I just installed the Doorman version of the same today on my 11 with 219,000m. It’s stainless steel, very robust and about a hundred bucks less. All business. I haven’t had a problem with the OE pipe but spend a lot of time in the back country and now it’s one less thing to worry about.

I have the S&B air intake and the cold side pipe just as you. I have a 2019 F250 and Love both upgrades. The only difference in my install is I cleaned the censor before reinstalling it. Truck runs noticeable smother at idle and accelerates smother, also.
Well I just installed mine today I do have the s&b air cleaner now I'm looking at the 65 gallon fuel tank I ordered mine I'm just waiting for the delivery it might be a week to 10 days thank you for putting out these videos and you're right I did look up under the hood I don't think anybody's going to have a problem with a dealer putting a better part on there for the cold air pipe the other one when I took it off it's so flimsy and it looks like it's got a split already the truck has less than a thousand miles thank you again
'15 6.7 was completely factory and blew the cold side pipe with less than 30k miles. been running a sinister cold side pipe since and after tuning and etc., S&B intakes are the only way to go on these trucks
Love S&B products. Recently put their silicone body mounts on my 2015 F-250. Would have purchased this cold side pipe if it was available last year when my factory pipe cracked. Went with the H&S silicone hose and it’s been solid so far.

Well I guess I will wait intill the new cold parts company again. It's to bad that mind left me a few months ago. But will most likely to get it and keep it in the truck for the next time the oem blows again.
@@atm1513 but busted completely right? mine just has a crack on it and i see it’s leaking some oil from there. it’s riding fine but it did turn off while towing. i just ordered me the s&b pipe as well. idk if thats the reason it turned off twice .
@jairoalanis7670 on one truck it had a crack somewhere on top side and was leaking oil like yours. Only caused turbo not to boost up all the way... on another truck it busted from the actual housing connection, that's the one I taped up. But they didn't turn off automatically
Running an spe unit!! This one looks Awsome sir! I have also done some experimenting with a few different cold air intakes as well and landed on s&b. If you are running e on tuning s&b is the only way to go!! Factory Flow across the maf is critical for proper afr unless you are planning to do custom tuning on a dyno to calibrate afr. My truck ran like crap with several of the cold air intakes that I tested

I have a Mishimoto intercooler and CAC pipes I will be installing either this weekend or next. I currently have the S&B CAI and am logging IATs and turbine outlet temps after the swap. I'm looking forward to a gain in performance (in addition to what I got from the CAI) and lower temps from the new CAC pipes and intercooler. Also I'm patiently waiting for the arrival of my Banks Derringer.
What makes you think the mishimoto kit is going to actually run cooler than the S&B? S&B makes really good stuff, I can't imagine another kit running any cooler then what an S&B would.
@@curtisbull1583 S&B doesn't make an intercooler and they don't make a hot side pipe. If they did I'd have considered them as an option. I bought the entire kit. New intercooler, hot side and cold side pipes. Now let's be honest. Being that the cold side pipes from both S&B and Mishimoto are the exact same size ID it would be silly to think they do not flow very similarly.
Hey Arod quick question. I just purchased this for my 22 F350 waiting on delivery. I also listed you and your UA-cam channel for how I heard about product. My question is does this do anything other than just reliability and looks? I get it’s pretty hard to improve a relatively short pipe with just better than OE material but there has to be a gimmick or purpose for replacing I also noticed on website they have hot side replacement. If you look at Ford original equipment the hot side seems pretty much fine metal pipe rubber boots. Your thoughts?

Super video but I have a question seeing as you work for Ford if you put that kit on a brand new truck with under a thousand miles will that void your bumper to bumper warranty you would know you're in the field I'm not I want to order the s&b but I don't want to do something that's going to void the warranty I have a 6.7 diesel let me know thank you for the good videos you put out
I hand tighten with an 11m socket and honestly it just kept tightening which very little effort until the spring was completely compressed then snugged it up. It looks like your springs still had some compression left. Anyone else with same experience? I literally just finished install and started it up and reved it up but won’t be able to put load test until tomorrow. I’m assuming tight is tight and it would take some serious pressure to collapse the metal intercooler connection.
I’ve had a few different versions on my truck and have boost leaks at the CAC connection point as the silicone boot and oily air don’t seem to jive well. Not certain why it’s happened but the boost leaks were quite obvious when my mass flow dropped near 75-80 grams per second. Even did the hairspray trick with stronger clamps and it leaked. Replaced it with a stock unit for now until I can find another solution. Both options I used were from HS.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod silicone works excellent with coolant but with engine oils, not so much. Some silicone boot manufacturers use a different inner liner similar to viton to help with such issues. Have not come across any aftermarket ones with such a liner.
I'm replacing mine on my 2018 today because of rupture. My last truck was a 2015 super duty and it exploded on the bottom side of the pipe. So from my experience, if it hasn't let you down yet, it's going to. Not if but when.
What is your experiences on the 2017+ factory intercooler leaking coolant into the intake? I feel like the need to upgrading to Mishimoto or No Limit Fab intercooler.

Ironically I just noticed a used diesel oil smell today coming in my vents. Anyone that does their own oil changed knows what used diesel oil smells like. Anywho, my hose split about 3 inches right on top. I called S&B but they don't have an EO number yet on this product for CARB areas (f*ck California). Looks like I have to ship out of state and then back home. They definitely make nice products though.
So how will S&B products affect my factory and extended warranty that my dealer sold me when I bought the new truck? I wanna buy these products, but am extremely hesitant on getting them because of that warranty. Looking at the DP kit and the fuel filter kit to be more specific. Talked to my service advisor and he said ANY aftermarket parts whether there an upgrade and better than factory will be on my dime.
If you delete the DPF exhaust system then you’ll ruin your warranty. Other than deleting the exhaust, you should be good. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Only if what you did or the part you installed caused the failure is when they can deny it under warranty. Some may not understand that but several current and former service writers have told me that and a former Chevy mechanic friend of mine said that also.
Could this upgrade help with a check engine light I am getting? 2011 F350 6.7 getting a p026a after towing a 16k Fifth Wheel up steep grades for long periods of time. Had a shop check it out and they couldn't find anything wrong with the CAC and said the radiators were clogged, so they took the radiator stack apart and cleaned everything. Still getting the same code though.

If up near ARod, then he seems to be another excellent option. There are lots of mechanics out there but very few that actually properly find and fix your problem. Sadly the dealer is where I've had the worst luck with getting a good mechanic.

I’m running a Rudy’s diesel cold side kit. Very tight fit but so far so good. 50,000 miles on the kit.
H&S on my 15. That was the only one out there when I did mine

Been using a H&S cold side stainless pipe for about 4 years now. No issues with the factory pipe, just wanted the insurance.

No it didn't turn off. It just lost power and ran bad
I taped it up with duck tape to get me home. That Didn't work to well. But it still got me home slowly but surely

The hotside is fine. The cold side is rubber and very thin. They have been known to blow apart. Check out the video we made.
