Im at 9 weeks. This is where I am after a partial knee replacement on my right knee. I'm still having trouble driving because it's painful because I have to use my right leg. I'm having pain in my knee still on and off and down my leg sometimes around my calf. It's really important that you do the exercises your PT gives you especially to straighten your leg. Right now I am at 0/104 extension/flexion I was able to walk upstairs at six weeks but not down. I took two weeks off from PT at six weeks because I was going to Hawaii for two weeks. I noticed that while I was there my knee swelling went down (because I was not going to PT) and I was able to walk downstairs! When I came back I went to PT and sure enough my knee swelled up again. So I canceled my following PT appointment to give it a rest and I'm going back again tomorrow. The surgery was a lot harder than I even imagined! And more painful than I thought. So at nine weeks I'm walking normally but I get tired fast, I still have pain and I'm only taking Tylenol, I'm sleeping better at night. On the plus side my scar looks terrific I can barely see it. I'm a 68-year-old woman who was very active before and hopefully I can be again

I’m at 5 weeks with bilateral TNR. I’ve already finished my PT and am back at the gym. Nothing too strenuous but more than PT can offer. I have full ROM but my strength has dropped off SIGNIFICANTLY!! Good luck to everyone..maybe I’ll see you on the leg press!

Agree! I’m at that stage presently. Trying to deal with constantly stiff knee.

next Monday i will be 9 weeks post op, and for the last few nights i have had a good nights sleep. I have cut back on my pain meds. My knee is still swollen, but not as warm as it used to. I have stopped physio, but still do exercises. I got for a 3 kms walk everyday, and have rode my ebike for 10 kms. I started out going to the golf range a couple of weeks ago, and did some putting and chipping. Never hurt the next day, so I took out 20 range balls, and hit some slow swings with my PW. Next I started speeding up my swing, and still good. Last week I took out 50 range balls, and he the PW and 7 iron. No pain the next day, so i was thinking of trying out the hybrid, 7 iron and pw and see how i feel. If pain free I will add in the driver, and see how it goes. I am thinking that if i am pain free, that i would get back into golfing, but take a power cart. Do you think i am rushing it a bit? Btw i am good flexion, and extension of my knee.

How long would most people be off work that have 12 hour shifts, walking between 20,000-25,000 steps per shift on concrete/grated flooring? I would imagine this would be longer than the ''work from a desk'' group.

I'm at nine weeks and I could tell you right now I could never do a 12 hour shift on anything on my feet. I can barely do the minimum and walk to my car and do grocery shopping and I still have a lot of pain in my leg and on my knee. I think you need at least six months to take on that kind of work load

I am 4 weeks after my knee replacement. While doing my exercise I feel clunking and clicking around the knee. Is this to be expected?.

I was told yes. I have an occasional click too, but I was told it was to be expected.

Has this dude experienced a total knee replacement? He gets his information from other people, not in anyway fist hand with pain. What does a duck say?????
