Nope we use these systems in indirect attack operations. You can't dig handline or push dozerline on 200ft flame lengths moving with the wind in complex terrain. But you can use road systems joined with dozerline and handline to build a larger box and initiate fire on your terms. You have to put fire on the ground to prevent the main fire from crossing the lines you're putting in. If we don't, it'll chug right through.
You can’t get paid twice, forest service hires you to lite fires, then to put them out?
