listening to this video that Dev Saheb was such an intelligent person with great passion about films and most importantly very very honest man
Simi ji, an excellent and memorable interaction with Great legend of Hindi Film Industry Dev Anand Sahab. Through your show I came to know what Dev Sahab is. I have seen many films of Dev Sahab, and today I saw the greatest film of his life. On seeing the pages of his diary, I came to know the philosophy of human life in his words . His every sentence and every word teaches something related with human life . He described his life in few lines of film song " मै जिंदगी का साथ निभाता चला गया, हर फिक्र को धुवे मे उडाता चला गया...... Dont bother for anything, Go ahead and Lead the life, Forget sorrows pain, Dont store them for longer time in your brain..Disasters come and go .. Simi ji.. One must learn the art of interviewing from you, Great interview. Today Dev Sahab is not in this world ,My humble tributes to this great legend., Thanks a lot Simiji for this wonderfull show on Dev Anand Sahab. 🙏🙏🙏🙏.
The interview reminds me of a poem I read while schooling. A grammarian's funeral by Robert Browning when Dev Anand says, "I am still learning" Simmi ji that's a wonderful interview! In fact all your episodes are worth watching again and again. I admire you.
"There's a difference between a girl comes and says , look I love you, I want to go with you and to hell with the world and a girl who loves you and says, I hope you like my mom, my dad, my people, my religion..." Probably my most favorite quote by Dev Anand.
Oh man. This interview series never gets old. ..the class, genuine connectivity with host and guest, mutual respect. I feel I'm a little late in appreciating Simi's talent and interview. Wish she would revive this show!
One of the best interviews I have ever seen. He was so inspiring. Everyone has baggage ,we carry it but as he said just let it go make the best you can of your time in this world. Wow. I feel light . Thank you Simi Garewal for this. What an inspiring interview. You are undoubtedly one of the best talk show host in the world. Thank you mam 🙏🏻😊
What an exceptional interview!!! Call it a simple dialogue between these two... that suddenly becomes so magical, and the viewers are no longer passive bystanders. They are transported and become a part of this discourse... living it and loving every moment of it. Thank you, Simi Ji. Thanks for reuniting us with the legendary Dev Anand that forever will remain a part of us... much the same way as he was when we grew up watching his movies. Now, we got a glimpse of a "MAN behind the STAR." You can't help but admire him for his positive disposition, determination and carefree spirit. 🙏
Beautiful interview ! Only Simi , with her intelligence , sensitivity & softness & Dev Anand , with his charm & passion , could create it . Loved every second of this dialogue !
Lucky are those who have this in the form of interw, intelligence and intellect awesome.Same goes for Zeenat ji & Simmiji and Ratan tata..Raj mata,Baenazeer..and many more. This is timeless and believe me I'm not old I'm mature like Dev ji said.I'm from this generation but yes,I do adore all these gems and legends. A Big Thank you simi G 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Young generation like us shd learn something out of these inrws..unlike some coffee ☕ or chai.. My father's favourite-Dev G and Hes no more with us,I miss my father..11 th of December 2021.Ex-S.Maj(from Indian Army)My father's favourite song-Jo mil gaya usi ko..Har fikr ko dhuein mein udata chala gaya. I'm Prouddd of my father and his choice Dev Ji and mny more 🇮🇳
Na sukh hai, na dukh hai, na deen hai, na duniya, na insaan, na bhagwan ... sirf main hoon, main hoon, main hoon, main ... sirf main What a philosopher, always a learner. That explains what made him the greatest artist of all times! The greatest charmer India has ever seen.

Ufffff

People who have Dev Sahab's mentality never break or commit suicide. He never thought of the past at all. Deliberately forgot everything to move ahead. He was TedX in himself!
Har fikr ko duhain mein orhata chala gia.
That is DevJi the greatest of all.❤
VeryTrueFinickyWords
Very true❤
But it's sometimes important to look in the past too so you don't regret your decisions in future
"Your sorrows are citadels of loneliness, not for sharing with the world" what words, great philosophers would be proud of speaking ❤
So true! Deep words.
Karan Johar should watch and learn. This is how interview should be hosted. How simple, real, truth, sentiments it is. Simi mam really you are gem..
Karan show 100% fake hai
All questions and answers are pre decided taki public ko lage karan is talented 😂😂😂
Love story
after watching the video you think about karan johar stop complaining about people it not an ideal world enjoy the show...
Karan sucks ..this is a class act..wat an interview o I beg your pardon..RENDOVOUS
shut up
Not understanding Hindi, this interview in English was most enlightening; Simi did a great job and Dev, so many of us Guyanese have named their sons after his screen name. This video reminds me how time passes so quickly. Thanks all
Whenever I feel depressed in life .. i watch this .. what a man. Dev Sahab
I also do the same. Then the words "Forget it. It's a part of life. It happens to everybody. Who knows something better may come off it" get me going again.
i started doing the same.
Iam here also due to depression

Best comment yaar..
That made me cry
My father's favorite hero too❤️
Who the hell is Amitab, Salman, kharuk & rest of the Bollywood industry comparing to the legend Dev, Sahab he is, he should be & he will always be the king of the film industry, A gift I wish I got to know in my lifetime, thank you so much Simi mam, I wouldn't have know this gem, if it wasn't for you, I can watch this guru/ philosopher for ever.....& I must have seen this interview about 10th time now, & it will not stop there, every time I'm lost, or struggling, I'm coming back to this page...to take advice from the greatness, a forever living star. ❤💥

Islam, like Christianity, view God as a Master - God made in the image of the most powerful man of the past, of their day - the King/Dictator. @A k well said .nobody is like dev anand shaheb .he is truly a phenomenal star .👍👍
Sumita Chakrabarty one of my favorite actors of hindi cinema!

Its in his book too 'romancing with life '

This man was a saint of Romance
Rightly his autobiography is named Romancing with Life. Our inner self bless us! That's what Budhha says. Love you Dev Shab And Simmy Ji you are a darling host. The best and class apart ❤️ love and blessings 🌺🌺🌺
This is called a proper interview,n a well rounded interviewer.and Devanand is Devanand...what to say of him... inspirational man.
Agreed but kudos to SimiJi as well who in spite of not being a trained journo knows how to take an interview . She lets her guests speak instead of interrupting with never-ending ' buts ' .
this is my 5th time watching dev sahab n learning about his life n learning about the ways of enjoying life!!!
There is a reason these actors were living legend, and this is how interviews should be conducted lesson for this generation.
Yes
This interview is more motivational than all the motivational speaker videos combined.
WHAT A MAN.
I'm truly speechless right now.
May God rest in peace his holy soul!💐🙏
Dear Simi ji, You are truly a Diva.
He was simple ,transparent and great 👌👌
Fantastic
nakul bhardwaj shows his understanding of life and intellectual prowess. Rare intellectual in Bollywood, not many like him
Yes. Very true, touching statement by dev Saab.
Also watch simi mams expression on this quote.
True....no words
Tearful as I watch this again! A tribute to my dad who jus passed away.. He was as detached as Dev Anand .. and no wonder he was my father's favorite.. I love you Dad ❤️
Beautiful beautiful that all i can say
He's one of the most emotionally intelligent and emotional intutive individual I have seen and there are very few in the world who are like him.
I'm 94 born 😁😘, I'm also a gr8 admirer of Dev Sahab's. ❤️❤️👍 Ma'am fortunately.
I noticed one thing. Dev Anand had no releases in 1979/1981/1983
I born 1967 I love dev sahab and his films❤❤❤
1991 kid I am still fan of him
What a Charming man. His Charisma lives even after he left this world. Signature of a Megastar, isn't it💓
Mind you I'm a 90s born, don't watch old indian movies, but still in awe of this man.
Just a suggestion you should watch old movies they are amazing I'm 20 myself but I only watch old movies
Me also a hard core fan of this great man..
Yes, absolutely great, old films always great.
All the b&w movies of Dev sahib are very interesting and have many useful messages.
You are right

The evergreen Devanand. The legendary Devanand. Honest to the core, unbelievable confidence and heart of gold. What a Man! Love you Devsaab
This is the Best interview I have ever seen on UA-cam.
She asked all question gracefully and Dev Anand answered them all beautifully. covered full Life journey of the legend.
What an intelligent and articulate man. What a wonderful interview!! Respect!!
40:23 - 40.35 This is the deepest spiritual interview Simi ever conducted. Simi is giving him questions like a disciple.
I hope Simi reads this view.
she is even very much conscious of what could be the roots of some replies of dev anad
You put it so well, it is actually feeling like he is channeling the divine wisdom
Such a great inspiration this man had been. His, the 'Never Die Attitude' makes him so special. Thank you Dev Saab for entertaining us with your mesmerising personality and unique charm. Thank you so much Simiji for making him speak from the bottom of his heart.
Love him.. he’s gone now but his films, his dialogues lives forever.. one and only the great Dev Saheb..
Me as well... at 28
I'm 23 and feel the same
Oh my God , This is the best interview I have seen in my life. This is what you get when you have two people of great caliber , class, humility , education , , success , experience , style , etc. Simi ji and Dev Sahab . Dev Sahab is a quintessential example of a person who just be himself from birth to death .
Dev & Simi, 2 well educated, cultured and honest people discussing their thoughts & life lessons. Enjoyed it & will watch and recommend it in future.
Hrishi kappor mentor🤔😌🙂😁😡
I have seen this interview multiple times, it motivates me, refreshes my mind, fills me with confidence. Truly Dev Sir is a legend. Thank you Simi Ma'am for sharing such a lovely rendezvous. Love you ma'am.🤗
It is 2020 and I am right here, in the middle of quarantine. Treating myself to this gem : ) Amazing interview, what a legend. Please come back Simi, this series needs a reboot.

Great Human Being '' DEV SH4AB ''
Kitne logo ne pura video dekha? please like. Nice Interview!
This was, is and will be the greatest interview ever. The charm of Dev Saheb, you Simi and the sophistication of both of you are unparallel.
Dev Saheb is a such a legend. Maybe the current generation has only seen his caricature. How sad is it for the current generation. Dev Saheb is a timeless man, a man of higher consciousness. 🙏🏻. So much to learn. I am speechless and hope to be like him
Wow just wow ❤️
Hi..nice to see you here!
Dev Anand ,thers so many things one can say about him, He is an absolutely brilliant human being, very charismatic, doesn’t live on regret or guilt, but it’s very clear tht he lost his first true love, , it’s sad tht religion stood in between his first love, Also a free spirited man,Excellent integrity, a super strong man wit a grt heart, Wish lots of ppl learned from him
Gosh. Is there anyone who can dislike Dev Saab. His love for his mother made me cry
I am delighted guys like u me are literally breathing apart of this world
Yes you are right
Yatha praja, tatha Raja.the saying has deep meaning alas it used to be Yatha Raja Tatha Praja.Indian society is gone to dogs since 70's!!
You sure no fake looks at over 80, no grey hair full crop of hair, plastic surgery was known then. You can detect sadness at those by gone days.
@@rajkumarshroff4529 yes, I too agree.
this show was ahead of its time. nowadays shows like coffee with karan, kapil sharma show make me cringe. Their vulgar jokes and nonsensical satire makes me miss shows like this. Sadly we are to blame, we dont want quality stuff, instead we want tiktok fun. thats why social media stars are role models of current generation and sensible people are called boring and orthodox.

You’re so right
You need not be unhappy with the state of things now.
Thanks a lot for this video.
harish deo u r 500% RIGH
Superman
What I love the most is that you still read the comments and give them a heart!! You are incomparable I would say, better than Oprah!
What a Man.❤
The words he used were superb.
What an interview.
One of the best interview. Honest and simple DEV ANAND
Absolutely true. You have hit the nail..
Absolutely ❤️
Brother, you comment is excellent on the part of suraiya and devanand,it was very sad that suraiya spent and died lonely with out her well wishers,Dev Saab had not taken care of her.Any how his hidden love on her was great, and the same in the case of her ,any how ,both of them not with us,God May bless them in the heaven.

Wonderful analysis...true..but sad very sad Suraiyya dynamic actress singer gone down after the separation lived died lonely ...but both loved and respected each other till the end..but Suraiyya ji. Epitome of chatector dignity....great......
What an interview .It can change one's attitude towards life.Simply beautiful .
Oh my god, where was this interview all these days. Earlier people were so open. No hypocrisy.
Dev Anand is very broad minded, philosophical, dynamic and very young at heart always...
Yes. I consider myself very lucky to meet him in person . Great personality,
Going through a troubled time in my personal life..this interview, these 45 mins are really like gold dust or even more than that...one of rare interview where interviewee is gracefully honest and interviewer set up a nice nice rhythm..almost godly....tremendous effort to speak..tremendous effort to listen and counter ask gr8 qs...life time lessons for almost anybody! God bless
Devand is hero of all genration, man of values, promises, commitment....even in 2021 every girls dream is to have someone like Devanand...the interview is so deep it's still recalling in my mind even after so many days....it's like digging our own heart so deeply and intensely

You are a great person,sir
Greatest ever interview has been taken by anybody and also given by anybody.
This whole interaction makes me feel so enlightened, amazing and this is so damn wonderful ❤️
Every line of this lovely interview is a lesson of life, and precious.
If dev saab was born in todays era...we youngsters wouldn't even see light of the day cuz he would've OWNED us.
The interview reminds me of a poem I read while schooling. A grammarian's funeral by Robert Browning when Dev Anand says, "I am still learning" Simmi ji that's a wonderful interview! In fact all your episodes are worth watching again and again. I admire you.
"There's a difference between a girl comes and says , look I love you, I want to go with you and to hell with the world and a girl who loves you and says, I hope you like my mom, my dad, my people, my religion..."
Probably my most favorite quote by Dev Anand.
DiAnE and he's favoring which one?
The first or the latter?
@@wanzuuuuba5 well, he certainly chose the latter one in his life.

Marvelous line....
Oh man. This interview series never gets old. ..the class, genuine connectivity with host and guest, mutual respect. I feel I'm a little late in appreciating Simi's talent and interview. Wish she would revive this show!
Amazing personality....each word comes straight from heart....sharp,intelligent,sensitive n many more words....what a interview.
Dev Anand is a typical Libran. Intellectual and sentimental. Always active. I somehow admire him and feel sorry for him.
He was not libran dont want to defame wife
@@banikanaacharjee2322 what?
One of the best interviews I have ever seen. He was so inspiring. Everyone has baggage ,we carry it but as he said just let it go make the best you can of your time in this world. Wow. I feel light . Thank you Simi Garewal for this. What an inspiring interview. You are undoubtedly one of the best talk show host in the world. Thank you mam 🙏🏻😊
Guys such conversation don't deserve 15,000+ views they deserve views in 100 millions
The reason is we are a kind of audience who like to watch dumb and fake people onscreen. Sad though
In his autobiography, he doesn't say as much about his wife as he says here.
It is worth reading.
@@preetagopal5400 thanks. I ordered Ramancing Life on Amazon.
I watch this interview over and over again and love him even more every time. What a man
Beautiful interview ! Only Simi , with her intelligence , sensitivity & softness & Dev Anand , with his charm & passion , could create it . Loved every second of this dialogue !
